I got the same call today (Nov 30, 2010) but wasn't home to answer.

i got the same number they asked for my parents i told them they could speak to me and hung up

they just did that to me and i was like no and hung up. dose any body no why they call and ask for our parents?

This number is now calling me everyday, the first time I answer they asked for the parents of my high school child, told yes, and they hang up.

Yeah, they called asking for my parents, too, every day for nearly two weeks. The last time they called was last Friday (12/17 i think), and it's now 4 days later......

these people are calling daily, they are rude, the ask for the parents of our child, when I ask why are they calling daily and not talking, they hang up!  The won't tell you who they  are, or why they are calling...
This is unacceptable, and i encourage everyone to report them to your local phone company provider as a problem

Unsolicited call, asking for the parents of my high school daughter (using her name).  Offering SAT/ACT test prep materials.  When I asked for our number to be removed, the caller said "No" and hung up.

I  just got a call from these guys too. i felt creeped out. i have only registered at act.com. how did they get my info...........

I just got a call from them today and i answered and they asked for my parents they knew my first name and last name which really creeped me out, i said excuse me and then they hung up.  I just read in a post above that they think these calls are linked to collegeboard.com and that collegeboard sold their contacts. i think this may be true because i am registered on collegeboard.com.I hope someone reports these guys because it is creepy and very rude.

Got the same rude call asking about my daughter. This has got to be a scam. Someone needs to shut them down! It is a sick feeling when they use your children's names.  PLEASE EVERYONE REPORT THEM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

They just called asking for my parents, when I asked who was calling they hung up. I could hear another person making a call in the background and it seemed like at least fifty other phones working. I haven't taken the SAT or PSAT.

They have been calling for a long while now.  Either the Alhambra Id or 800 number.  I never answer these stupid calls but they won't give up.

Can they be reported to the do not call registry?  I wonder

I have been receiving daily calls from this number. I let machine answer and they leave no messages. Today I answered and same as above they asked for the parents of James ( have no son named James???) said they have wrong number and they hung up. I called back to find out what it was and message was the same as above..." Hello....we are helping other families..."

I got the same kind of message. They asked for both my kids names. When I said identify yourself, they hung up!

I got a call from this number & a male caller was on the other line & asking for the parents of my son, when I asked who he is, he hanged-up the phone. Feeling offended, pissed & creepy, I decided to Google the number & I found this forum. The have called over ten times within one week & they also used another number where it says "California" on the called ID.

They "allegedly" are selling a computer prep program for the SAT.  Your child probably took the SAT or PSAT and this company calling themselves the Student Achievement Center bought the list from the College Board. They guaranteed my child a 300 point increase and I said over what (my son has yet to take the SAT).

Wow!  This just happened to me.  Can I speak to the mother or father of "Daughters Middle Name"  Guy hung up when said mother was not available.

that is literaly the same thing that happened to us. I mean we dont know anyone who lives in california but they said my daughters name like they knew her and then asked for her parents!

I received a call from number 626-548-7095.  When I answered, they asked to speak with the parents of my daughter.  I told them that they were not available and they hung up.  I am receiving calls from this number pretty much on a daily basis!

I get the same calls every day from either 626-548-7095 or their toll free number.  Most  of the time I ignore due to the frequency of unwanted calls. When we start to ask to be removed from their call list or answer not interested in the SAT....they always hang up.  There are lots of local ways in the area to deal with SAT that are legitimate and professional, unlike these callers!

Comes in as Alhambra, CA. I don't pick up and they just hang up. They don't even do that stupid, "Hello? Hello????" That drives me crazy.

I have also been receiving calls from 626-548-7095 almost every day.  When I have called back at any time of the day or night, I also got the same voice-mail message stating that they were busy helping other families.  At times, the voice-mail does allow to leave the information it requests.  However, I never leave any, nor will I ever.  I do not know who they are, what they want, or why they call so often.
