Mr Ben Devine, call me  from #630-279-7600 and explained he had one and a half to two feet of paper work on his desk.   He would not be reachable for the next 24 to 48 hours.  So I needed to pay the bill in full or end up in court.   He call first time 3 minutes after 9 and the second time 13 minutes after nine two days in a row.  Wonder what happemed to all that paper work.  I told him to do what he needed to do.  I owed nothing.   He had on idea I have a attorney and he is in the fire now.   If you have questions about something keep asking questions and making calls till you fine out what your rights are.  Most attorneys will give you a free half hour to see what you need to do.   Don't give up.  If you owe someone talk to them.  It will help stop  this kind of person.

This is scary to receive a call like this.  I called the 888 number only to receive a message stating they were closed. I felt this was funny so I listened to the recording once again, and then Googled the name. WOW, didn't expect to see these comments.  I don't owe any money to where someone would be harassing me like the above comments.  Unfortunately I use to work for a company that I gave my "personal phone" number out for business purposes.  Guess this is where the calls are coming from. I received a phone number from a Gail Zimmerman from this phone number. The message she left was to call 888 217 3112 extension 6117 regarding a matter from Brennan and Clark. So I call the number on my phone id and it was 1 630 279 7600. A woman answers and I say my name and she asks me who called. I said it was a woman. She transfers me to the 'one' woman in the office and its Gail Zimmerman. She asks me if I have a file number. I said no and she says,,"So you didn't take the file number!". She says, "Do you have a husband??" I didn't answer her. She says, "do you have a husband?" I say "It's irrelevant". She says it is because you could have a lawsuit against you. She says says check the message again, because I can't find your name in the system. She had just called me that morning. So I call back and its busy.. I am not sure if they are a debt collector but they had no right to ask me if I had a husband, and threaten with a lawsuit, and then not be able to find me in their 'system'. She said she had 2500 clients.. Bullcrap!!!!

Sue them for the damages to your credit! Any consumer attorney will take the case.

I have received correspondence from Brennan and Clark over and over because they claim that Safeco reported that I owed $153.  Brennan and Clark reported this to to ruin my credit score without trying to find out if the claim from Safeco was accurate.........it wasn't.  Gale in that office is a real piece of work!

Just got a call from this number they bullied and threatened.
When I hung up he called back leaving a voicemail stating we better have gotten disconnected and I better hope I didn't hang up on him!

During the earlier call he threatened in all the same ways stated here and he let us know he had seen into our credit report that we pay our other bills so we need to pay his client or he would take action.
He wanted a paymt over the phone and insisted it be done today or else!

So I look up the name on google and I read the commits and delete the message and ad it to my blocked call list

I haven't received a call from them, rather, worked there for a few years....they are ONLY a collection agency, and they do LIE about being lawyers.  Do not attempt to "work" with these people whatsoever, they are liars and cheaters.....

The individuals name is Todd Pierce do not call him back at 630-359-6170 it will ask you to leave a message and he will call you at a time of his choosing. Call him on the main line 630-279-7600 and catch him off guard. Todd Pierce tries to act as an attorney although he i not and only a collection agent ( i have verified this). He will tell you that his client will sue if he does not get paid however, depending on the state you are in that is not correct. If you call him on the # i gave and ask for him, you will catch him off guard and control the situation. He tries to be very controlling and often violates the "Fair Debt Collection Act" Look it up! Ok, i received a call from a Laura Ward acting as if she is an attorney with Brennen & Clark. The voice mail recording states she is in and out of meetings and returns calls throughout the day?.they are really trying to fool you here. She originally called and left a case number. I returned her call immediately thinking the worst. Turns out, she is trying to collect on previous car insurance that I paid month-to month. In my mind, if I did not pay the next month, the insurance cancels. It?s not my fault you kept trying to insure someone who selected another insurance provider. So when the conversation first started, she asked if I had been served by the Sheriffs department?..ok, hell no, and for what might I add. She replied for none payment of insurance?.ok, the call goes down hell from here. I thought it was really about something else. Told her I did not have the 203 she is requesting I would call back when possible. She told me I was lying and that she would contact her client and tell them to proceed. They would record it, and when the insurance companies audit, my new insurance provider would raise my rates. WHAT A CROCK! If I was not at work while trying to resolve this matter I would have cursed her out. I am in law school & you can?t fool a schooled snake. My last words for Ms. Ward was, ?Go for It?. Grant it, I do commend them for the different approch to collecting; however, this may land them in court one day.

I received a called last night from these people and it sounded like a recording and they asked if I was _______ to press one. I hung up and then dialed the number back. I said that this number was on my id and that I was wondering who it was. She asked who I was and I told her that I would not tell her until she told me who I was talking with. She said she would not tell me and hung up. Obviously it is not a legitimate company or she would have said whom she was working for. Also this was at nine o'clock in the evening. Once again who is open at 9 CST these days.

I've received 2 calls so far from these people at 630-279-7600 claiming to be an attorney. Call number one:

The purpose of my call is to afford you an opportunity to resolve this matter with my client before I advise them to proceed to further protect their interest. Should you choose to do so, I will hear from you immediately. I can be reached at 888-217-3212 if my assistant is out my direct extention is 6119. The case is going be filed under XXXXXXX." Hung up.

Call number two:
"Clint Crystal with the offices of Brennan & Clark. I had previously left a message requesting a return call. Absent an immediate response from either yourself or your attorney, I have no choice but to advise my client to move forward. Again I can be reached at 630-359-6119. The case is going be filed under XXXXXXX." Hung up.

Today, I recieved a call from "Todd Pierce" with Brennan and Clark. Here is the message he left me!!


"Mr _________!! Todd Pierce with Brennan and Clark, 630-359-6170. We represent a client that is beggining the process of forcing compliance. To avoid defending this, you or your legal council must contact my office immediatly. This matter will be filed under case# XX-XXX-XX."

He must be new because it was very obvious he was reading a script. What a WINNER!!!

These jerks called and said the same things to me today and said if I didn't give them an electronic check immediately, they would take action. When I said no, they told me they "knew what to do, and they would tell their client to go ahead and file suit". They absolutely made it sound like they were attorneys. Turns out, we don't even owe the money they tried to collect.

I owned a wholesale tire company.  I shut it down 6 months ago. Now every once in a while will get calls from 630-279-7600 saying he is an attorney & I must call him back or otherwise he will take further action. When I do call him back, voice mail says he only returns call between 3 & 4 pm.  I still don't even know what it concerns ?  Sound like a scam.

I also received phone calls from this number. the guy harassed, yelled, cursed and threatened me. I don't know what kind of business brennan and clark believe in but it is surely not a moral one.

Hey call the guy by his real name Ed hallisy.  He will s*** a brick and not know what to say,.  He acts as he is an attorney named joe palowowski but he is a dept collector.

caller states: " I am with Attorney Joseph Polawaski's office. I am calling regarding a time sensitive legal matter on a case I have just been given. It would be of benefit to you to talk with us regarding this matter before any further action is taken. Pleaase call are code 630-279-7600 and when my secrretary answers tell her it is case# xx-xx-xxx. "

This unethical collections firm uses misleading and threatening tactics to intimidate and scare you into returning their calls. They imply that they are attorneys and that they will soon take legal action against you and you will soon be in big trouble. They stop calling for a while, then pick up again.

I had an advertising contract with a local salesperson for a company based in Pennsylvania. When they did not uphold their side of the contract, I informed them of their broken contract and ended the relationship. Now they harrass me, threaten me, and ding my credit. There are no laws to protect me from them that I can find and I cannot afford a lawyer, so I just ignore them.
