recieved a nasty message from this number, he needs to be stopped!

They offered me a chimney cleaning. They never answered the phone for a reschedule. Don't trust it

Called name several times asking "Are you there?" then hung up. No other message left.

same as others- Chimney Cleaning ID shows MARSHALL,ASH IN tried redial as it was a hang up! just a busy signal. What a way to get woke up!!  What is their intent?? Seems like they were looking for a working tele number!!

Who is this number?

Received this number and Marshall, Ash In several times on our caller ID. When I finally did answer, they simply said wrong number.  I am thinking that they might be waiting for a female to answer to try and strong arm them into having them come out and perform their 'services'.

This company called me (in ct), but never uttered a word when I picked up.  They did not hang up- guess they chickened out... same number 631-924-0249 - ID says Marshall, Ash In.  Scammers for sure!  BEWARE!!!!!!!

Called and said our chimney was due for service, last time being 2007 (NOT!).  I told him my husband had already taken care of.  Caller said okay and hung up.  Was actually polite but this was not our chimney company so BEWARE OF THIS NUMBER CALLING!!!

I haven never used this service and suspect they are scamming people.  Called and said that they had cleaned our chimney in the past and wanted to make sure to get back to us on a regular schedule.  Only problem is I have never used them and have never needed to have the chimney cleaned.  Same as above only telephone number in Yaphank is 631-924-0461 and the guy that called, Tom, left a cell phone number of 203-223-8294 which is in Stamford.

Maybe Blumenthal can take a few minutes away from the campaign and find these guys before they do some damage.

Back track info all the same --MARSHALL -ASH IN.   on call ID a PIA Would have my Brother who lives very close to Yaphank go visit them  if I knew their address!! I am cerTain that he  would have a job for them that would not pay too well but should keep them busy!

Same deal. Caller ID lists Marshall, Ash Inc. with the number of 631-924-0249, If you call the number to verify or cancel noone answers, you get a busy signal or they answer and hang up. A scam for sure and the same claim of having cleaned your chimney in the past. Seem to be targeting Ct homeowners.

Got call from "Dave" saying his co. had cleaned my furnace flu in 2007, and would give a special low price if I'd have them do the same the next day. Also mentioned a no carbon monoxide gurarantee. I should have been suspicious since my last cleaning was on 2006, but I wanted it done so I said I couldn't do it tomorrow but could 10 days hence. Caller ID was private name and number.  He had called earlier when ID was private name and 631-924-8826.  Later I wanted out but realized I had no company name or number.  A few days later a "Christine" called and said the company would like to come the next day instead of the agreed date.  She said the company, Chimmey Servies, was a Milford, CT company with a phone number of 203-225-8283.  Her phone ID was Marshall, Ash, In at 631-924-0249.  I said I was cancelling the entire deal and not to come.  She said they'd call in a couple of months. I then did some research.  I could find no Milford co. by that name and the co. phone number appears not to be a land line. 631-924-xxxx is a Yaphank, L.I. exchange. I then found these 800 notes and realized that others are getting this same approach from a Long Island base  A scam surely.

got a call from Marshall, ASH, IN 631-924-0249. kept asking if my address is X X X X, I didn't tell him yes or no. I said if you want to clean chimney and make an apointment, just to find the landlord and talk to him.  I think it is a scam call.   should I report it to the police?

Got a call from this number. Badly misprounced my name. Extremely rude, basically an a**hole !!

me too.  called for chimney services, claiming I had a cleaning in 2007.  When I told the lady that I didn;t she immediately hung up on me.  The caller ID said Marshall, Ash Inc.   call originated somewhere in long Island.   Sounds like a scam to me.

Received a call tonite when I did not answer they called my cell phone.  I am reporting them to the FCC

I just got that call tonight.  As soon as I said that I did not have this done, she hung up on me.. had to look it up cuz it left a weird feeling to me and i knew something wasnt right..  going to report them to local police...

Caller states they have cleaned our chimney in the past, but we have never used this company.  Being investigated by the police department.

Called and left no message.

Called concerning my annual furnace & chimney cleaning.  Said they cleaned my chimney & furnace pipes in 2007.  I haven't had a chimney since 2004, and never used their service in the past. Either a scam or bad recordkeeping.
