Prank Call
Got a call from 612-899-3500 and answered it to tell them off. Caller ID showed Unlimited Health but call was someone claiming to be from the collections dept of American Readers Services. I did business with them years ago and paid them off years ago but still receive calls, probably because I've paid money to them with a call from collections. Got checked off as a easy mark I guess. I told them I don't receive mags and never ordered any and that they should not call back then hung up. Best not to even pick it up.

I keep receiving this call and they leave a message for a different person every time...I am wondering if it is a Medicare fraud.

DO NOT ANSWER!!!  This call is coming from someone 'claiming' to be from SecureHorizons, Evercare, or UnitedHealth Care.  As an insurance agent who sells these products, we would never call you for information over the phone.  We always send letters.  THIS IS DEFINITELY A FRAUD!  BEWARE.

Prank Call
Also received a call from this number on my cell phone - don't have a land line and those that have my cell phone number are limited. It is a robo call and the message says they are from United Healthcare. After that the robo call keeps asking me if I am Jesus Granbis(?) - in Spanish a J is pronounced as an H.If you stay on the line the robot goes through is Jesus there, where is he and as someone already mentioned all you can answer is a yes or no. I appreciate everyone taking the time to add their experience, it helps.

Thank you for all the info "Carole", "Concerned", and "Got Their Number".  No one should ask you what medications you are taking...that's an invasion of privacy.  In addition, if this is a legitimate company, why are they hiding the real phone number they are calling from?  The real proof is that Secure Horizons states that they are not making these calls.
I am still receiving calls from this number but never answer.

I get a couple of calls a week from this number. No message is ever left so I don't  bother to call back. If it is important, leave a message! Or write me a letter! I see that some people have confirmed the caller claims to be from Secure Horizons. I do have secure horizons but they can contact me via email or leave a message on my voice mail if they have a legitimate reason to contact me.

Actually, since you have an existing business relationship with Secure Horizons, the Registry allows such calls.

The DoNotCall Registry works on voluntary compliance like speed limit signs on highways. Honest telemarketers honor the Registry, abusive telemarketers and scammers do not.

I have a Panasonic phone, and you actually block calls with the phone rather than with the phone company. If you go online and look at Panasonic phones you will find some models have a call blocking feature.  There may be other phone makers that have the same ability, I don't know for sure.

I got a call from this number with a message that it was Secure Horizon Health.  As I am with them I called back. Got a recording saying that phone number was not in service.  Also when the call came in, the caller ID shows Minneapolis. I put them on my call block list.

Thanks for calling Secure Horizons and checking to make sure that the company that is calling from this number are who they say they are. In the case, you found out they are NOT affiliated with Secure Horizons. Scary that they can get your number and know that you have this health insurance. I never answer any calls that I don't know the number. If they call back and they haven't left a message previously, stating who they are and what they want, I add the number to my address book and give it a silent ring tone so I never hear them call again. I have Verizon and don't know how to totally block a call as TaxMaxx suggested. Can anyone tell me if it Is hard to do and how to do it? I would love that option.

After googling the number and finding this forum, I called Secure Horizons to let them know what is happening and gave them the number that called.
The man at Secure Horizons said it is definitely fraudulent and not to answer anyone who calls with questions about my insurance.

I too have been receiving calls on my cell phone two or three times a week.  This is from an automated response system from "United Healthcare Retiree Plan", asking a few questions.  If I answer anything other than Yes or No the questions, the recording continues anyway.
I have just place a block on my verizon wireless account for this number, which apparently is "not in service", although the non-service number is able to call anyway.

This is a service AARP uses through Secure Horizons to get feedback from there customers that have called in past either to AARP or Secure Horizons. But other companies use them as well regardless They use a telemarketer Firm in Prague that AARP and Secure Horizons has contracted with and has given valuable medical and financial information. The delay you get is from the overseas connection through Global Crossings which route's the calls to appear as if from the United States. It is a very scary and elaborate system and you can give a big pat on the back to Capital Hill and the Lobbyist that got this passed. But by excepting call you agree even though not informed to give information to Credit Bureau , Other insurance carriers ,etc ,Most of the Hackers that milk the elderly out of billions are in third world countries that have obtained this information from these data bases.BIG BROTHER is to BIG .Things you can do,keep near phone pencil & paper in hand plus sadly enough if you can afford recording equipment(most states allow but do it anyway) .1st) get name of caller there ID and/or Operator # Location calling from,That this call is not and does not form any agreement, reason for call, callback # with ext, plus there immediate supervisor's name. Then tell them before any other info please mail to you so that you call review, when they ask for your address that they should have, just tell them you just got a new PO box and will get this information ,leave the phone sit for 10 mins when you pick it back up. If they have not hung up after asking the first three items, just start asking them silly questions or read them a story or that you have kept them on the phone as the police have requested for the time it takes to track the call, but that they have nothing to worry about its just your work in assisting the law in a STING operation as there has been a series of fraudulent telemarketers trying to get personnel information from people. While some of this might seem silly or absurd there are many senior citizens being milked out of everything they have and someday it may be you or a loved one. Please make there life miserable by just keeping them on the line THIS COST THEM MONEY if you have the time ,sing or tell them you must go as the nurse is on there way back to the station and you just got out of restraints yesterday .Simply put, you will find 99% hang up after asking name, id,company representing but, the pros are thick skinned and you got to do your part to stop this type of abuse. You can block the call but they will use another . "To All if it is important they will send you a proper notice in the mail" and this must be check as well! To all the blessed people that are elderly and helped build this great country take the mail to a trusted friend, or call or go to a local senior assistance facility. And check into local meetings in your area that can help you.   AND YES THEY HUNG UP WHEN I ASK FOR NAME AND CALLBACK #.   Good Luck

Got a call from 612-899-3500 Twin Cities, MN from a recording that said they were calling from Secure Horizons asking for me by name and need to ask me just a few questions for my health plan.  They said they would call back if I didn't have time then (the recording said) but not wanting them to call back I said yes.  I answered the first two questions because they were non-evasive but then they asked what medications I was on so I hung up.  I called AARP Secure Horizons and asked them if they are calling people in the evening regarding their health plans and the gentlemen said he did not know of any such calling and to be sure I didn't get any calls from them  he put it in my record that I do not want phone calls just in case.  Meantime I am also putting that number on the Do Not Call list.
