they called me sayin that they are looking to get a hold of my deceased mothers estate. I assured them that she is alive and well, they then backpedaled saying that it may be someone with the same name. do not give these people any info.

I keep getting a call from this number. I never answer. They always leave a message. This is fishy. They need to be turned in to the authorities.

Said it was a state info service. Looking for a Glenn Julian. I have had other companies call for this name claiming they either had money for him or a warrent for him. When I told these people that I am not him and where did they get the #, caller said from Internet. When I said that was a bold face lie as I have had this number for over 4 years, she hung up on me. I called back and got switchboard and after repeating same give and take, she hung up too. I've worked CSR and collections for legitimate ops. I have no idea what these people are in biz to do except waste electricity.

Estate Information Services
They apparently try to collect the debts of deceased individuals from their heirs or relatives. I have read that there are only a few instances and a few states where someone else can be forced to cover the debts of a deceased person. Usually this involves someone that is a co-signer of a loan, credit card or other kinds of bank account. Just being a relative is not enough. The collection agency should contact the executer of the deceased's estate in order to obtain payment, not the heirs or relatives, before funds are disbursed.
I received a call/message from them asking for someone that I do not know. They either have a wrong number or are fishing.
