Called about a year ago - my daughter answered and told the guy she was 16 and didn't have any money to donate.  He was extremely rude and said, "They why the Hell are you answering the phone".  Received another call this evening and I told the man about the last call and he said, "Oh, sorry.  I didn't realize we had already called you and we can remove your number from our call list if you'd like". I replied, "That would be great, Thank you" and promptly hung up the phone.  He did not sound at all professional.  Not sure if its a scam or what.  I did look up Mercer Co. FOP on the internet and this is what they have posted:

They solicit call for Mercer Count fraternal order of police...  The guy would not take no for an answer and kept insisting I tell him a amount of money $$ that I will contribute.  I HUNG UP!

The solicit donation for FOP...  they are BOGUS.  They are just trying to get your money... they are hard and relentless.  They will not end conversation until you tell him how much $$$ you will donate.  Report them to the New Jersey Department of Consumer Affairs or the New Jesey Attorney General Office in Trenton.  They are aware of their past scams.  Maybe this time they will do something?

Caller id said Trenton.  Caller said he was calling from Mercer Co. FOP.  I asked that our number be removed from their calling list.  Caller was rude and hung up.

they are soliciting donations... DO NOT GIVE...  There is a cease and desist order against them from the New Jersey Office of Consumer Affairs.  Report the calls!

Call came in over the weekend on caller ID, but no message left.
