Thanks everyone for reporting it as spam here. I saw Cell Phone on the caller ID and thought it might be my crazy relative announcing an upcoming lawn tantrum. Relieved it's just spam. Thank you.

If you get these calls on your mobile select "Block".
OR
call forward to the ftc "do-not-call" 800 number.
OR
Forward to your landline then report the number/s at your convenience when you have from 3 to 5 numbers saved on your "CallerID" list.

fed up -  I have at&t and they do support nomorobo - I set it up and it catches most of the annoying calls.  The ones it doesn't
catch I add to "block" on the "my at&t" website.

I very much like your attack, even if usless, as the ATT # is also Robo and does no care. Better to write (NOT EMAIL) your congress and state reps. Maybe forward to THEM!.

Same tired old spammers with a new number.  You block one, they come right back with another one.  It never ends.  Aggravating morons.

There is a way to sign up for a FREE service called nomorobo to stop these annoying robocalls. My problem is that my landline carrier, AT&T, currently doesn't support Nomorobo because they need to add the Simultaneous Ringing rejection capabilities to their LANDLINE service. I called AT&T months ago, as the Nomorobo.com page suggested, to request they help stop spam calls with this, but after wasting my time jumping through all of AT&T's automated hoops to reach a real person to speak with, I found out they don't seem to care and have no solutions of their own that worked (yes, I even paid extra for one of their products that was supped to help, of course... it didn't!) I suspect phone companies profit from these calls, as others have suggested, so they have no incentive to stop them, and just let us, the receivers of these harassing calls, suffer - and in some unfortunate cases - get scammed.

SO, I decided to use AT&T's call forwarding service to make AT&T understand the problem a little better.  
After I get a spam call, I enter it into my "call forwarding list" (*63). The number I have dialed in for the call forwarding is: AT&T (Traditional Landline) Customer Service 1-800-288-2020 (I had to use the number "one" in my entry). This way AT&T, who refuses to help stop this problem, will get the next spam call from this number (if it's repeated) instead of me.
I'm hoping if they start to get the same number of spam calls I get - they'll decide it's worth stopping the problem.

I got a call stating they could connect me with local contractors. As soon as I said I was not interested, they hung up on me.

Spammer get them removed.

Not to worry.  It's just another scammy telemarketer.  Probably not a robodialer this time.  We answered this one by mistake and they "...have a crew in our area and they can come by our house and give us a bid on any remodeling or repair work we might need on our house".  Not likely.  The call came from north of L.A. and we live in San Diego.  The caller ID  said "626-315-7089 Cell Phone".

Received a call. No one was on the line after my answer.

Call and hang up, Nomorobo missed it.  Has been reported to them.  Looks like the spammers have a new number.
