I'm being harassed by this phone number as well. I'd like to get off their list, but don't know how.

These people do not have a list to remove you from. They are using sequential dialers that dial one number after another. They could block your number, but that would require work and these crooks are too lazy for that.
These dirtbags should be put out of business. I have filed complaints with the FTC and the FCC. They are violating the law and profiting from it. Direct TV and Dish Network should be penalized as well, because they are funding the operation by accepting new business from them. Three years ago, Direct TV paid a $5 million fine because one of their marketing firms was violating the do not call list. I hope the same thing happens to these people.
As noted above, they are violating several statutes by:
1. Using a sequential dialer to call cell phones.
2. Their message does not include their phone number or business name.
3. They continue to call people even when asked not to.
I hope they all end up in jail, or at least, paying large fines.

This is a telemarketing SCAM for several phishing reasons: Reduced Interest Rate Credit Cards, SAT (Dish Network) TV and Extended Auto Warranty. They call from both coasts on numbers that are bogus. Some even show as local numbers from just plain folks who have no idea their numbers are being used by telemarketers. Be advised that even if you are on the National Do Not Call Registry, your number could be removed, without you knowing it, if you change features on your phone, if it gets temporarily disconnected, etc. You need to verify that your number is still on the list every now and then, especially since it takes 31 days to "appear" or "activate" Dish Network has an escalation specialist in Colorado Springs who says, if you receive ANY calls after the 31 day period, call them and they can set you up in their "Sting Program" which provides you with faux information to present to the company as if you are going to order the service, and then they can trace who they are and press charges.
I feel your pain comrades. This is a situation that has caused great frustration to me since they also call on my business lines and I am a florist who receives long distance calls for flower orders and must answer those calls. The list of "Bogus" numbers is so large, I simply can't try to look it up before answering while the phone rings and rings. It looks bad for business.
Be brave my friends.

I called Lucre and they are attempting to handle for me. Thanks for the number Chris. If it keeps up I will call the disk network and complain. Somehow they got a hold of my direct work line and I am very tired of the interruptions and getting hung up on when I request to be taken off the list.

I am also being bothered by this service. I waitied on the line just now to talk with a representative and was disconnected. I do not have caller ID so I used *69 to get the phone number. I called back and got a recording to leave a voicemail to be taken off the list....After reading your responses above, I don't think my call is going to be of importance....*sigh*

This Mike or whoever his is, I'm really tired of the calls! I get 2 calls some days, and the idiot doesn't realize I already have the service he is calling about. I'm filling a complaint with the Federal Communications Commission Consumer & Governmental Affairs Bureau Consumer Inquiries and Complaints Division 445 12th Street, SW Washington, DC 20554

I have received numerous calls from this number. At least once or twice every day. Finally I decided to wait on the line and speak to a representative by the name of Mike so I could ask to be taken off the list. He listened to what I had to say and the so rudely hung up on me. They called the next day...waited on the line again until a rep came on. When they came on I asked who I was speaking with, and sure enough it was Mike again. I told him how I spoke with him and he hung up after me requesting my number to be taken off the list and he said he would do it...a few seconds later and automated thing came on saying my number had been removed...but I STILL keep getting these calls and I'm sick of it.

These people called and I pressed "1" on their automated system. They answered and I proceded to tell them "Please erase my phone number." Before I could finish saying "phone" the stupid lady hung up on me. I will not being doing service with these people!

Waited to speak with a Rep. and kindly asked not to be called again; was promptly hung up on. Go get a real job and stop taking your crappy life out on people who earn an honest living!

Luckily I wasn't home when they called me TWICE
| Ahroun 2011-06-06 20:52:52 Unknown |
Called regarding Digital Satellite. An automated system started telling me I was the sixth caller in line and slowly counted down. Waited over two minutes to speak to some one as a result -- only to get disconnected right as I got told I would be connected with a representative.

I suggest that you start blocking calls from 616 980 2591 and the Telemarketer known as "Liberty Management, Inc". As an exchange carrier for this Telemarketing company that is violating U.S. FTC rules, you do have some legal responsibility (see A). Especially if you continue to provide services to this Telemarketer after receiving complaints from the general public.
This "unknown" Telemarketing company (Liberty Management, Inc) is clearly well known by Lucre Inc. even though this company changes their names and aliases frequently. One might also believe that Lucre is aiding and abetting this company (possibly with financial gain) by not responding to consumers complaint calls to abide by FTC rules (see B).
A. "(b) Assisting and facilitating. It is a deceptive telemarketing act or practice and a violation of this Rule for a person to provide substantial assistance or support to any seller or telemarketer when that person knows or consciously avoids knowing that the seller or telemarketer is engaged in any act or practice that violates §§ 310.3(a), (c) or (d), or § 310.4 of this Rule." FTC TSR http://www.ftc.gov
B. VIOLATIONS BY LIBERTY MANAGEMENT INC. "1. The telemarketer leaves a message, but fails to leave a phone number that you can call to sign up for their company specific do-not-call list;
2. You receive a telemarketing call from an organization whom you have previously requested not call you;
3. The telemarketing firm fails to identify itself;
4. You receive a pre-recorded commercial message from someone with whom you do not have an established business relationship and to whom you haven?t given permission to call you. (Most pre-recorded commercial messages are unlawful, even if no do-not-call request has been made)."
