Yes - see:  https://www.facebook.com/findtexasdogs/posts/626517370777682 - ThePetRescue is, indeed, a scam.  This FB page has a whole list of numbers people have been called from.

http://fox4kc.com/2014/05/01/problem-solvers- ... -lost-pet-home/

The company is just a front - no one looks for the missing pets, no clinics/vets/shelters etc in the area are advised of the missing pet.  They take your money, don't do anything, and will not refund your money (in spite of their "money back" guarantee - the only thing guaranteed is they are scammers).

I'm confused.  You posted this same message just a few minutes ago under the number 702-502-4280.  Are they calling from both these numbers?

Telemarketer
This number is being used by scammers who call people who have lost dogs.  They offer to search for your dog for a price and promise results or your money back.  They do not have people who search for dogs.

Yes, this is a nucance. One way of 'getting them back' without too much trouble, is spent 10 seconds to pretend that you are interested, then put your phone aside and let them talk into the blue as long as they like. It will cost their time, not your's. It will teach them!
For myself, I used to hate it when I got these calls. It used to piss me off! Now, I ike it when they call. It gives me a good feeling I get to waste their time 8-))

If you did not get the call from that number just don't define some-thing about that particular if you don't know at all the topics!!!

This number is regular working number from telephony company VOIP system. People when use internal voip subacounts call outside..And this is  number the system put on their call.

Prank Call
Just got a call from 626-445-9134 asking to speak to my wife. Told him that he had a wrong number, but proceeded to talk to me about my computer in a heavy Indian accent. Hung up after he started his pitch. Should've kept him on the line. I'm a computer tech and would've had lots of fun dragging him along for 30 min.

Debt Collector
They are calling my employer from many diffrent numbers but they are asking for an employee (who no longer works here). said they are calling from Pay Day Loans and needing to collect on a debt. Once my coworkers and myself explain  this is a buisness and delete this phone number from their records they begin to curse and swear at us. We have givin the #'s to our supervisors and they have givin the phone numbers to our Phone provider to have them blocked. This is a scam confirmed by Payday Loans themselves.

I also received a call with this number presented in the caller-id.  Indian sounding voice.  Said his name was "John Smith" from the "windows support team".  I asked him for the name of the company he represented.  He refused to answer.  After I asked him about 6 times, he hung up on me.  He has called me (same voice, probably same person) 3 times now at various times.

I have recieved 5 calls in the last 48 hours.  The most recent call I answered and asked who it was and why they were calling. "Victor" from a "cash loan department". I told him to take me off his list to stop harassing me, and to get rid of any information they have of mine.  If he doesn't I am going to press charges. I have already initiated contact with the local authorities, and I will not hesitate to pursue legal action if the calls continue to come in.

THIS IS A SCAM. Read about the your-PC-is-infected-corrupted scam here http://news.softpedia.com/news/Cold-Call-Tech ... on-150170.shtml They lie about your PC sending out malware, error messages, etc., and say your PC is about to crash to frighten you into giving them remote control of your PC to fix the nonexistent problem (don't let them!). If they ask you to open the systems tab in eventvwr.msc to see all the errors, these harmless errors are *normal* for any Windows PC (mine has several and it runs just fine). Don't let them take control of your PC because they can download *real* malware, possibly a malware suite, that can spam, steal bank logins and personal info, etc. If they've remoted into your PC, the safest fix is to re-format your drive and re-install your OS assuming you have clean backups of your data. You can try scanning with various antivirus software but scanning may not find all the malware. If you don't know how, get help from friends or pay a local shop to do it. THIS IS A SCAM.

Woman with a heavy accent called our company switchboard and asked to speak to "John".  Having over 500 employees, we have more than one "John" and I asked for John's last name.  She told me she didn't know.  I told her that I couldn't help her if she didn't know who she was trying to reach.  She didn't reply and then hung up.   About 2 minutes later, I received a call from 607-767-0057 an a different woman with the same type of accent as the other lady, asked to speak to a John but provided a last name this time.  That particular person hasn't worked here in years and I simply told her that we didn't have an employee by that name.  She then spelled his name out and I told her that we STILL don't have anyone here by that name.  She continued to ask until I finally said, "Ma'am, what part of "we don't have a John .... working for our company???"

I have no idea who either of the women were with or why they were calling and I really didn't care enough to ask.

Got my first call from this number a few months ago. I told the Indian guy on the phone that he was full of $/&@ and that this was a scam. He then threatened to have every telemarketer in India calling me and that he would post my phone number on the Internet. Got another call this evening and told the guy I didn't know how he would get this number because this was my 97 year old grandmothers house and that there was no computer in this household. The guy didn't know what to say after that.

Interesting: At 9.50am (Ontario time) I received a phone call from a woman who claim to be a representative of Microsoft indicating that they have received  communication from my system saying that my computer is malfunctioning and therefore they would like me to go to my computer and they will guide me step by step on how to correct the problem. Due to that she has a very strong Indian accent I told her that I can't understand what she was saying. Then she told me to wait a bit and she pass the phone to another person. This time the person I was talking to was a man also with an strong Indian accent. After he repeated the same thing that the lady said he asked me if I could go to my computer and he will guide step by step for him to have access to the system and make the necessarily corrections to solve my problem. So I asked him to tell me what problem my computer has because as far as I know I don't have any problems. Then he says that I'm not aware of it but the company he is working for which is Microsoft knows. I asked him again that he should tell me the problem so I can be aware of it and do the correction myself. He insisted that the issue is very complicated and if he tell me I would not be able to fix it because he is the one who is authorized by Microsoft to do the corrections. Then I asked him if he works for Microsoft you must have given a number as big Corporations do I can check on your credentials. Then he hang up.

I know one thing about Microsoft and other Institutions or Corporations, they don't call you you call them if you have a problem. Never has been the other way around and never will be,
