I never answer calls I don't know and about 6 months ago I was getting slammed with these types of calls. Upward of 20 a day. So I added a call block feature on my line. HOWEVER, there was one time a message was left that I still have saved to this day. (I have to be honest, I get a chuckle out of the sheer ignorance of it). Here is the message, word for word, that was left for someone named Heather, (not me). The voice was one that sounded from India/Pakastan with broken English.

The issue at hand is extremely time sensitive. My name is Dustin Jones and my number is 626-239-3139. I repeat again my number is 626-239-3139. Don't disregard my message to return this call. Now Heather, if you don't return this call and I don't hear from you or your attorney either the only thing I can do is wish you good luck as the situation unfolds on you. So good bye and good luck. Bye bye.

Perhaps I should send this to the reporter over at ABC news?

This guy won't stop!!!!  I do not know how he gets his information but I have had enough.  He called my wife today telling her that I have been doing illegal activity with her name and number.  Someone can harass me without cause but don't get my family involved.  I want to take this guy (or group of people down), legally of course.  

If someone has made headway in tracking this company down will you please let me know?  I will join forces with anyone who can help me get this guy to stop.  I really don't want to have to change my phone number just because of one idiot.

I have the same guy who called me. Scarred the crap out of me when he said I was being summons for a loan from cashadvanceusa.com that didn't pay back. I didn't get any loan!! Yet he had my name, number, and email. He told me the sherrifff was on the way. I applied for a loan on this site once months ago but never got accepted. He didn't even tell me how much I owe. Here's the number 1-714-733-5614. He says he's Matt Cooper from a law firm or whatever. I'm 18 and have never been in trouble with the law!! But now I know thanks to all of you that this guy is just an idiot.

I received the same type of message. I can't understand half of what this guy's saying. I have received multiple phone calls at my work and an old cell phone I do not use anymore. He has been told repeatedly if he calls my job again that our lawyers will be taking care of this, yet he still continues to call and leave harrassing messages. He said in one of my voicemails that I better be ready to face the worst nightmare of my life, then told me to have a good day and God Bless. He has had at least 3 different names now when calling me, but I have all the messages recorded so if he wants to keep harrassing me my lawyer is going to contact the Attorney General. This is a scam, my lawyer said he almost guarantee's its a scam. I never got money from a cash advance place, these people are indian or something and I can't wait for them to get caught! First time he calls he says he's Steve Martin, Okay are you the actor???? LMAO, then another time he calls he says he's with the crime and investigation office at a police station. Such a JOKE!

Indian guy called me yesterday and left a nasty msg. I called back and told them someone left a nasty msg and i would like to know who was. All he said was sorry it was probably one of my lawyers. He then asked for my lawyers info and I said for what and he got really aggressive and said I have a law suit pending against me for a loan I didnt pay back.....I never secured/accepted a loan and he started yelling at me saying the sheriffs will come arrested me at my job the following day. I called the sheriff dept.  They said it was a scam/fruad. My employer called them back and it said voicemail full. I called back and same thing. My employer called again and placed him on speaker phone. He gave us no info on who he was and who he worked for. I asked why I didnt have documents on this matter and he said cuz its online. I told him I called the sheriffs dept. And sheriffs said threats were falsely. He then said well the online police/detective will be there at my job to arrest me and theres nothing I can do about it. crazyness!My employer asked him to send verification about "the 300 dollar loan wired to my payroll into my account", he said he would send it the following day but it would be "to late" because ill be arrested by then. I hung up and called my idenity theft protection through my prepaid legal because he had my ssn and place of employment and all my info.they said yes it is a scam/fraud and to be very blunt to them next time that I know what's really going and and that they have been reported. You can also let them know you will contact various consumer protection and law enforment agencies and that they better stop harrassing you. If it was legit leagally you would receive documents about the matter and you wouldn't be yelled at or have threats made to you in that matter, according to the fair debt collection practices act! (FDCPA) my bank account was closed and a new one opened a week ago and I'm glad. Because no doubt they could have tried taking my money or something. When I tried to save their number in my andriod, it kept trying to save as 813-956-9973. Not sure if my phone is messing up or if that's their real number but I'm going to goole that number next to see!

This is exactly what happened to me.  I actually went down to the sherriff's department today after I got the call.  I had tried to call back several times and got the mailbox full message.  I then finally called again and they answered "Hello?"  I told them they had contacted me earlier in the day and they said, "Yes?"  I then proceeded to tell them that I did go to the sherriff's department and I needed to get their mailling address, supervisor's name, and verify that was the contact number.  He hung up on me.  He also had  very thick Indian accent and gave me a different name, not Matthew Cooper.  I also sent an e-mail to Cash Advance USA and have not yet received any response from them.  I have to admit that the call scared me (never even had a ticket of any kind in my life), but I simply went right away to the sherriff's department and verified it every way I knew how and then tried to re-contact them.  They hung up on me the first time and were unable to verify any information for me.  When they hung up on me again when I asked for information, I figured something was definitely wrong.  I still think, though, just to be safe that I will be changing my bank accounts, etc., but they even called my place of employment, which I think upset me the most.

Received a call from 626-239-3139 from Matthew Cooper on cell phone 7/07 and work voicemail 7/12.  Strong Indian accent come on your name is not Mattew Cooper.  Wouldn't give me the name of his company however did tell me I received a direct deposit from Cash Advance USA to my checking account. Told me the list of charges I was facing and the police will be here to arrest me tomorrow haha.  I told him I didn't apply for or receive a deposit from this company and he hung up on me.  All I can do is laugh right now.  Scammer!!!!!  I called back got voicemail is full.  Called back again to find out when this deposit took place and he told me I guess you didn't get a deposit then and hung up on me again.  I have since googled and sent an email to the Cash Advance USA website.  The site has an important notice listed on the site stating if you receive a call on our behalf it is a scam.  Hopefully, Cash Advance USA will respond to my email with some information on the company that is scamming so I can report to the Attorney Generals office in my state and the BBB.  Good luck to everyone dealing with this crap.  If a get the name of the SCAMMERS I will repost.

I just received a call from this number who asked me for my attorney's name.  When I told him I did not have an attorney, he asked if I was aware of the lawsuit pending against me.  Now normally I would have thought this was a joke, but they actually called my employer first.  So, I was a little freaked out.  He went on to tell me all this stuff (which I was just in shock about -- no loan from this company), gave me all of my information, work information, e-mail, bank account, social security number, etc., and told me tomorrow that the sherriff's department in Illinois would be out to arrest me.  I asked him if he would please make sure our conversation was being recorded.  I informed him I had no knowledge what he was talking about and asked him to give me the supposed date of deposit for money, etc., and he had no information for me.  I am on my way to the police department right now.  When I called back, the number said mailbox was full.

they are telling me that I got a cash loan and they are going to take me to court. But they will not give me any information and they are saying that they are coming to my work to pick me up. I did not get any money from these people and when  I  ask for proof and information about the company they hung up on me, then tried calling back and they hung up on me again.

Why is this call coming to my phone with no nature of call. This message was threating and woke me up before 8:00 a.m. on a Saturday morning. Returned call to numb er no answer. VM full. Sent a "DO NOT CALL" text to number.

Received the same call from this number today,  Name of person Matthew Cooper which could also be false. Called before 8:00 a.m. EST and that is illegal in the state of GA.

This same guy called my husband today and said that he was being sued for not paying on a car loan and my husband informed him we did not have a car loan and he said no I mean a payday loan . And my husband said no we don't have a pay day loan and the man said whatever . he said you can tell the state police in the morning when the come to arrest you .This guy really has to much time on his hands and is trying to take advantage of people . So then after he wouldn't tell my husband nothing I called back and acted like I was looking to hire a lawyer and I ask where his office was located and he said I can't give out any info and then i ask what kind of cases they handle he then told me that he couln't tell me that kinda info and of course he was getting really rude at this point . I then  told him if he was an attorney that he would need to find new customers and that he couldn't be rude to them or he would'nt get any business and then he said this is not a call center where you can get information and don't call me back !! So what do you think ? I think is totally a Scam and yeah by the way there office is Attorney Roger Dale this week :)

When I called this 239 3139 number I spoke to someone who used extremely foul and abusive language. When I called back the mail box was locked.

I got a harassing phone call from a man with an Indian accent saying I was going to jail for an unpaid pay day loan...I tried getting more information but the man just kept threatening me.

We received two calls from this number.  I called back speaking with an accent and basically they told me that I was under criminal investigation and to avoid legal action to make a payment of $550.00

I received a call this morning from a guy who called himself Charles Wood. He said he was calling from Federal Regulation Customer Department. He told me that I have a suit against me and he would not tell me where he was calling from and he told me to call 626-239-3139 to get the whole information from his supervisor on my case.

This sound phoney i told him. Here he calls me at work and tells me that he was not instructed to let me what my suite was for.

Don't let these dirt bags steal from us Americans.  Report their illegal action immediately and stay diligent in pursuing an outcome.

Every person getting harassed by these Indian dirt bags needs to do whatever it takes to help put an end to this thievery.

It is definitely a scam.  The Indian dude told me he makes 43K a day stealing from people.  Report Identity theft to your local PD, call the FBI, CIA, State Department and anyone else who will listen. These dirt bags need to go to jail.

I received a call from a Middle Eastern man , stating to call back 626-239-3139; He called my office and left a threathing message , I quickly wrote down the telephone number and researched the tel number for a possible scam . Well this guy called my job and I am a US Soldier and I will be contacting a federal agency to pursue the parties involved .

I got a call today at work. Some Indian Guy telling me I owed money to cash advance and the police would be at my work tomorrow to arrest me for bank fraud amoung other things. I didn't have a clue what he was talking about. Did some research and found out it's total scam. I have reported them to the FBI and the state.
