This number calls me every month since I started a new business venture... The thing is they claim one of my employees listed my number as theirs. I don't have any employees right now. I have one person who writes a blogpost sporadically for me that says he has never even given them my number. They claim their "research department" found his name and my site through Facebook. This seems like a shady practice. They do not state who they are when you say hello, and they have shared private and confidential information about my "employee" with me. Information I shouldn't know. After asking them several times to remove my number they still call. This company needs to be reported to the FCC.

I got a call from this number and they did not leave a message. Kind of scary that it is apparently from a collection agency? I know that my husband and I do not owe any money. I regularly check out credit reports. Hopefully it was just a wrong number and not a mistake.

Have received several calls from RMS in the last few weeks. They are trying to contact three different individuals, all unknown to me, regarding student loan debt. If they are a legitimate debt collector, they are very disorganized.  More likely a fraudster. Have blocked this number against future calls.

Really? I owe a school money? I graduated over 12 years ago. I do not owe the school a single dime. I have loans that are being paid off. My only responsibilty is to pay the loan back not to pay a school that has had over a decade to contact me and never did.

This is their job to call you.  If your sick of getting calls, ANSWER THE PHONE and address the matter.  Do you think they really want to call you every other day or so until you pick up.  NO.. If you answer and handle your business professionally and not act like a child and curse and hang up on bill collectors you would get your matters resolved.  People who say "I don't owe this" then answer and talk to someone about it and they can get you proof you do!  Time for AMERICA to be responsible and start resolving what they agreed to do so

If you had done the slightest bit of research (like reading the other posts in this thread) you would have realized that your opening statement "If you paid your bills people wouldn't call you about NOT paying them" is demonstrably false and pegs you as either a fool or a crook working with the lowlifes behind these calls.

I recieved calls from this agency.  The representitve was very professtional.  They did the best to set me up on an arrangment.  I did not even know I owed money to my old college, but they showed me proof, and helped me me set my loans straight, and even get them consolidated into one place.  Didn't cost me anything.  I showed them respect, they showed me respect.

Demand a ligitimate, physical mailing address in which to send a cease communication letter (VIA certified mail with return receipt requested). If they refuse, let them know you will be seeking legal counsel who will get this information for you.

They keep calling me.  I'm 50 years old haven't been in college in 29 years.  My loans were paid off in 1992.  They are rude.  They didn't tell me that this was a debt collection agency.  I found out when I called them back.  How do I keep them from calling?  HELP!

Constant calls from "Max" aka "Max Baumann", probably an alias. Never announces that he works for Receivable Management Services Corporation (they no longer call themselves Recovery Management Services), always asks for people by first name, calls either very early or very late, tries to weasel a cell number so he can get to the person, has made multiple threats to sue. Probably works from home; you never hear any office noise.

I've gotten numerous messages from this Max person looking for my grown son.  I have refused to give out any information about him so he harrasses me nonstop.  I blocked the phone number for 90 days, but the block ended last week.  I blocked him again and when I came in to work this morning, he had called and left a message on the phone of the vice president of my company for me concerning my son.  I've had enough.  I just filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau.  Can you believe these jerks have an A- BBB rating?  Not enough people are complaining apparently.

They try to scare you with their "legal department" the poor hillbilly... He talks like he has a dick up his a**hole... He is so annoying hahahaha

They will call ANY NUMBER you call them from, they will call your job, even if you ask them not to...

It's a pain in the a**...

I'm under payment arrangement.  I guess they're nice enough to work with anyone...

But that guy is so annoying... I hate him...

I received calls from this number this morning-my mother-Mildred Smith-is 92 years old.
They asked specifically for my mother in connection to a Paul something.
I tried to explain to them that she is 92 and neither she nor I her daughter knows this person.
They did not believe me. I want this to stop immediately.
What do I do if it persists?

They called my number too and kept me on ever lasting hold when all I wanted to do was tell them they have reached the wrong number, please do not call my cell number.  Then when the second person came on the line she was extremely rude.  Unbelievable how people treat you these days!  Please can you stop them from bothering me?

Thank you!

I have recieved calls from this number twice looking for someone who does not live here.  They have a hard time accepting that the person either gave a false number or changed their number and now I have it.  I was recieving calls for the same person from a different cash debt place until I finally got my number off their list.  They must have given the number to these guys to call.  Joys of getting a new phone number I guess...you never know who had it before you.

RMS calls daily and never leaves a message until this morning.  They asked to called them because I was given as a reference for a loan and they named an individual that I have never heard off.  I believe they were trying to trick me into calling them back.  I don't know what they want but they need to stop calling.

I have an update to my posting from Feb. 25th 2010.

This company calls repeatedly every so often.  Nowadays they leave a message.

The interesting thing is that they are calling about some account my ex has with some College of Art someplace in California.

Here is the catch: I have not been with my ex in over 12 years.

The cell phone number that RMS calls me on has only been in my possession for the last few years.

So basically I am being continually harassed for something that has nothing to do with me, and somehow these people obtained my unlisted cell number to harass me about it?!?

Despicable.

This number belongs to someone who works for a Collection agency.  Probably one of those companies that go out and 'purchase' debts supposedly owed to companies, and they pay pennies on the dollar to aquire these debts, and then find the people who allegedly owe the money and harass them to death.  The fact that most of these supposed debts are years old, and the 'debtors' don't even remember details of the accounts don't matter.  They will just try to strong arm you into paying a debt that many times was already cleared up with the original company it was owed to.  Or perhaps there is a dispute with the original company that was never settled, so the company 'sold'the disputed debt to one of these types of collection agencies.  My advice:  Don't bother answering the phone because they do NOT want to hear anything except you'll make payment, regardless of whether you really owe the debt or not.  Also...check the statute of limitations in your state on owed debt.  Many times the statute is about to be up which is why they are being so persistent.  If you get a call out of the blue for a debt that is years old, check your states limitations, check the Federal laws in regards to collectors (you are protected)
and do NOT promise to pay until you have all the facts.  Don't pay a debt twice just to make them go away.  Do not pay on a debt that you were having a dispute with the original company.  Determine your rights before you do anything.  And do not volunteer information to these people.
