The DNC list is not effective against criminals, spammers, scammers, political callers, survey organizations, or charities.  It is not meant to block calls from those parties.  Its purpose is to stop calls from legitimate telemarketers, and does a pretty good job at that.

Call came in at 8:47 pm. I too am on the DNC list but I continue to receive calls constantly. I didn't answer because I didn't recognize the number and no message was left. Call registers on caller I.d as being from Coronado CA

same old, same old... dead air

I was billed for placing a call to this number when I was even in the country at the time. I have reported this to Bell Canada for investigation.

Caller said she was from some brokerage company willing to sell my time share and if not sold in 10 months would have in the contract that it would be purchased for market value by her company.  She called me by a name and said the Hilton time shares sell fast.  I just needed to pay a small fee to start the process and to find out market value.  I went along with the caller and said I was already talking with 2 other companies about selling it.  For the record, I was not who she thought nor do I own a time share.  Didn't get any other info, she ended the call.  I have received calls from that number before but never answered in the past.

Spoof Call by Time Share Reality caller gave phone number of 1-877-917-9072.  Will report this to the FCC expalined to the CSR that Caller ID spoofing is illegal under Texas and Federal Laws.  Will report to the AG's office.  I DON'T OWN ANY TIMESHARES, but company continues to call me.

We didn't answer because I was right at the computer and pulled up their number and read what other people had written.

got the call last night at 07:22 PM. Did not answer, no msg left on the answering machine.

This call came in at 7pm tonight.  I didn't recognize the number, so I did not answer.  I am on the do not call list, so I think this may be a scam of some sort.

BUT BE AWARE THAT SCAMMERS MAY IMPERSONATE LEGITIMATE PHONE NUMBERS.
I do not have a proof that it was Tech Support Direct. it was a scammer's call,
but even though the phone number showed (619) 996-1710,
it could be someone else spoofing their phone number - that i don't know if it was really them or not.

Didn't answer when rang, showed as voice message recorded but when checked dead air space, no recording.  When will these d--kh--ds give up?  Too much available on the net today; certainly makes me wonder how they make money when legit businesses struggle as we refuse to answer unknown calls & hope if legit they do leave a message that spawn a productive economy.

DNC DOES NOT WORK, NOR BLOCKING ANONYMOUS CALLS AS THEY CHANGE THEIR NUMBERS DAILY, WEEKLY, OR WHAT EVER!; TAKE THE PHONE COMPANIES DOWN THAT ALLOW THEIR USEAGE!  PLEASE!!!

Received a call from 619 996 1710; since my number is on the FTC's Do Not Call List, I pressed "1" to speak with someone. Told her my number was on the DNC list and asked to be removed from their phone list in accordance with law. She was very rude, told me I should have pushed option "2" but I told her I wanted to speak to a live number to inform regulation violation. She said she didn't call me, nor did her company but I told her that I wanted her to put me on DNC list since I was responding per the instructions to speak with someone from her phone number and I didn't want to be called again.  She hung up on me. Will also file a complaint with the FTC.
