called back - was instructed to enter my cell # followed by the "#" sign to be removed from the list.

they called my home twice already under the number was 1626 259-5500 AND 5502, Her name was "Jeanie" and she was nasty and I called her every name in the book and asked to speak to supervisor. Then I let her know that she was being recorded(which she was) and I would send it to a pvt. investagor/and my lawyers. Her demanor was very "I don't give a sh*t!" . I would suggest you also should report them and get whatever name they give you. anyhow, I  report the incident to:

Calling about "expiring car warranty" which actually expired close to two years ago.

got the call from 626 259 5502  automated about the car warrant...so annoying...where do they get your number from??

Keep getting calls from this number at work.  About a factory warranty on the car --- very annoying --- now I just see the called i.d. and don't answer.

Rec'd a call on my cell phone this morning.  Didn't leave a message.  My cell has been registered with DNC for 5 weeks now.

I've recieved several calls from this company- the last one just a few minutes ago. After waiting for a representative for a long time, she informed me the car warranty was going to expire soon and it is my last chance to extend it. She urged me to get another car warranty or to extend what you have(makes you think they are from your car company)then they press hard to get information from me about myself and the car. She said she was calling in behalf of the "National Auto Warranty Services". When asked how they got my number- she was very ellusive. She said that they were a third party company "associated" to the car company (in this case Mitsubishi.) I asked if they would send information via email but she said they wouldn't. Then they asked for my name and address. When I got difficult and asked them to identify or send information so I could research their company, she hung up on me. There are many complains filed against this company.

Just got a call on my direct line at work, which is the same number I have had for 17 years.  First, I have never done any business on Craigslist and I have not changed insurance policies in all this time either.  

They are getting some of the information from public records and mailing/phone lists that they buy and sell from other conartists. Also, sometimes the phone numbers they call are just by going down the line, ex:  555-1212, -1213, -1214, etc.  

If you wait to talk to someone and challenge them on the call, they hang up, but not only that, you've validated that it is a working number and they keep you on the list and sell it to the other scammers.  

If you have caller i.d and see these bogus calls come up on your caller i.d someone told me about not saying one word when you answer, if there is no live person at the other end saying "Hello?", then just start hitting the # sign on the phone repeatedly.  By not giving a voice to activate the recording, the # sign sends a signal to their computer stating the line may be inactive and it is removed from their phone calling databank.  It seems to be slowing down my calls.  I used to get up to 8 calls a day.  I might get one every other day now.  If that isn't what is slowing them down, at least I'm getting my frustration out by pounding on the phone some.

After the second call I asked to be removed from list.  I have received 3 since on the third I answered after being on hold I asked in a not so happy mood to be removed from list and was hung up on.

I want something done about this since it is my cell phone they are calling and it costs money to use.  Can anything be done for some retribution?

I think this is linked to our car insurance policies. I started getted these calls shortly after I changed insurance companies. I used to be with Esurance. They are the only people who have both my VIN# and work phone number on file.

the recording doesnt start until after I say "hello." it said press 1 to speak to a representative, I pressed 1 and another recording played. I didnt wait around for the end of this one.

I'm getting this stupid vehicle warranty call all the time from different numbers like everyone else.  I'm trying to narrow down the source and I think I have an idea (bad or good, don't know).  How many people here have called about an ad placed on Craigslist?  My thinking is that that's how this "company" may have gotten our numbers.  I say that because I have an unlisted cell number and the first time I made a call was to a Craigslist ad and it turned out the ad was bogus.  Ever since then, I've been getting these calls... daily.  Any thoughts?
