got a call again i am reporting them it stopped for two months tired of it !!!

they called me today from this number.  when i called back and demanded to know what law firm and what attorney were handling the case, they were very reluctant to provide information.  they eventually told me "anthony edward", and that the firm of baker & mckenzie (a very real, large, and powerful law firm) at the address and zip 119-66 177th street/11434 were handling the case.  a search of their website reveals NO "anthony edward" listed as attorney in their nyc office and, needless to say, they do NOT have an office at this address.  planning on reporting them to baker & mckenzie >:(

They kep[t calling me telling me that I'm going to lose my job and that I was goign to go to jail. The name they uised was FErnando Torres from bakers law firm. They keep harrassing me and Threatening me. Dont listen to them!!! Jus keep in mind that name i said, Fernando Torres from Bakers Law Firm

Seriously.   I insulted every single thing about them, yelled at them, cursed them, I said the most vile and disgusting things to them---they hung up.    I called back, and just kept berating them over and over, laughing at them, telling them to "speak English!"---they got frustrated, hung up again.   I tried calling back again, they didn't answer and I never heard from them again.

Don't be afraid to get aggressive with them.   DO NOT BE SCARED OF THEIR THREATS!!

This company uses differant numbers and great accents says its "mark smith" and "bakers law firm"

I told them to bend over and shove the phone up their butt after telling them not to call me ..... They got real upset too .... They also use a wierd voice changing male /female device asking me in the woman's voice " are you married?...... why not ?"
I told them to Eff off.

I just received a call from this number as well.  He said his name is Mark Taylor (I do not think so very indian)  As they hung up from my cell phone they called my office and luckly I am the receptionist.  Be careful they are using bad collection practices.

This is a criminal extortion ring operating out of India. ABC News released an investigative report on it in June. The FTC has indicted one of its ringleaders for criminal fraud:

Yeah, I've received a couple of calls from these people. The first call came a month or so ago.  They threatened to put me in jail (which is against the law) if I didn't pay the money right away.  The second call came just this weekend and that's when my husband discovered it was a scam!  In fact, while I was posting this, they called again!  I let them know I knew it was a scam and they hung up immediately.  I also called my phone company to report their number as a harassment number, so they won't be bothering me anymore.

Seems to be a new number for the deliquent pay day loan we're coming to arrest you scam.  Do NOT give them any information and do NOT give them any money - western union or prepaid card.  I've been getting calls from several different numbers over the last few months.  Any number I don't recognize I send to voicemail - eventually, they give up and then will probably call you from another phone number in a month or two.  They called on Thursday (the day I buried my father, mind you) and left the harassing "If we don't hear from you or your attorney of record, I wish you luck as the situation unfolds upon you" message with his foreign accent.  They've called a couple of times since - no message except for today, which was someone laughing as they talked and it was nonsense.  Yeah.  Keep trying to convince me you're legit.
