There is a 99.999% chance of them NOT showing up.  That is just a scare tactic.  Most of the time they ask for your address so you can be served.  That is BULL!!!!  Servers show up unannounced!  IF, by the .001% chance someone does show up, call the local police.  The only OFFICIAL notification of a debt is in writing & delivered by mail or by a process server.

Glad I came to this site. Received a call from them, but no message was left. So they come and visit you and you are supposed to be so scared that you pay the debt. Don't think so, that is harassment and you don't know who this person is. I wonder how much money did they collect using this method. Maybe they will visit the right people and they will handle them the correct way. Do they use weapons or threaten you with physical harm? Seems like a lot of work, I will take my chances in a court of law. Plus if one of them visits me, I will be filing a police report.

Received a call on my phone from this number, don't know who they are and why they are calling me. Did not leave a message. Don't answer the phone when unknown numbers show up. If they are a collection agency, I don't talk to them. I only communicate in writing, they will say anything on the phone. Not in the mood for screaming and arguing with people. If it was really important they would have left a message. From my searches on the web it is a Debt Collector from LaGrange Park, Illinois. They called me twice in a 10 minute intervals @11:25am and @11:35 am. It is a collection agency, here is some info:

Receive as many as five calls a day stating "This is not a solicitation call but from Texas Platinum, please return this call" Of course, I never do. I have a DNC # but it does not faze these people.

This number calls @ least twice a day with just a man saying "Good Afternoon" in Spanish! When I tried to call it back it went to a recording for Mentex, Incorporated (Not sure of the spelling). I really want this place to quit calling as I have NO idea why they are calling!

This number is repeatedly calling my cell phone.  I had 5 calls yesterday and do not know why they are calling me.  I finally got someone on the line last evening and he claimed to be a collection agency.  Then we were disconnected.  I tried to call back and just receive voice mail.  I have no reason for a collection agency to be calling me.
