Call me everyday sometime 2-3 times a day.  Robot call saying that they need to talk to me about my credit card.  Its the same type scam call I used to get from "Rachel" at Card member services a million times a year.  With Rachel I pushed the number to talk to a rep.  I got a rude man, who wouldn't give his name, I said I wanted to be removed from his list and he screamed F@ck you and slammed phone down. For the next couple of weeks I got hundreds of calls from them through out the day.  They stopped for very short time when Feds said they caught them and shut them down but now they are back.  I have reported to state and federal Do Not Call many times and get letters saying they couldn't do anything but will keep on file.

Most of you folks don't know anything about how the system works. Stop your petty complaining!

All you have to do when your phone rings with a number you don't recognize is to either let it ring, or stop the ringing as I can do on my non-smart phone. The number is recorded on your phone. Simply SAVE IT to your call list and LABEL IT "SPAM' or something else and add two more letters so you aren't typing over a previous saved number.
Then, when they call you again, you will know it's a nuisance caller and just ignore it.

As explained above, the DO NOT CALL system is a farce.
Don't waste your time or mental peace of mind trying to do something about these callers. YOU WON'T HAVE ANY EFFECT!

I get these calls all the time and just don't answer my phone if I don't know who it is.
ANY ACTION YOU TAKE only helps these people spread your number around their system and creates MORE OF THE CALLS.

STOP HELPING THEM...THEY ARE MUCH SMARTER THAN YOU ARE.

They rely on the ODDS that someone will finally play their game out of all the many calls they make. That's why they have a robo call system.
Unfortunately for them, they take too long for one of their 'representatives' to pick up the phone before you get tired of waiting for someone to come on the line. And even then they get many of you to call them back to find out what the call was for or to ask them to stop calling you.

THEY DON'T CARE!

For anybody reading this, please continue on ----- and, p l e a s e, report these people to https://www.donotcall.gov     Remember, strength in numbers works.   (As former federal law enforcement, I can tell you one or two reports may not do much, but when multiple reports showing pattern of abuse start adding up, the feds will take action.)       Like many of you, I too am on the Do Not Call Registry and have instructed these folks to stop calling and told them they will be reported as violators.   Reading posts from some other reports, I see that I am not alone in having "Michael" be abusive and using vulgarities, etc.   Let's all band together and get corrective and punitive action against these people started.

say and see how it feels!!!!

Folks, Does NOT Matter if you are on the do not call list. These scammers get around that joke law by calling from a boiler room with trunk lines connected to a regular exchange. Most of the time they are located out of the country but will have a East Or West Coast exchange.
Also beware theses folks are attempting to STEAL your identity by requesting specific information from you like; date of birth and social security number for the purpose of getting you credit assistance. The information requested opens the safe on you for these jerks and ruin your life.

Continuous daily calls from 616-613-2797. Caller  ID appears Bank Card Services.  Do not pick up. Several scams with this number as indicated in posting above. A couple weeks ago I invested $100 for a Digital Call Blocker that someone wrote about. Did a web search and ordered on line (company is out if NV.). Works as promised as I block all incoming 800, 866, 877 calls in addition to adding the number above and any other unwanted calls. The blocker lets you block all calls from a particular area code (as above) and individual numbers. When the jokers call your phone does ring once than drops their call.

I have been recording these calls.  Just got another call today from 616-613-2797, and it is the SAME woman's voice as the one I recorded from 586-231-3659.  Both were pre-recorded robocalls, but with differing scams:

Scam #1 message from 586-231-3659 (call received 4/24/13) re: "YAZ, Yazmin, or Ocella..." (advocating litigants for class action lawsuit)

Scam #2 message received from 616-613-2797 (calls received on 4/23/13 and 5/8/13) re: "Final notice as it relate to the financial stimulus..." (lower interest rate payments)

I am posting this on both numbers to assist people in cross-referencing these crooks.  Ultimately, by cross-referencing the numbers maybe we can triangulate and put these scammers out of business.  They obviously have many different ploys to lure people into their scams.

Like others, received a recorded message upon answering.  Such robocalls are illegal, and may result in lawsuits with awards of up to $1500 PER CALL.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Telephone_Consumer_Protection_Act_of_1991

Needless to say this is a great incentive for those having the time to keep detailed logs of the calls, record the calls, and cross reference the numbers calling with similar scams.  Oftentimes the numbers are spoofed numbers leading to the same call center.

The DNC list is ineffective, and complaints lead to small fees that are considered a cost of doing business to these scammers.  The way to really hit them in the wallet is through small claims court.

You are paying TAXES to a federal government run by the wealthy, for the wealthy. A lot of your TAXES (100's of Billions "off budget") go to fund the NATIONAL SECURITY AGENCY (NSA). The NSA spies on you, but don't feel special, because they spy on everyone (even if it is illegal to do so). They also store and analyze  data from a lot of "third party" data mining services, masquerading as "Internet Advertising Solution Providers, search engines, direct marketing firms, and credit reporting agencies" (etc.) Believe me... THEY (NSA) know who is calling you, and why they are calling you, (same with your E-mail - including the SPAM). They are doing it to protect you? YES, if you are wealthy, influential, and own impressive assets. The rest of us (the 98%) mostly just PAY for it.
My point is, the government really does have all of the information they need to put a sudden and complete stop to the harassing, thieving, irritating, (and illegal) scam callers. Same; for identity theft rings, spammers, phishing websites, and scam postal mail. It is just not a priority for government, because few of their wealthy "constituents" are being inconvenienced. I think also, the Feds would rather "WE" did not know how comprehensive their snooping operations have become. They can forget that, because anyone who cares enough to pay attention, already knows (in general terms) the extent of the domestic spying. Let's MAKE it a priority for the government to help us. It is a lot easier to support all of the (expensive) things the government(s) do "to keep us safe" so long as they help rid us of the jerks that are making our daily life a "pain in the neck". Write your congressman - Tell him we don't need another watchdog agency, we just need the existing spooks to share (some of) their information with our LOCAL law enforcement agencies, who really DO CARE enough to defend us against scum.

I worked for a telemarketer for a while.  Every time you push a number to "be removed from " their list, it saves your number as a legitimate connection.  They then swap lists with or sell numbers to other telemarketers.  Think about that National Do Not Call Register List.   Our company was happy to pay the small fines we would get on a regular basis.  It was like a monthly bill we would pay to the FCC.  The Feds have no interest in shutting anybody down when they can generate income.  The NDND list was conceived of and started as a money making enterprise.  They certainly aren't going to stop that money flow.  Thousands of fines daily.  Small enough so they don't hurt the telemarketers but big enough to generate a huge sum of money on a daioly basis.  Would you take the money or shut them down?  It's not going to change so you'd better find a way to put them into memory and block them.
