I googled the this number as I do not answer numbers I dont know.  IM SO thankful for this site, I saw what was being said, and I immediately went to my online banking.  I saw Safeway charged me 9 times 53.56.  Called this number back and they said they were working on refunding me.  I didnt wait, I called my bank and they have already credited me back the 428.48.

ive been shopping at the 'hood safeway for years. first name basis with most of the employees. lost my debit card one day and wrote a check, which cleared. They've been calling me ever since claiming it bounced; problem is, theres either no one on the other end of these automated calls, or the person is a complete automoton him/herself. The manager at the store even gave up. finally put the number on my blacklist- such a shame.

receive daily calls from this number.  Blocked calls and still keep calling.  No  business via Safeway, Reported do not call and still continue to receive daily calls.

It could be one of their other stores that they own.  I wrote a check at Dominick's in Illinois and judging by the other posts I am guessing that they want something however when I answer the phone they hang up on me!

These people have been calling me five or six times a day for months.  They had to submit a check I wrote twice, but it cleared the second time.  They sent me a letter saying I had to pay them $30.  I signed it saying they could take it out of my account, but they haven't yet, and still keep calling.  I have answered the phone and explained the situation to them, and they are STILL calling.  I have answered the phone and told them to stop calling, and they are STILL calling.  They call at seven in the morning, they call at nine at night.  I told them they can have their thirty dollars, I signed their paper, and they will not leave me alone.  I will never ever shop at a Safeway again.

If Safeway wants their money so bad, why don't they leave a message!?!

This number has been calling 4 to 5 times a day for the past month.  When I do answer there is nobody on the line, and they never leave messages.

Someone has stolen my identity and written fraudulent checks to Safeway. I wrote Safeway a letter and included a  notarized fraud affidavit, but then Safeway called me 9 days in a row without leaving a message.  It sounds like harassment.

This number calls 2 or 3 times a day.  I don't answer calls if I don't know who it is.  It looks like they'd get tired of calling.

This is the Safeway customer contact center in AZ. They called me in reference to a suggestion card I mailed in.  They were thanking me for my compliment of the BattleGround, WA Safeway pharmacy.  BTW, I have been to many pharmacies.  Safeway Battleground pharmacy ROCKS!

They are from SafeWay, and th ey called me about a bounce check that I wrote to them a month ago. The lady was very nice and worked with me. Once I made a payment to them, the calls stopped.

I wrote out a check at Safeway and the first time that it was deposited, it did not go through.  Then Safeway resubmitted the check to my bank and it cleared.  Then they sent me a letter stating that my check did clear the bank but I was being charged a $30.00 return check charge.  They called my phone about 6 times and left no message.  That does not seem very professional to me.  They then send another letter stating that the fee had gone up to $60.00 and that this was the final warning that I need to pay the fee.  The check was cleared by my bank and I have been shopping at Safeway for years!  I don't understand how the fee could jump $30.00 within two weeks of receiving the first letter.  The check was for $20.00................What kind of collection is this?

It is customer service center for Safeway. It's perfectly fine to receive calls from this number. They called me to give me the balance of my vacation hours. It is legitiment.

It is a collections department for Safeway Supermarkets.
