When I contracted for Charter Communications service, they misspelled my name. After trying several times to get them to correct, I gave up. The person from AASTTNTL keeps asking for someone by that name. Wonder where they got their calling list?????

Get calls from this number multiple times per week.  Calls from 7:30 a.m. to 9:30 p.m., even on Sundays.  The one time I picked it up, no one was there.  Some think it's  a group asking for donations for State Troopers.

I GET CALLS FROM AASTTNTL SOMETIMES SEVERAL TIMES A DAY. USUALLY 2 RINGS, THEN HANG UP, NO ONE APPEARS TO BE THERE. I DO BELIEVE IT IS A CALL BANK FOR DONATIONS TO A "REAL" OR "FAKE" GROUP COLLECTING FOR STATE TROOPERS, SINCE I DID GIVE TO THEM ONCE, AND I RECALL THAT NUMBER COMING UP.

WHETHER IT IS STILL A LIGITIMATE NUMBER OR A SET-UP TO RAISE MONEY FOR WHO KNOWS WHAT, I CAN'T TELL. IT SHOULD BE LOOKED INTO THOUGH. APPARENTLY, THEY DON'T WANT TO BE TRACED, OR THEY DO AN OUTSOURCE JOB, GET PAYED FOR HANGING UP. NOT A BAD WAY TO JUST SIT AROUND AND QUATSCH WHILE BEING PAYED BY AN UNSUSPECTING EMPLOYER? ANYWAY, THE TEL NO. IS 615-212-4904.

ANOTHER POSSIBILITY IS THAT A COMPUTER HAS BEEN SET UP TO KEEP DIALING NUMBERS THAT HAVEN'T RESPONDED YET. SOMEONE FORGOT TO CANCEL THE COMPUTER CALLS, BUT SINCE THE FUND DRIVE APPEARS TO BE OVER, WHEN A PHONE IS ANSWERED, THERE IS NO LIVE PERSON AVAILABLE ANYMORE TO ASK FOR DONATION, BUT THE COMPUTER KEEPS ON CALLING.....

tHOSE ARE MY IDEAS - ANNOYING TO SAY THE LEAST!

I get a call from this number, 615-212-4904, at least once a day.  In fact, my last call just came in at 7:57 pm Central.  No one has spoken when I pick up the phone.  Last night after saying hello twice, I told them they had one second to say something, and they hung up.  Tonight I told them not to call my number again.  Fat chance they'll listen, right?  I, too, am on the DO NOT CALL list, but perhaps this is indeed a solicitor to whom I have made donations to in the past.  I saw the State Police mentioned in the thread.  I've supported them in the past.  

All I know is that I would like these calls to cease.

Some online forums have suggested these people are in some way connected to the Tennessee Highway Patrol.

The organization in question does not represent the TN Highway Patrol nor the TN State Troopers Association in any capacity whatsoever.  They are not fund raisers for the agency, either officially or unofficially. There are no outside agencies that raise funds for the TN Highway Patrol, nor does the THP raise any money for themselves.

THP does sponsor and participate in donation drives for legitimate charities, NONE of the money goes to agency.

The Highway patrol has logged many hundreds of complaints regarding calls from this number and the TN Highway Patrol continues to assure the public there is no connection between them and this "AASTTNTL"
