Got a charge on my debit card for $.53 bank is unfamiliar with and the number has been disabled. Guess I will have to get a new card...whoever it is is making a fortune $.50 at a time!

I got an unauthorized of $.58 on my account.

The charge on my card was .51.  It's the same vendor.  Cancelling the card right now.

i just realized this on my card and opened a dispute right away

Just noted a $10.42 charge from Alm LLC made on 4-14.  Went back and carefully reviewed the debit charges and saw the $.50 cent charge from JHD on 4-5.  Called Wells Fargo and they reversed the charges and cancelled the card, so am not out anything except time and aggravation.  I never use this card for any purchases, so the scammers use is puzzling.  It is clear from these posts that there is no common thread such as Amazon, Paypal or "skimmers" so perhaps they are just running a series of card numbers and then pick up on the hits.  If so, the credit card merchant accounts provider should have picked up on it.

Filed a complaint with the AG in New York State, but don't expect much.

Feel badly for the JHD folks and my lesson learned is review accounts in a timely way.

Just discovered a 62 cent charge with this number on my Homestate Bank account (made on April 5). I believe it's also related somehow to the more recent reports on 206-337-1078. I'm definitely going to call this in tomorrow when the bank opens.

PayPal notifiied me on 4-3-10 of possible un-authorized access to my account. 2 days later the .44 showed up on my Chase card. My card was only used for PayPal and online purchases. I am almost positive this was because of access to my PayPal account.

I am the owner of JHD Productions Ltd. located in Deer Park New York. Beginning Sunday April 4th I started to get HUNDREDS of call a day from angry people in almost every State in the Country, asking why my company was charging them anywhere from forty cents up to seventy cents on their Credit/Debit card. In the 30 years since I owned this company, we have NEVER used Credit/Debit cards for billing of clients. JHD is a film/video studio facility that produces Corporate & Industrial Video Productions as well as Independent Feature Films.
My Company name was "Taken" and used by some unknown enity to generate these charges. I,  like You, are a Victim. They stole my Name and Reputation.
Please don't call my studio. I cannot help you. Just go to your Bank/Credit Card Company and cancel whatever card these charges were generated from. I also posted information on my website www.jhdproductionsltd.com  about this fraud.

Just received CC statement from Nordstroms Bank , JHD productions charged me .54 cents called bank and they reversed and forwarded to Fraud dept and they changed my account free of charge. These morons aren't just limiting themselves to just a few major banks. How about getting a real job like the rest of us poor souls!

Just saw a charge for .48 cents on 4/5/10 from JHD Productions on my SACU Mastercard.  Just looked at the activity report today, 4/20/10, and noticed the charge.  Called my credit card company immediately and canceled card after reading these posts.  The only charge I make with this credit card is for my yahoo domain name monthly fee.  Not sure how this happened but my credit card company will issue a new card with a new number within the next 7 to 10 days. That's my story.

This is a scam that was set up on April 4th. The scammer used other people's Chase card numbers to make small purchases to his account, which he had set up in the name of JHD Productions. JHD Productions is a real company, but is NOT involved in this scam. Rather, they were also victims of the scammer, who has committed both credit card fraud and identity theft. The purchases were all under a dollar, and so many people would not bother to challenge it. Of course, for the scammer, the charges add up to a good deal of money (this was a nation-wide scam). Fortunately, many people *did* get angry about it, and researched it enough to find the number for the real JHD Productions (which, while being the same area code, is a completely different number), and called him to complain, at which point the owner of JHD Productions (Hugh Daly) contacted Chase and clued them in. Again, the real JHD Productions is a legit company which was NOT a part of this scam (except as a victim).

I really want to know which vendor or credit card processing company was the source of the breach!  I want to know so that I can stop doing business with the vendors that use them.  I think there needs to be a law that merchants have to disclose what credit card processing company they use and any other entity who has access to your credit card number if you request it.  There also ought to be a law that they MUST notify people when there has been a breach.

I too was hit on 4/05 for .64  Just realized it today 4/13  VISA BOA  also. Will call tomorrow.

These crooks need to be stopped and jailed

I have had a .63 charge, dated 4/5/10, appear on my BofA Visa check card.  I called the bank and had the charge canceled and the card canceled.  I want to know where the breach occurred, and when.  It has to be BIG for this many people to be affected.  I found out about it by checking the phone number in Google, and up popped this site.  The people here are probably an extremely small sliver of the total affected.  Many don't check their statements right away and won't know for a while.  I am going to mention this to our local news and see if I can get them to run a story.  I'm also going to file with the FBI and Internet Crime site.

I too received a bogus charge for $0.51 from JHD PRODUCTIONS.  This is a completely FRAUDULENT charge. This is happening all over the country, from several banks (BofA, Chase, Wells Fargo, etc.)

CANCEL your card immediately.  I've noted on JHD's website that the scammers were using the the JHD name, and furthermore, JHD does not even conduct business using credit/debit cards.  I'm only out 51 cents, yet the legit JHD is getting the worst.

Cut your losses and CANCEL the card, it is not worth filing a claim, or disputing.  If you have "payment information" stored on Amazon, Paypal, or any other site, I suggest you delete that information as well.  It is definitely worth the hassle to re-enter your information each time.

My debit card tied to my checking account was charged .55 cents on April 5. Mine was a mastercard. I was told that the charge is coming through the mastercard ( and visa) credit companies and that once I cancel the debit card number attached to the account there should be no more withdrawls from my account. My worries are what about the new card they want to issue me on the account? How safe is just getting a new number on a debit card ?  ( my thoughts are to cancel a debit card access to the account and just write checks)  

I also had that debit /credit number attached to Paypal and use it at Starbucks, Subway, Office Depot, Fred Meyer. Number was also on file with Amazon.
