They called me twice on my cell phone and left a message saying that the warranty on my car expired, blah blah blah... and press number #1 to do be removed from their list. I did not call them back, I knew it's a scam. I've been getting more and more calls from different numbers recently.

They have called me twice. My cell phone is a non-listed work phone. When I called back (with my caller id blocked) all it said was to hit 2 to be taken off the list. I've been told not to do it because it confirms to the company your phone number is valid. I think it best to just ignore.

Auto warrenty sales call

I got call for 6-8 times now. Every time I picked up no one said anything for about a minute. The number is assigned in Pasadena California and they asked to renew warranty on my vehicle (I don't even have one!).

A colleague and I both got calls from this number on Feb 5, about an hour apart. Our numbers are not even sequentially close. We both have 416 area code numbers on the same Rogers corporate plan.  

I answered the call and it was a robo-call message talking about vehicle warranty.

Also got a call today from 416-000-3179 which is also listed on this site as a vehicle warranty scam.

I reside in Alberta. I constantly get calls from these numbers:

I googled all of these numbers and every one of them has the same "do not answer" web page. I am guessing these numbers originate from same phone provider (possibly same company/person).
No messages are ever left and I have yet to answer one call.

1-626-207-9174 / 1-702-520-9121  /  1-909-650-9175  I'm so glad, I blocked my cell (Rogers) phone from answering as soon as I open the flap, so I have the leisure pleasure of not answering these annoying phone calls.

I get calls from this number from Pasadena, CA and from another similar number from Sacramento, California.  Hmmm, never had this problem before I put my name on the national "Do Not Call List".  I have never given out my cell phone to any company, so it has to be from this list.  I never answer unknown numbers or long distance numbers on my cell unless I have a family member who is travelling.  I didn't know, until this, who was calling me since it just flashes California on my display and no voice mails are every left.

Ontario cell unlisted called my number I get bill LD . Thanks anyway don't have car warranty since used car had rolled back OD or OD uncalibrated I supposedly drive 85Km per year while working in town!

Keep receiving calls from this number on my cell phone. After reading this site, I do not answer any calls from numbers that I don't recognize.

They just called me on my cell phone (Feb 5/09)...thought the area code looked funny.

I nissed a call from this numbner. I'm not on any lists and I don't usually receive telemarketing calls. I thought it was a weird area code though so I googled the number. THanks for the warning, this is a good site!

Seems that we've been punked. I have recently been bombarded by American callers ever since I responded to an anonymous job listing on Toronto's Craigslist. Aside from friends and family, the only people who could have access to my cell number is the one or two times I recently responded to an anonymous Craigslist job posting (btw, I only check Finance or Office jobs section from identified employers. I got desperate enough to try anonymous postings for the first time in January, 2009). I have been quite vigilent with keeping my cell number private (pay as you go, so I have to pay long distance charges). Anyway, if you're in the same boat as me, then you probably got calls from 909-650-9150, 702-520-9121, 949-256-9181, and 909-842-9107. These 5 numbers called me since January 27th, 2009. Other posters have mentioned (on these numbers) that it was about some sort of car waranty b***s*** (I don't even have a driver's license!). Due to the inordinate number of Canadian posters, there must be something about Craigslist (which I do love by the way), or other free posting services, so just be careful who gets your resume or your phone number, or your addresse, for that matter.

They've called my cell phone several times.  I never answer as I don't recognize the number and no one has my number except family and friends.  So how are they getting it?  They have never left a message.  Maybe if we all started calling their number (collect of course!) they would stop.

Call from this number to my cellphone - only a few people have that number and they are all accounted for ...

They claim that this is 2nd notice of expiration of my automobile warranty.   Automated voice, non-descript female.  Hung up after about 5 seconds of the notice as my car is still under warranty and they wouldn't know that.

rec'd a call on my cell phone on 626-207-9174 - didn't pick up...was busy, reading this site, i'm glad i didn't thanks!

--- Hey, everybody that had this 310,626,717 area codes call on any of their lines, this could be the work of some moron to on your phone bill and call some one in other countries, and your the one to flip the bill so to speek,  i found out these perticular numbers belongs to:  Digitcom Services, Inc.  in  Pasadena, CA they also could be using a ghost line to jump on your line to make these calls, i'm still trying to locate the exact point of the caller, or even an e-mail conected to this number or adress, when i do it will be very swift and damaging for the poor basterds at the other end...

I had a call, didn't answer it.  Only 2 people in the whole world have my cell number - my kids.  How did these people get my number?

I'm in Toronto and I got two of these calls but from different numbers in Cali. The first call I got on my work Blackberry from 818-870-9190 and I asked the 'agent' how they got the number and her reply was "we have our sources". The second time it was from 626-207-9174 on my work cell and I had just missed the call so it went to vm but it was the same deal..'checking the warrantee on your vehicle.. blah, blah, blah.

I am in ontario and 2 cell phones and i keep getting a call from this number. I dont have this problem with my other cell.. i am the paranoid type, so was just concerned. But i never pick up numbers i dont recognize or has no Name id on it...

I just missed a call from this number on my cell phone, and a month ago I received/also missed two from Vermont which I assumed was something much like this.
I am using Koodo and am on no registry.
I am also from Toronto area, Canada, Soni.
No VOIP internet calling or special features alike, though.

These calls just starting happening for me too. I pressed 1 to speak with a person and asked them to remove me from the list. Hopefully it works.

I have a Bell cell phone in Ontario and just got a call from this number.

I didn't answer - 'cause I was not familiar with the area code.

These telemarketers from California probably have random dialers - there is no list as per say to be removed from.

received two (2) calls from this number, answered the last one. same thing, about 30 seconds of silence then someone said they needed to "axe me" a few questions. As I was driving on very icy roads, I literally growled at the person who then very hurriedly stated my number would be added to the company's do not call list and hung up.

A lot of people said that they didn't post their cell phone numbers.
Does anyone have their cell numbers on their resumes, and have their resumes on Monster?  Because Monster has been hacked, it's possible that the numbers were sold from that.

Weird how all you guys got the same phone call withen the week. I missed the call because I was at work tonight, so I looked it up because I didn't recognize it. Funny...I don't even own a car...never have...I don't even have a lisence. If they call again and I pick up, I'm gonna tell them to get a real job. Who comes up with this stuff? Yeesh.
