Somehow this number showed up on my phone bill. They said I made a 1 min call to this number which I'm totally sure I didn't. I got charged about $4 for the call. no details on what took place during the call because I didn't make the call and there is no record of it on my incoming calls list. Weird

Just got one of these calls!
So creepy, because the line is silent at first. I simply hung up!

They keep calling from this number and I keep hanging up! I am sick and tired of this stuff. Every night the same old thing, just different numbers! How on earth do we get this stopped? It is time for action but not sure what to do to get off these lists?

Calls from this number claim to offer you "a fabulous prize of 2100 dollars towards a dream vacation".   A week at resort A, followed by a week at resort B, with all meals and drinks and entertainment "including Disney".  They start the call with the mention of a national department store (usually Target or Nordstrom if they are calling numbers in the states, usually The Bay or Zellers if they are calling numbers in Canada) and say that a "friend or family member" entered you into the draw for this "fabulous prize".  

This is a recorded call, and contrary to the telemarketing laws in both the United States and Canada, they do not give any contact information nor do they announce who is actually calling.  

At the end of the call, they urge you to press "1" to accept your prize.  If you do this, you will be asked for a credit card number to "confirm the prize".  There is totally automated, there is no contact with any live person at any time.  Obviously, this is a scam and they are fishing for credit card numbers.  NO LEGITIMATE PRIZE OFFERING WOULD EVER REQUIRE YOU TO GIVE ANY FINANCIAL INFORMATION OR CREDIT CARD NUMBERS.  

If you get a call from this number, hang up and report it to the FCC in the United States or the CRTC in Canada.  The calls are illegal and the offer is a scam.
