We have been getting annoying calls from a Mr. Anthony White from 619-938-2145   He won't be specific but wants immediate money be sent to him!! He won't tell me what exactly or where the so called debt is from.. Calling  the Better Business Board!!!

I just got two calls from A   Anthony white stating he is from barrett and associates where a message was left for me to contact or have my attorney contact them today. very strange.

I just received the exact same message as described!  I knew that I didn't know anyone that he was calling about- saying I'm named as a person in the case of an Amy Clark.  I know no one by this name.  After coming across this information here I will not be calling him at all!

Got a call this morning from a Guy name Robert saying that i need to contact him today. He says he is from the law office of Barrett & Associates. These people are scammers & i will be reporting them. They call from all different #'s but all the same people. Be careful who you give out your information to.

I get calls from this guy every few days. I don't answer any number I do not recognize. I just hit the reject button. I did not recognize this number. He left a message. Message said he was given this number as he was trying to get a hold of one of my relatives. I assumed it was for the PHEEA loan someone in my family has. I have gotten calls in the past. Those could of been scams too. But I just installed this totally awsome app on my phone. It is called: total blocker. You can add numbers to it from your call log. Even the calls that are from "unknown" or "private". Funny thing is when you add them in this program the number shows up. I got another call today from this number. Only it did not show on phone like it normally does. This total blocker programs pops up and it says: Barrett & Associates. Then has an [accept] button and a [reject] button. This is one app I am definately keeping.

Calling my relattves ,  mr. Smith of  Barret  and Associates , stated he is FBI and is trying to locate me  Someone needs to put a stop to these jerks, they can reckyour life!

Got a call from Ramon Garcia. They have called me and a "relative".  Think they research names on facebook and then look for listed numbers of relatives and connections.  I found them on facebook

I have been getting calls and calls about they going to have me lock up for yrs.And they was going to have charges brought out on me. Now they calling my family members. They have a new number 619-938-2145. They said i have a unpaid payday loan. Which i did have one and piad it off 5 yrs ago. They tell me the samething every phone call. I told them to file charges and do what ever they need to do i wasnt going to send them any money. And one time a lady cuss me out and hung up on me when I told her.LOL. they are just a scam!!!!

A guy by the name of Ramon Garcia called me from Barrett and associates and said I took a loan out from the same place as you did and I have never taken a payday loan out,total scam

I received a call 2 weeks ago from Jim Ross with Barrett & Associates (619-334-9420) about a loan that I took out with Impact Payment Solutions.  I told him that I needed time to look up the paperwork because I paid the account off with Vandenberg Chase & Associates back in 2011.  I found the paperwork and after faxing the information twice and emailing it Mr. Steve Davis with Barrett & Associates he informs me that the information I provided him was for another account with Impact that was taken out the same time.  I only took out one loan with them.  I requested that Mr. Davis send me proof of the loan, so we will see. Also they called me at my home and I never used my home number to apply for loans.  I only used my cell phone number. This sounds fishy to me. Also they have never stated that this was an attempt to collect a debt statement.  

Robert smith is harassing my family and leaving threats on voicemail.  I see several others have reported him.  619 938 2151

I have received calls from both of these gentlemen.  I doubt very seriously they are lawyers, but may work for an attorney's office.  They are collection professionals who will use any scare tactic available to get money (which makes them look good).  They cannot arrest you over a bad debt.  They can arrest you if you physically wrote a check somewhere and it's bad.  If you did an online payday loan, my attorney said THEY CANNOT ARREST YOU, but they can file civil charges against you which means you have to appear in court, agree on payback amount and pay court fees.  I have filed bankruptcy and if they call me again I will give them the information, if they call me after that, I will give my attorney their information...  Also, they can't force someone's mother to pay on their child's account and furthermore, it's against the law for them to discuss your account with anyone other than you.  (PRIVACY LAWS)

Look up 619-258-0817. Mr. White / Day has been running scams as an employee of Barrett & Associates for years! Do not fall for his threats and do not send money!

Anthony White from Barrett and Associates is now using  a new phone number which is 619-938-2145. Mr. "White" left a message on my home phone that said he works in the legal department of Barrett & Associates and needs to speak to me about an investigation. I returned the call but he did not answer and then I found this info online so I will not be speaking with him.

Robert Smith called me and my job, he has my ss# and all how does this happen. Please help me find out what is goin on

I got a message also from Barrett and associates a guy named Robert Smith from a number 619 938 2151, stating about an investigation about my brother. I did a little research and found out that there is a lot of people getting the same message, so i am guessing this is a scam to get personal information from me and will be used illegally.

By Law they are not even suppose to call others with your permission to discuss anything about you. This people are one hot mess.

I have received a call from this office I told them and even sent them a letter that this account was paid in full and they tell me they can not locate the company I guess not because they are a scam just like they are. I will not give anymore money up until I get some really papers from the court system.

There is an individual by the name of Juan Garcia calling - calling my family, neighbors and my job.  He is calling on a old debt.  Barrett & Associates knows that they cannot sue on this debt because the statute of limitations has run on it in our state.  I have asked him to put everything in writing which he responded rudely and said that they had and I refused to accept the correspondence.  This is not true.  I never received anything from their company or I would have responded promptly. Barrett & Associates along with their so called employee Juan Garcia is being reported as we speak to the BBB and the FTC as well as the Attorney General's office for my state.

I just reported them to the BBB. I will be reporting them to FTC if they do not stop harrassing me. They called me with a fake court date and fake court case number. They try to appear like a law office, they are not. They try to threaten with a lawsuit, don't fall for it. When I told them that I confirmed with the San Diego Superior Court that there is no such court date or case number, they turned around and said there is no court date and they never said such a thing. Then they try and get information from me. When I asked for proof of this old debt, he refused. So I reported them to BBB, and if they don't stop, I will take further legal action.

I had a call yesterday from this number and they were trying to locate a Bonnie Richards. I attemped to email Bonnie Richards for this person, but it was returned as no longer her email, evedently....I called today and told the office of this no and I will not put up with no more calls for a Bonnie Richards...I am on a no calling list, and this is the end of my trying to help them! Please loose my number!

Humm... neither montel or becky like to capitalize the I's in the middle of their sentences. . . they typing style of both is creepily familiar.

This guy has a new number 877-287-4435. He called my grand mother, I dont even have her number. So i have no idea how he got it. He also has a new name Curt so and so. Didnt get the last name but its good ole Mr. Day.

They can't and won't sue you. They are using this as a place to scam people

Well people, there is a new twist to this story! Now a woman is calling using the name of Ms. Evans. Do not fall prey to these people!  Someone from their "company" called my house using all of the same things I have read here.  My story is much the same.  He called and left a message stating that he needed to speak to my roommate about an investigation regarding me of people.  The problem is that I have not gone by that name since the late 90's!!!!  I am taking this one step further. I am reporting them finally to the FBI White Collar Crime Division.  Enough is Enough!!

This company is a complete sham!  Be Careful! Do not release any information to them. They are trying to collect on "old Paper", meaning that the debt in question is over the statute of limitations!!!
Remember..NO ONE HAS THE RIGHT to harrass you.  It is against the law!!  I have reported them to the Attorney General in California as well as Missouri.  I will also be contacting the BBB & FTC as well.
My last and final "Bird" to these clowns is....The FBI white collar crime division!  They eat this for breakfast.  They call and use aliases such as Mr. Day or Ms. Evans.  Sometimes you might even get a Mr. White.  It is always a good policy to ask for any and all information concerning the debt in question such as: a copy of the statement or bill from the assigning company.  Also make sure you ask them to send you something in writing from THEIR company as well!!  THEY WILL NEVER SEND IT!!  That is your clue to take some kind of affirmitive action against these yucksters.

Wow.... Can't believe I fell for this scam. To think I've been actually sending this guy money.
