I too get calls from them they say they are the Legal Department of Cash Advance Group. I told them to prove to me that I owed them money.  they do have a lot of personal information and the last four numbers of my bank account.  They gave me an address that turns out to be for a city in California that is none existant the 626 area code is for Pasadena Ca they gave me Stockton City, Ca as thier address.  They get really hateful and told me not to call them back. but they called twice today I told Kevin Wilson that he was in volation of the FTC laws by not providing validation of the debt when I asked him for it in June.  I was threatened with court papers arrest and transporation to California to stand trail.  they are scammers.  do not give them any money make them prove to you that you owe anything.  Report them to www.ftc.gov and any other government agency you can up to and including the FBI

Yes, me too, I got the same phone call and last week he was Kevin Wilson, today he is David Wilson. Last week his number was 909-503-0868. This week his number is 626-239-9944. Same story, He tells me that I owe payday loans $411.00 and  I need to settle this matter or he wishes me the best of luck and to speed things up and to save me from haveing to go to jail I could give him my debit account number and he will debit my bank account in the annount of $411.00. I have nothing in wrighting from this person or payday loans.

I recieved a voicemail from them last week and returned the call and the conversation was hilarious. It hard to understand her with the very thick accent and talking very fast. Got upset when I kept asking to repeat so I can get the information straight because it did not sound right at all. Then when I called back she answered "hello"certainly not from an attorneys office in CA.

It's a scam, they through in the "legal Affairs" to try and scare you... be careful he disguises his voice with a heavy accent and then while he's using profanity accent gone.  It was quite funny.. just piss him off and see what happens LOL

This is definitely a SCAM. I called the number back and I threaten him with the police and FBI , he called me all kind of MF's and B@#ches. He said his name was Dan Foster and his was from Business and Legal Affairs.  I wish they were local... It's amazing how people get your information, call and harass you and then try to strong arm you by throwing in the "Legal Affairs". If you called me you should have all the info you need... LOW LIFE SCUM!!!

i had the same thimg happen to me today i was told by a lawyer to go to the cops and file a report he told me that they went to my job with the cop and i was going to get kidnap to another state so that i could apear in court cause i owed some company $300 and he gave his name as dan wilson

I spoke to a person named Kevin Wilson with a very heavy India accent.  He told me that there was a lawsuit filed in my name and that if I wanted he could "brief" me on the situation.  I told him that if there was a lawsuit filed against me that I have to  have something in writing.  He then said ok, hung up and then left 2 messages on my cell phone with the 626-239-3140 call back number.  He said if I didn't call him back or have my attorney of record call him immediately, he wished me luck.
This is most definately a scam, and should be stopped.  Threathening phone calls and messages are just wrong.

I called the back they left me the same message, I had an attorney that I know call back they freaked out and hung up the phone, they are a scam I called the back and told them to give me their address because I was going to file a law suit they hung up in my face on more than one occasion.

I keep receiving voicemails on my cell phone from this guy saying the same things! My bank account was hacked into by a "payday loan" company and they took money out! I dont know what to do!

I got the same call...threatening to sue me in court advising me they were sending all information to my employer, bank, home and could not even tell me who they were representing...they have all of my personal information and I would like to know how they received that information.

i told them that the police was notified and they should be very afraid! the fbi is looking for them too they hung up in my face! oh well

I got a call from this number along with 508-556-3727 They are both the same people I spoke with Mark, Rodger, Tom, Jennifer & Austin. They also said that i didn't pay back my loan that i never recieved. i don't even have a bank account to put a loan into a bank account. they say they are going to transfer you but they just put you on mute cause the man heard everything i said to my boyfriend while i was "on hold" He kept hanging up on me and calling back claiming i hung up on him. he claims he is sending the lawsuit information to my employer. I said okay and make sure you fax me a copy as well. then they hang up. One person I spoke with, "Tom" called me a bi*** because i said he was pissin me off because he kept saying he would transfer me and everything cause i wanted to know why he was calling and he kept saying don't yell i said im not BUT NOW I AM TRANSFER ME TO SOMEONE I CAN SPEAK TO NOW!!! and he then said "listen you little bi*** ..." i said what did you call me ? he said "A BI***" i said listen piece of s*** ... and then my boyfriend took my phone and he hung up when my boyfriend started cursing him out. I called back & they said they would take me off their list to call. (which they didn't cause they called the next day) & i think that if it was a real person they wouldn't tell me that they would do that. & a company trying to inform you about a lawsuit wouldn't be the ones taking a payment for a loan. This is a scam & i will do whatever it takes to find out who these people are. UGHHH!

Got a voice mail on my work phone from a guy with an extremely thick accent telling me to call him the second I got the message with my attorney and that if either me or my attorney didn't return the call he wished me the best of luck and said what ever happens to me is my fault! WTH! . He never said what it was regarding or what company he was from. I called the number in the message back and it starts with welcome and is blank for like a minute then says the mailbox is full.

I have had a PDL but it was automatically taken out of my account on the due date. This is a scam. I am worried about my personal info.

Over a week ago, I was checking my account online, one of these loan places deposited money into my account.. they said I applied on that Friday... Seriously! I did not apply for the payday loan... I have now had to open a new bank account...after they removed their $500 from my old.... Now, today I receive back to back phone calls with a fake phone number.  Heavy accented Robert Jackson... wishing me the best of luck in court because I owe money... telling me to not ignore this call...I'm going to jail...blah blah.. The number they wanted me to call back was 626-239-3140...wth? So I googled it. I am getting real irritated, thinking someone has all my info... Well good luck to them because I changed almost everything....

Got the same call for the past 3 weeks. "Robert Jackson" said he wishes me te best of luck if he did not hear back from my attorney. I kindly told "Mr. Jackson" to suck on a aids d**k roll over an ddie. This is a scam so I called the police and reported it.

This jerk of an a***ole called me with the same number 626-239-3140.  I picked up because I don't know why and he started treatening me with the same remarks most of you have posted...wishing me best of luck and that I better take care of it.  I literally laughed out loud and said "Look you little MotherF!@#$%!!!!  I have never EVER in my life borrowed money from no damn payday loan! And as a matter a fact I do have a lawyer, and I am going to report this number and our conversation have been recorded!!!! So, if you are trying to scam me for my SS#, you can jump off a bridge!  Because I am the wrong person to F!@# with!"  He hung up the phone!!!  And that was that it...I never heard from him again :)

I received the same call on my job Friday in which the guy with the heavy accent told me his name was robert thomas and that I needed a lawyer because I took out a payday loan in the amount of $450 and that I am now responsible for $8500 and I was being charged with 3 counts of check fraud and some other charges. He went on to spit out the last four digits of my ssn and my supposed bank account number and he kept trying to get me to verify the whole number which I wouldn't. So I asked him when was this so called money deposited and he stated on may 20 in which I didn't even have a account then so I knew then it was a scam but he proceeded to say I didn't need to prove it to him I needed to prove it to the judge. I kindly hung up called my bank just to put them on alert just in case whoever these people are don't try anything.

Had this guy saying he was a lawyer Troy Harris with this number had a hour to pay$302.11 or go to jail,went and close my checking account and reported it to the Danbury Ct.police dept. with all the information including a fax number.Hope they get them i am a senior on fixed income

Got the same phone call as the rest of u have but some guy with thick Indonesian accent keeps calling and threatening me to call them as soon as possible. Supposedly they are from a lawfirm and his name was "Scott Bryant" and the other attorney's name was "Troy Harris" called me from  320-051-685.. not even a real phone number in the US....but told me to call (626) 239- 3140..Told me i took out a $200 loan from Cash Advance online and that they were taking me to court they sent me a sopena for court and couldnt answer me when i asked when i took the loan out etc... they even knew my last four of my social security number and new address nobody else has..Has to be a big scam because no one has my new address except unemployment...Not even my family has my new address yet..

its the same stuff everyone else posted, however i was able to talk to someone once he said his name was mark, but i had to ask him several times before i understood him and then i asked him for his real name and he hung up on me.  if this was legitimate  he would have NEVER hung up.  they got some of your info when you applied for a pay day advance probably need just a little more info so they can scam you only thing to do is put the number in your call reject list

I got the same call didn't notice what the phone number was that they called from.. but the message told me to call 626-239-3140.. It's a scam because I also got a call from a 916-395-0000 and the exact same message was left by that person as well. Always thick accent.. can barely speak English and it's always the same.. I failed to pay back a payday loan.. I haven't gotten one.. but I know someone who did and they have your acct infor and deduct the money from your acct... so the loan would have been paid back, secondly if you did default on a legit payday loan, I think you would receive written correspondence in the mail first.... They want you to verify your email address, your social security number and if you ask them what you need to do to pay back this supposed loan -- they will give you some astronomical amt to pay back.. I think the first time I ever got one .,, I called them back.. they told me I defaulted on a 1250 payday loan and that I needed to pay them $45000. .... they told me the FBI was going to come and drag me away in cuffs and take me to court and throw me in jail.... It is all a scam... Probably if you put the number that they called from into a search engine you will get entry after entry of people talking about the scam calls ... The one number I put in last week brought up over 250 pages of people who got the same call... and they always seem to call from a number that is  no longer in serv ice. I will admit the first time it happened .. they scared the crap out of me...

i just got this call today as well on my cell and my work! same guy. called back 1st time, mailbox full, second time talked to some guy that had the last 4 of my social and said something about a payday loan. i hung up...wtf? thinking i should call the police....

I have gotten several of these calls today. All of mine have been from 'Jennifer'. Exact same message, call us as soon as you get this, or have your attorny call, if you dont i wish you best of luch as this escalates... blah blah... her accent is so think its hard to make out what she says, her english is all broken up... she can barely pronouce 'Jennifer', its like she is sounding it out... the # that called me wasn't a real # either  320-051-685.. said for me to call 626-239-3140...

I actually just talked to them because they called me back. They are claiming that there is legal action against me because of a payday loan that was never paid back. Well I never did anything like that so it seems to be a scam.
