Boy did they really try to stick it to me.  Same MO, everything.  I was so hungry foy that $100 + I fell for it. Fortunately my God thumped me on the head 4 minutes later and I stopped payment on my card. Thank you Jesus. Their day will come!

I got the same call from Nicole too. Same story about trying samples and receiving a $100 gift and $50 restaurant gift card. I told the her that the phone she called was not my cell phone. (it belongs to my employer) She did acknowledge that she heard me but continued talking.( that's why I question if she was, indeed, a computer. I kind of think it actually could have been) If it was a computer it was a real good one. After the transfer to confirm my acceptance (which I never accepted) I told the lady that the number they called was NOT my cell phone then she hung up. I blocked the number. BTW, both voices sounded slightly Asian.

I got a call from that #....but did not talk to anyone....glad i did'nt...scam artist!

a young voice Nicole calls and gets my answer machine and thinks its a live voice and keeps talking. Pretty dumb if you ask me. She calls at least 4 times a week and weekends also.

I just got one of these calls about five minutes ago. They asked they same thing everyone has described. I put they call on mute while I googled the number and found this. The whole thing is a automated system. One sounds like a foreign person, the other just like a recording but they BOTH are automated. The system hung up cause I wouldn't answer the questions. If you don't answer the way they want it after a number of times, it will hang up. Careful everyone.

They just called and wanted my credit card info. Wouldn't stop asking for it so I hung up.

The same thing happened to me 5 minutes ago.

If you were not doing something else (shopping, in traffic, driving, or in a public spot). you could figure out that both the first person on phone and the one she transferred to next were computerized voices. it was hard to distinguish that the first caller was a computer call.
I guess the people who developed these automated systems are using us as Guinea pigs to know if there system works fine and they would probably sell it to companies and make some money. Dont think there is any reward, its just a carrot to keep you moving through the survey and see how effective are the automated systems in dealing with real people.

I received a call from this number. I answered, said "hello?" and whoever it was hung up.

I just received a call from this number 10 minutes ago but I didn't know this number from National City, CA so I didn't answer it. After reading the post I am glad I didn't.  Just a rule of thumb for me if I don't know the number or if it says private I don't answer it. Maybe a good habit?

I get a call almost weekly from these b*****ds. Never answer it. Though I might next time for the opportunity to tell em to p****off.

I got a call from 619-900-1642 when I wasn't home but they left no msg.  I'm only reporting it since it seems others have felt the need to also and based on the posts that indicate a scammer.

This number called me and when I called it back only minutes later to see who it was I got a recordin saying the number is no longer in service.

This number called me but i refused to answer. It came from National City CA. They left a brief message. I deleted it.

a younger lady spoke into my answering machine..."sorry, I can't hear you" and hung up  I figured it was some kind of telemarketing call!  

I just recently receive this call from these number. I honestly don't know what the heck they are into but I hanged up after searching for this info

Got the call from 619-900-1642 (California) on yesterday, Monday, January 20 at 11:01 am. I got the same story about getting $100 gift card and $50 restaurant card. I was busy at the time so I put the phone to my ear holding it with my shoulder and that makes the phone kind of muffled. Then the girl says, "Hello, Hello". I say, "I'm here" and she says that they were having problems with their system and that they would call back. Never got that call.  Bothered me all night, so I looked the number up on the computer and see that I am not the only one. The girl said that her name is Nichole and that her customer service number is 258. Asked the company name and couldn't understand her.

The caller claimed I had won $100 gift card (good on 1,000's of online items) and a $50 dining card (good at over 18,000 restaurants around the country) for downloading an app, but they wouldn't tell me which one.... Then, I was transferred to someone to "verify" my shipping information. Translation: please give us your credit card information to pay for the shipping on the cards you won!  PLEASE DO NOT GIVE ANY PERSONAL INFORMATION TO THESE PEOPLE!!!

my 11 year old just received a call from this number. He immediately gave the phone to me. It was an automated call saying that we have gotten a $100 gift card and a $50 card to a restaurant. It said that the only reason we were getting this call was from a survey that we filled out giving a good rating after an app that was downloaded from this number. this number cannot download apps and none of us have done a survey. Was told the recorded name was Nicole, an id number was given but I did not get it down on time. She said she needed to verify where to send the gift cards and that she was transferring me to a different department, then nothing. No questions and was not transferred to anything. Do not give them any information.

Tried to "give" me 100 bucks by some scam that I won by downloading an app...I do not even own a phone to download apps so...no.

I received the call as well. Fruad written all over it. Ignore them please.

They try to sound legit saying a customer care employee number "258" and that the call may be monitored and recorded to ensure quality assurance. hahaha please don't fall for this anyone
