Called and first words were "Who's this" then hung up.
Called back 10 minutes later, asked for person they got name of in first call. Identified as professional fund raiser for Fraternal Order of Police "shop with a cop" promotion.

Rude telemarketer falsifying a police officer.

Said that he was going to come to my office...and he knew my address...and said that I was going to be killed...and I better watch my back when I leave work today.

Last time I checked it is AGAINST THE LAW to impersonate a police officer.

Just got a call for my boss from this jerk.  Wanted to know my bosses schedule and would only say his name was John McGuire.  I asked what company and said it was personal.  I asked what it was regarding and he said it was none of my business.  He tried several times to pin me down with a time to call back and was rude when I refused to give any info.  Caller ID said metro police.

I spoke with the REAL Lemont, IL Police Department today, and the officer said they are fully aware of this scam artist, who is funding his life by faking solicitations for the "local police."  If you donate money, you are donating directly to this guy personally.  The Lemont Police have been unable to arrest this guy because he is making his solicitations to people outside of Lemont.

I just got a call from this D-Bag.... and I'm always very nice on the phone... and this schmo hung up on me after getting p*ssed off cuz I don't know someone else's schedule... when I'm getting that person's paycheck then I'll give a SH*T. TILL THEN thiS Guy needs to pull the stick out of his Anoose. =o)

Yeah, we just got the same call asking for the president, and our receptionist told him that she doesnt know when he is coming in, and he said "IT"S NOT A HARD QUESTION IS IT?" and hung up.

Well, I called the number back and did the same thing back to him, asked for the president and he said that it was him and I started to curse him out.

Got a call from this number today.  Teenaged daughter took the call -- we were out.  He kept pressing her for info on where we were, when we'd be home, etc. Freaked her out enough that she called me on my cell to let me know what happened. I called the number back to find out more. He first identified himself as Dan, then quickly changed his name to Jeff.  Said they'd never do that -- they are professional fundraisers for our local police.  Conversation went quickly south when I asked more questions.  He got rude, used foul language and hung up one me.  I called the Naperville Police and they have no record of any relationship with any fundraising organization -- nor do they believe that any other police force contracts out for such a purpose.  They had received several complaints today.

I just got a call from "Police Metro" 630-243-6990.   The male caller was rude, what charity is he working for, I would like to call the charity and notify them of these abrasive fund raising tactics.

Got a call, during dinner, from this number.  He identified me by name and said "I hope I didn't scare you, this isn't an emergency."  Which, of course, immediately raised a red flag.

He said that last year I helped them out with some sort of kids drug program in our area and wondered if I could do the same again this year.  I said, "I'm sorry.  No." When I started to tell him to have a nice night, he hung up.

I just received a call from 630-243-6990 during lunch break.  Male caller rudely demanded to talk to our boss and claimed this's an important call.  I asked if I can have my boss called him back since the boss has gone to lunch.  He hung up on me mid-sentense.

I got an unpleasant call from this phone number as well. This morning he had called asked for one of our presidents here at the company and I had a hard time hearing him. When I asked him to repeat the question and my answer was he wont be in and i'm not sure when. HE responded with, "IT"S NOT A HARD QUESTION" and hung up. Didnt say who he was or what company he was calling from. VERY rude and bothersome for me to acutally look his number up to see who and what the deal was with this mean character!

I just got a call from the same number. They did not leave a message but everyone should know that there is not a "metro police" in Dupage County.
