Same as everyone else but using the name Jeffery Peterson..This is a Total Scam I called him out on it and he has yet to respond. They need to shut him down!

I have  a 2012 bison horse trailer/camper for sale on Craig's list, this person kept texting me saying he was over seas in the marines on duty and wanted me to do pay pal and he had some one who could pick up the trailer. He said he lived in California! I refused to do pay pal,as this is a expensive item. And no one would buy it with out looking at it first. He got mad at me and said he was going to report me, I said go ahead!

We got the same message,  but I was wondering how do you know how the scam works I mean if they pay though pay pal and say they are going to have it shipped, does the guy then take your money back, I am not sure I understand the goal of the guy, what is he trying to scam?  We didn't do buisness with him because he would not call us, only text. I googled his number and name and I am glad that I did. This is our first listing on craigs list so not sure how the whole process works. But I did feel weird about the guy anyway. What kind of person won't talk to you.

Got a text for "him" this morning. Wanted to buy a bull at asking price via PayPal. When I said I didn't have PayPal the next message came and they totally ignored that point. Said he had his own shipper who handled all his stuff all around the world. Wants to send it to his new home "at Mississippi". Went by Jeffery Peterson. Phone numer used is a "VolP" phone which used for telemarketing out of the Twin City, Minnesota area. Also wanted me to pull my add off the Craigslist site and said he would be my favorite buyer. Even if I didn't know it was a scam I would be very leery of doing business with some one who could manage to should so stuck on them selves in a text message.

Same thing happened to.me today word for word they just used a different name ,wanted.to.use a paypal to finalise the sale. Has hos own delivery that would.pick it up, read pay pal terms and u will see the catch to trafeing with them, they hold ur money until it is for.sure all requiremnets r met and.if.the buyer wants in that time.frame they can say the sale wasnt what thwy expected and cancel the transaction , meanwhile u have given them.the item.and.title.amd ur out.of.everything so.please beware of.this read the Terms of.usage then decide if.u want.to do.buisness like that.

Received a text re a Craigslist ad agreeing to price and wanting to use Paypal.  I did not  respond or try to call as it was obviously a scam.  "Hi am collins wilson do you still have xxx for sale? am ok with asking price Payment will be made via paypal"

Same here, got a text when the posting clearly says DO NOT TEXT! wants to pay via Pay-Pal. I always Google the phone numbers...This one has more comments than most. LOL Goggle you own number Dumb A**!

Got a text message 1 hour after posting a camper for sale....as others have said, if it sounds too good to be true, it usually is. Thanks for helping me to decide to delete the message.

Put kymco scooter up on Craigslist, and got text from this Wilson guy almost immediately. Wanted to pay on Paypal sight unseen, and have it shipped. If something appears to be too good to be true it usually is!!!

1-612-567-3044 got numerous texts from them, same story, but different occupations and different names every time from an ad I posted on craigslist. How do we get the suthorities to put an end to these scam texts. Oh yeah, and they refuse to call, they will only text

This is a scam number, same situation as the others posted. I have an ad on Craigslist and they are using the name Collins Wilson. They want to pay by paypal and have it picked up and shipped.

Received a txt from this number wanting me to pull ad off of Craig list. person sending txt gave a name, and was telling me they will pay through paypal, strangely I do not have a paypal account. in txt message they said they would have someone pick up item, after I received payment.
