Yahoo is selling phone lists thats how they have your number. I set up a phone number through Yahoo's paid online messenger phone service and have given it out to three people so they can reach me overseas. Not long after I set it up I got the sales calls so Yahoo is selling the list of numbers after they are set up

Well I only have this number through Yahoo's phone internet service and have given it out to three of my friends so they can leave a voice mail when im overseas and I can get it. So Yahoo is selling the number plain and simple.

This is a telemarketer who is trying to get your credit card numbers. If they truly can lower your interest rates they should already know who you have credit cards from. I like the solution of adding them to your contact list with no ringer since they do not pay attention to the Do Not Call list.

Does this work on Verizon cell phone plans?

None of your business....What did Nicole ever do to you? Do you work for the transformers telemarketing company? If so Brian is going to kick your a**, while Catie, Hannah and I go shopping. You better recognize that transforming your credit is the last thing anyone wants done. Lick your own balls.

I am being auto dialed on my cell number and I do not want anymore calls
Jim 2011-08-24 22:00:55 Unknown
I screen all my calls. If it is important and you have a voicemail they will leave a message. If not, then why worry about it if you don't recognize the number? If it is important they will find a way to get a hold of you.

If you are on the donotcall.gov list - just report them. They will have to pay a fine!

they are calling from 612 808 9709 and 612-808-9589. I saved 9589 as minneapolis mn scam (cell) and 9709 call that I got twice today as minneapolist mn scam (house). I do this and never answer. If I am sitting looking at my cell like I was 2 minutes ago, I just reach over an hit a button that disconnects the call. SAVING ALL STUPID CALLS AS SCAM MEANS THEY NEVER GET A LIVE PERSON AS YOU ARE NOT TEMPTED TO PICK IT UP.

I've been receiving calls from this number (612) 808-9709 often since my block call has expired. It can be very disturbing calls after calls. This needs to stop ASAP or I will report to better business bureau.
Don't press One 2011-08-24 17:55:23 Unknown
By pressing "1" to be removed from the list, you've just confirmed that their randomly dialed number is actually a real number, and will probably get you on more call lists.
This is the same with spam emails, if you click the link to "remove from list", you just proved your email address is real and increased it's value to spammers. Best to ignore and report.

I pressed one and will now report to BBB and Federal Trade Commission

I'm thinking of calling them back and pretending I'm interested in their service, but have constant interruptions that force me to put them on hold... like "hold a sec, the pizza delivery is here", then come back a few mins later and let them talk... start to give them information about what they ask, then get side tracked into "but I haven't used that credit card often, last time I used it we went wind surfing at the beach, the waves were huge and it was amazing.... we had pizza for dinner that day too, same kind of pizza... this pizza is really good, you should try some... and after a few hours of their wasted time, and a lot of fun on your end (assuming you have some time to torture them), they will probably hang up...
I once let a mortgage refinance company talk for over an hour before I finally mentioned that my mortgage had been paid off for years... These people get paid straight commission, so making them waste time is the best payback. It can be fun too :)
ps. to the !diots who leave angry messages on this website... do you really think the owners of this phone number read this website??? use your brain!!!
Pamela Fryer 2011-08-24 17:00:12 Unknown
I do not know who this is. They do not leave a message, but they call at least a few times a week. How do we stop these calls and how do we find out who this is?
DrNeu 2011-08-24 17:00:07 Unknown
I got a call from them today. My solution to calls like this: I add them to my contacts so they appear at the end of my contact list, e.g., zz01, zz02, etc. Then I set the ring tone to "no ring." Next time they call I don't even know it. My phone allows me to enter 5 numbers for each contact - mobile 1, mobile 2, fax, home, and work. When I fill those up, I start a new contact for 5 more numbers to enter that will not ring. Works great!

I just got a call from the same # on my cell phone. I didn't answer & when I tried calling the # back it said "you have been contacted for telemarketing purposes" Then went on to say press 1 to be taken off the list of 2 to talk to a live person. I went with option 2 to see why I was being called but that option says that the voicemail box for this party is full. So then I recalled and chose option 1.

Do NOT call my phone again under the pretension that we "talked last week" and that I was interested in "lowering" my credit card debt. We have NEVER talked and never will. This is a privately listed cell phone number. I have a regular phone you can call all you want for your scams - I screen all those calls and don't answer THEM, either! You have been reported as a scammer/phisher.
