Someone calls my cell phone from this number (or is routed through this number) at least twice per day. My cell phone doesn't have service in my work building, so I'm never able to answer and ask what they are calling about. When I call back I get the "All circuits are busy" message.

I just received a phone call from this man who said his name was Kevin Peterson...He had a heavy accent and said that I had committed a federal crime..He then continued to say you are ***8888 and your last four digits of your social are 1111 and you bank with TCF bank...So now I am freaking out becuase he the hell did he know this information?????? I also looked it up because he freaked me out, the calls are from Brooks Fiber....What the heck something needs to be done!!!!!

Brooks Fiber Communication owes a block of phone numbers for a telephone system known as ooma.  You can go to ooma.com to find out about this phone service.  Although ooma is a great phone service, obviously someone anywhere in the world has chosen a phone number from the Minneapolis, Minnesota area and started using this for scamming purposes.  I would recommend you call ooma at the phone number on their website, verify it is one of their phones, and request that they remove the phone from using their system. Their system is specifically for personal residential use, and not for commercial or solicitation calls.

computer keeps calling me as private no 218-213-9079 and tells me my new car (that i don't have) is going to run out of inc.

I have gotten numerous calls from 612-852-0021 even though I am on "No Call List".  Google search shows 'Brooks Fiber Communications'- the name appears with reverse lookup- which in MN is supposedly a communications company with petitions in court for extensions (years) to meet 'current standards'/  However, without adding the "MN" (BFC of Minnesota) there are MANY listings for a collection agency of the exact same name- from CA to TX.  The first listing happens to be here in Houston, Texas!!!
What IS this company?  Who are they?   What do they really do?  How does one report numerous calls which violate "No Call" ordinance?

i keep getting calls from 5072269208 number and they never leave a message. When i answer they hang up right as i hit the button. If i call the number back it tells me that its disconnected.  I tried to look up the provider of the phone line which is Brook Fiber communications and they never answer what the hell is this any one knows?

Unwanted calls to improve my financial situation.

Both me and my friend got called by number 612-524-0455 within seconds of each other and at least a dozen times.  This has got to stop, who can we report it too?

Received call at 1:30a.m. caller said he was reading from a computer and I was to answer the computer he was a relay person. Said it was an old girlfriend from high school, named kathy smith. I didn't go to high school. this is some one trying to collect a debt.  they are sneeky.

There is another call coming in from 651-855-1989 which is listed to Receiving Managements Solutions and it shows up in reverse as coming from brooks fiber. Now I cursed this man out because for five years I have had three different agencies in three states calling about a debt that KENDRA WASHINGTON OWES TO SOMEONE SO PLEASE PAY THE DAMN BILL KENDRA, anyway I went off on him big time and I have also written to the Attorney General about this matter. For the person that got the call starting with 011 that is the UK called it many times. By the way to the person about blocking numbers YOU CAN GO TO THE DO NOT CALL WEB AND PUT YOUR CELL AND HOUSE PHONE ON THE LIST

A couple of weeks ago i got a call from this number 612-524-0240. It was a foreign sounding man saying his name is "john" and that i have won $1,000 dollars. Since then, he has called me at least once a day, sometimes 2-3 times per day. Sometimes he talks and sometimes it's just silent. I have stopped answering, but it is still annyoing! Please help me out!

This foreign sounding person calls me and tells me he/she is calling from American Financial.  Told him/her I wasn't interested, called me back two more times and told me he/she was going to call me until I talked to him/her

i just recieved a call from this number and when i picked it up there was a loud beeping noise. i called it back and it said "all circuits are busy." about two minutes ago i recieved a call from an "unavailable" number, assuming it was my boyfriend since he is in mexico right now, and it was him. i asked him if he tried calling me two minutes earlier, and it was him.

it appears to be an international call routing number for the minnesota area. several people have reported this number dating back to november of 2006.

skype seems to be a fairly commonly refered to cause of this number showing up. the callers range from legitimate, noise, pranks and telemarketers/scammers. country of origin i have read anything from finland to russia to the dominican republic.

you can't call the number back as it is a router. it also doesn't always show as the 612 number... is often just shows unavilable or some other garbage spoofed number.

I've read reports of t-mobile and cingular users having issues with this number but that isn't to say those are the only two. i personally have called t-mobile and they cannot (or more likely willnot) block numbers so no luck there.

you can for a few hundered dollars by a new phone and add numbers to block that way - including all international (as this number has sometimes shown for me) or unavilable numbers.

unfortunately it sounds like by blocking this number you are potentially blocking any legitimate (cousin in russia?) international calls from reaching you and possibly blocking any caller that uses skype for toll free calling.

i receive a call from this number multiple times per day on my cell (i am t-mobile). the other end always sounds like the caller is in a factory and i usually get a very thick accented "hallo?" from the other end before it hangs up. This has been happening for probably about 2 months now at all hours of the day. Several times it has shown up as 01125224483913 or "unknown" however recently it showed as 612-524-0240 which is a local area code for me. Under all three caller id names it has been the same caller on the other end.

I got a phone call from this number 20 minutes ago. I was busy,so I missed it. I don't know this number, and  I'm checking this web now to find out who just called.

my parents have been in Mexico for the week and they have been calling me everyday to check in, it would allways come up on my cell phone as "unkown number" then today it came up as "612-524-0240" which i found really weird cause thats neither of my parents cell phone numbers, and thats an area code from right by where i live... i was starting to think that they had lied to me and are actually 30 mins away from me this whole week... but i dont know, what Kellie said before me kinda makes sence, ill look into it more

This number came up on my cell and I didn't answer and a message was left by a colleague of mine, it's just a default number from t-mobile from a switch board, so it's not always bad, it could be your best friend.  I'll ask my colleague whic cell carrier he uses, but I have t-mobile.

I received these calls as well. For me it was a man with a heavy accent and his end kept breaking up so it was difficult to understand what he was saying. I did tell him "wrong number", to which he acknowledged, but that did not stop the calls.

I did not answer the last call, no message was left.

just got a call from these phone perps.  Time: 10:47AM  Date: March 22nd, 2007.  Called and hungup before I even picked up.  

I received several calls from this number. No voice mail messages were left.  I tried calling this number and it says that 'we are unable to complete this call'

Caller called my office line then my home line after midnight.  I answered the phone they hung up.

I am getting calls from this number several times per day. No voice mail is ever left. When I call back it says that the number doe snot exist.

I picked up once and a woman said something about me ordering medication online. I asked them to stop calling because I did not order anything. They continue calling anyway.
