You can go into your call log & block phone 's that called you. You have the option to hang up on them or send them to voicemail. Its a WONDERFUL THING! :-D

Needless to say they just got added to my "Black list" list. ;-)  

My 16 yo son had been recieving these calls daily.  I called them and they claim to be a collection agency for student loans and got this info:

They were very cooperative about giving me this info.  I informed them that they were calling a childs number.  They looked up the number and told me it was given to them by a woman who defaulted on her loan.  I told them we did not know the women and she had given them a wrong number.  They said they would immediatly remove my sons number and we would not get any more calls from them.

They call me daily.  Some dumb a** bill collector who can't find a better job.  I guess they failed at prostitution so they're doing this now.  I can picture the ad as posted, "Recession Tormenters needed to incessantly pester their fellow man for measely sums of money.  Must be a real do***ebag and be hated by most people you come in contact with.  Salary based on inner ugliness and lack of human emotions.  Pay is $2.00 per hour."

This is a collection agency with people who are unprofessional that like to harass people they may be scammers since they got upset that I asked them for documentation to be sent to me because I didn't want to deal with people on the telephone, the man was mumbling sounded like he could have been on drugs. BE CAREFUL!!!!!

Yes It does! It is quite ridiculous they make you try to believe a lie about your own family members in order to scare you into making a payment for them

They are calling me about my son in law and it is getting annoying.  
They have also called my other daughter about him.  They are trying to get money him.  This needs to stop and they need to get caught.

These hang up calls are obnoxious. no message and persistant all hours of day and night.
Im sure they are looking for someone who has been long gone for years.

Keep getting calls from this number... as well as 630-613-1139. Assuming they are both extensions from the same place.  I think it's a collections agency, however no one in our house has anything in collections so it's very obviously a wrong number. We find it annoying because they call throughout the day, they've even called at night. We actually picked up once because they were calling at an illegal time (after 9 pm). We mentioned that no one here is the person they are calling and looking for, they asked us if we knew where this person they are looking for is (also illegal). Despite the fact that we are basically useless (don't owe them money, can't give them any kind of information) they continue to call. The one time we did talk to them it was a man- he was rude and aggressive, even though we don't owe them anything and all we asked was for them to stop calling, since no one here is the guy they want. We have also had voice messages left asking for the same guy, the most recent message (today) was a woman's voice. On our caller ID it lists "Unknown Name". Could also be a scam as far as I know, since we don't owe them anything... maybe they are just hoping to scare us into paying them or hoping we owe SOMEBODY something and will give them money.

I let it go to voicemail since I didn't recognized the number. It's apparently from Financial Management Services. The lady wanted someone who I had never heard of to call them back regarding an "important school matter". The number that the lady left was 866-376-5931. When you look up this number, it gives you about the same information as "Annoyed" wrote too. No, I'm not calling them back! :P

I've gotten 3 calls from this number this AM so far. I've refused to answer. The 3rd time, my answering machine was available but the caller had nothing to say - this is how they do it in a 'boiler room' when a machine calls and you have to wait for a human to pick up long after you answer. Who cares if it might be about a debt? I'm unemployed, seeiking work, of good moral character, and doing the best I can. Glad to see I'm not alone in getting these calls. Thank you all for sharing!

Well today I received 6 calls from this number, I did not answer this call because I only answer to local calls. It really gets annoying 6 calls in one day! There has to be something done about these types of callers because seems like everyone gets called everyday asking for an unknown person. This is what I call phone spamming.

Keeping getting calls from this number as well 630-613-1139.  The thing is that they ask for my social Security number saying it needed to varified my name before they can tell me what they are calling about.  I want give it to them.

I get a call from them everyday, Im very serious EVERYDAY they call me. The funny thing is that I answer but they hang up on me WTF?

I just received a call from these people.  I let it go to voice mail while I looked up the number on caller-id.  I am so glad that I didn't answer. They did not leave a message.

A year ago I had someone call and give me a line of bull about them being from the "Secret Service" and about an unpaid payday loan.  The funny thing is that I called the official Secret Service and ended up speaking to an agent who contacted the original caller. I never heard from that caller again.

Now I wonder who I can call about these people using a fake name.

I received a call from this number. They wanted to speak to a relative of mine, that had listed my family members as relatives on the application.  I feel hassled, because the person they are looking for is a female, so naturally, they think I am the intended party.  Its funny how they won't give out any information, but sure are willing to ask all kinds of information about me.  Honestly I don't want to teach them a lesson in 2011

Do not ever give anyone any personal information. No matter how much they think they have on you.  Just tell them to mail you proof that you owe them.  They should have your address if they have all the other information.  So do not even give that to them.

Also NEVER fall for the statement that they will have an officer at your door in ___ Minutes.  This is a scare tatic. The police will not come and arrest you for a little unpaid bill.  This would need to be taken care of in small claims court.

Now the only exception to this rule is if you are constantly running up bills and ignoring them, then they take you to court (mind you will be served with paperwork about the court hearing).  If you have done this several times, then yes the judge can put a bench warrent out for you, but that is only if you do not show up for court and do not make an agreement to pay and do not follow through on that agreement.

Once again, this number, along with many others, keeps trying to contact us. They tried the whole "we need your SS number" line....of course when we called them on the carpet, told them they have NOTHING to do with the government at all (their website is nothing but a huge run-around joke... www.fmsdc.com )....one big attitude out of the little chicky on the other end of the line. The "Client Log In" section just happens to be "under construction"...Big HAHA to that one! The REAL agency from the government is called "Financial Management Service" ( This is the REAL site http://www.fms.treas.gov/aboutfms/contacts.html ) where the FRAUD is called "Financial Management System"...close name...BIG difference!

These places can not STAND it when people call them out. If this were a real gov. agency...

1) they would have not matched out current number to a residence in another state that we have not lived at for over 5 years

2) no attitude would have been given to us

3) I made physical threats (just to see what they would do) along with many other threats, and once again...all attitude. Real gov agencies would have immediately done something about it.

These calls are getting so fake and annoying...with such old scam/fraud tactics...all that they are good for is taking out a day of stress on...quite fun to do to these people! Makes them freeze in their tracks.

This company is located out of Illinois.....uh huh....sure!

Lets harass the scammers! I have done it before and it surely stops making them call this number, especially when I call them every 5 minutes and chew out whoever is on the other end of the line!

These calls are from a collection company called FMS. They have purchased loans that have already been written off. This is a SCAM. I had a few credit issues when I was younger and with my ex-husband. This loan had been written off in 1992. DO NOT GIVE THESE PEOPLE ANY INFORMATION!!!!!
