I just another call about 10 minutes ago.  Yesterday I was called twice by some 702 number.  I put my number on the do not call list, I suggest you guy do the same.  Maybe we could file a complaint on this harassment.

1.  Telemarketing on a cell phone IS illegal.  Calling you after you have requested to be placed on the do not call list IS illegal.  Calling you outside of business hours IS illegal.

2.  The Caller ID is fake.  Any company that has a digital phone line can program their phone system to provide Automatic Number Identification (ANI), that says whatever they want it to say.  They can literally make up any number, which then shows up as Caller ID.  That's why they are using out of service numbers.

I filed a complaint with the BBB against "Auto Warranty" out of Chicago, and they responded that they do get a lot of complaints, but that they do not engage in telemarketing.

The next time they call you --- TRY to get a physical address (even a P.O. box).  Tell them you need to know where to mail the check (lie, of course).  When I confronted the last bozo, he claimed that he was the floor supervisor, and my call could not be escalated.  

At $500 per call AFTER asking to be put on their do not call list, they owe me $1,500.  If anyone can help track these scammers down with a physical addres or *real* phone number, please post here.

I also filed a complaint with Ford Motor Company, but looking at these posts, they are probably war dialing rather than using personal information that they stole.

These calls are ridiculous. There are so many of these companies out there about car warranties that call my home several times a day! Such scams, please stop calling me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I got two calls on my cell from 615-563-7904 in the past two days.  I didn't answer them and they didn't leave a message.  When I called back the number was out of service.

A little while ago, I foolishly answered a call from 732-727-0395 and a recording started with the car warranty scam.  I hung up immediately.

When I got calls from Louisville, KY number 502-432-7127 in mid-July with the same pattern (out of service??), I didn't know what was going on.  Thanks to this Web site for heloping me figure it out.

Is there anything that is affective in stopping this?  Why is this scam targeting me?

If you call the number back it says it is NOT IN SERVICE. How do they get away with calling from a number that is not in service. I get these about once a week.

Same pre-recorded crap about warranty expiration for a car wanting you to press 1 or 2, don't press anything!  It's a scam, hang up immediately and block this number.

I have gotten calls from this number for several months.  I have never answered since I know no one in TN.  If they really wanted to talk to me...they'd leave a message.

Called my work telling me my factory vehicle warranty is about to expire and this is the last a final notice...Both of my vehicles were purchased about 4 months ago! And one is a lease! Tell this guy to stop calling with a scam like that. Plus this number is registered to someone in TN.

I thought it was illegal to solicit people on their cell phones if they haven't given you their number and permission to call. Has the government or congress or whoever passed the bill so that telemarketers and scammers can call peoples cells? This is LAME!

Call to my cell phone from 6155637904.  I didn't answer and almost never answer unknown numbers.  Last few times I have, they have been auto warranty expiration scams.  My car is 50 years old, of course it's expired.

Um, my vehicles are both paid for--and at least ten years old. Of course my warranty has expired. Jeez. What a scam!

IS NEVER GOOD TO ANSWER BECAUSE THEY COULD BE RECORDING YOUR VOICE. AT WORK, A COMPANY USED PART OF AN EDITED RECORDING OF MY PHONE CONVERSATION TO SEND ME PRODUCT SAMPLES AND A BILL STATING I SAID IT WAS OK.

I get a call about my factory warranty expiring!!! At least twice a month on my cell phone.  What's funny is that at work, we get a daily reminder that our factory warranty has expired.  We just laugh and hang up, I don't know of anyone that has stayed on the line long enough to listen to the whole message. But I will stay on next time and see if a real person gets on the phone and give them a piece of my mind.  Will post again soon. LOL

Received a call a few minutes on my cell phone (which is a number I do not give out). Recording talking about my vehicle warranty being ready to expire. Well I lease a BMW which has 4 years of maintenance for free so there is no warranty to expire. What a scam. When you try to call the number that he called from says it is a disconnected number.
