I RECEIVE A CALL FROM INVESTIGATOR PHILLIPS, SHE STATED THAT THIS WAS IN REFERENCE TO A DEFAULT ON A CAR LOAN AND THAT I NEEDED TO TURN THE VEHICLE IN. SHE SAID THAT SHE HAD A REPLEVIN ORDER AND THAT THEY WOULD BE AT MY JOB TODAY. AND THAT IF I DIDNT WANT TO BE EMBARRASSED I HAD BETTER TURN THE VEHICLE OVER.  SHE ALSO SAID THAT THERE WOULD BE WARRANTS ISSUED FOR MY ARREST.
WHAT IS A REPLEVIN ORDER??

The other Number is 636-928-8785. I too recieved a called from an Investigator Phillips asking me to give up my property/mortgage. I gave her the third degree because she first called my cell last week and stated she had 3 different people with the same name. Then today she called my job and left a message on my Boss Vm. I called her back after googling her and asked her all questions I put her on the spot,. I also told her not to be disrespectful and call my job for an unknown reason. I got out of her why she called and she's a collection woman. False advertised herself as St.louis Co PD Investigator Phillips. I believe something needs to be done about this asap.

also people please take the time to read to all these different post um they will play it off as if they are private investigators to pursue you for a crime don't let them make your life harder than it is just because of difficulties financially or like in my case a wreck before I could even pay and bodily injury preventing me from working these people should be considered criminals not repo menthe cards the lever poorly made it can be to notice a difference between a real private investigator verses the repo company the other state seal will not be reged: and it looks poorly printed on the bottom will be the suppose it investigators name first letter then last name and a single phone number next to the state seal it will say investigation

They refused to give THEIR company name... which is apparently CountyWide Auto Recovery Services

They lie constantly.  After repo, they you have to go up there to get your personal belongings.  They refuse to work with you when scheduling an appointment.  Originally called at 11am on Friday, and I was told they close at 1.  Tryed to set a schedule on Monday, was told they close at 2 om Monday.  You have to call and confirm your appointment in the morning.  When I called at 8:30 (as I was told) I received the voicemail messaging, informing me the office was closed and was open 8am-5pm.  9am still no answer, finally at 9:30 I got an answer.  Only to be practically screamed at the the lady who answered.  She immediety asked for my name and number so she could call me back.  I'm like, "wait, what... what is your company name?"  She said, "Sir, I don't have time for this. I'm already having a bad day and I don't need this."  I said I had no idea what she was talking about, and she hung up on me.

If you are being called by this number and still have your car, KEEP IT HIDDEN.  They would only call at this point cause they can't find the car.  If they took the car, you better answer if you want your personal property.  They are going to demand the keys, and fee.  Seems very shady.

I don't understand it is post that go back from 2008, why is nothing being done.  What do we have to do ?  We all need to file a class action law suit.

I filed a complaint this company is breaking all sorts of laws go to the fdcpa and file a complaint.  People know they are behind on their bills but these tactics are uncaused for.

Now they are using the name Phillips. She called me today about my brothers car and told me that if it did not get  resolved today that the vehicle would be reported stolen. Anyone pulled over in the car would be arrested on site. I asked her who she was with because she was talking so fast asking me all kinds of questions and she said St Louis County Courts. I replied with, 'You are calling from.. You are a St Louis County police officer?' She said yes and we go through the courts. I told her I had no idea that he got a loan and could we just pay it off, she said its way to late for that now. I asked her if she could tell me anything about the loan( happened to be MO title loan) or who it was through but she said no. But she wanted my address, my moms, his ssn, everything!!! I told her to call me back and came straight in my room to look up the number. Things didn't add up. I knew it!!! I am going to file a complaint. You cannot misrepresent yourself as a police officer. Investigator of WHAT?!?!?! Files???? She/they I don't know but they will be reported.

Several months ago, a 'Detective Anderson' (female) called my place of employment and left a voicemail on my extension and on my coworkers extension identifying herself as a detective and citing a case number.  This morning at 5:30am I found a business card taped to my screen door with the following information:  Countywide Investigations - Civil, Criminal & Domestic Investigations - (636) 928 -8785 - STEVE ARDMON, Investigator - P.O. Box 1499, St. Charles, MO 63302.  Handwritten on the card was my name, the same case number (as given by Anderson) and the statement 'Must Contact ASAP to avoid further legal action!' I looked up Countywide Investigations on the MO Secretary of State's website and the company name was 'Forfeited'.  Upon further investigatoin, I found that the company is listed under 'COUNTYWIDE AUTO RECOVERY SERVICES, INC', David T. Lyman, 2603 Horseshoe Ridge, St. Charles, MO 63303.  The company's annual report can also be viewed on this site.  Harrassment by a collection agency is illegal.  I am reporting this to the police, the MO Attorney General and the Federal Trade Commission.

Lady who IDs herself as Anderson called stating she was a st louis detective. She left a message at my husbands work stating we need to call her back.....I did....I gave her his name....she said she had 3 cases with that name......I gave her the address and she would not tell me what it is in regards to, then asked for his social.....I refused to give out a ssn over the phone for to some unknown person with some unknown cause.....she hung up on me.

Countywide reposed car on 8/28/2012, debt paid in full on 8/31/2012. They told us when we called 636-928-8782 that we could not pick vehicle up today because the office closed at 12 noon on Friday 8/31/2011.

We went to 1600 Heritage Landing, Suite 108 St. Charles, MO 63303 as directed by them only to find out that we had to pay $50.00 for possessions that they DID NOT STORE and to make matters worse, our navigation system, several car charges, adapters and other misc items had been stolen out of the car. Yes, a police report has been made but that is just the beginning of the legal action that we are going to take to expose these crooks. Dianne Lyman is the owner of the company and has not heard the last from us!

I recvd a business card on my door from this number and when i clled it back i only recvd a voice mail....I then tried a few hours later...They do not give you any information but they do make you verify your first name middle name last name ss number address. When askwhat is this concerning they will not tell you even after giving all this information they advise you that you would need to speak with someone else..Very unprofessional tone about person answring the call. They want you to gv all information before they tell you anything and you really have no idea that who they are. I later fouind out that this is a company for title max..Ive NEVER had a title loan in my entire life nor have i owned a car like it in my entire life so when they basically accuse you of being the wrong person they do not apologize or anything..Very serious do not take this likely because in this day and age you have no idea what people are trying to so

They didn't call though they left a business card on my door that stated Steve Ardmon as a Investigator.  The card also said "Countywide Investigations, Civil, Criminal, & Domestic Investigations" with a address of P.O. Box 1499, Saint Charles, MO 63302.  They write on the card saying "Must call ASAP to avoid further legal actions" and placed my name plus some case number.  By appearance, it makes it seems like they are trying to serve me some type of subpeona or something though now I know exactly who they are.  I'll be driving my paid for vehicle for now and placed my loaned car in storage with a buddy.

They are called Countywide Investigations. They repoed my van. Then they are only open from 11-2 M-TH and you have to make an appt to get your belongings costing you $50.00. They don't tell you where your vehicle is until the day of your appt.

Anderson is a fake.  She don't work for the P/D.  She is a bill collector trying to collect a dept and scare who ever she can.

This " Investigator Anderson" also called me while I was at work and told me I was going to have a warrant put out for my arrest for stealing by deceat and fraud.  I freaked out cause I dont like trouble!  Well come to find out its all crap!  I called St. louis county police department in clayton and they ran the phone number through the system.  The man told me its not in any of their systems and that if they were affoiliated with the courts or police that the number would show up.  The man proceeded to tell me that you CANNOT go to jail for defaulting on a loan!!!  That the only thing they can do is sue you and 9 times out of 10 they wont.  Also, it will screw up your credit, but their is no criminal activity involved in defaulting on a contract or loan.  So make sure to tell your family that if anyone calls asking questions about you to hang up cause they been calling my family and lying to them as well.  Saying they were from some credit bureau and trying to get my address cause I moved and THEY DONT KNOW WHERE I LIVE! hahahahahaha

Upon completing a reverse phone number lookup I found out that the supposed investigator from St. Louis County actually resides in Harvester, MO which is St. Charles County.  Be very careful with people who are posing to be something they are not.  If it is a Title Max Investigator, they should identify themselves as that not purpotrate as St. Louis County.  There are two different people who call (Anderson and Steve A.) which give case numbers which don't show up on casenet or any other criminal or civil blog.  I will update this site when I find out who they really are.

A Investigator Anderson (woman) called me for two days in a row, She called me today and I answered. She had all my info..Address, birthday and Social. And she was calling over a car I had a title loan out for title max. She said if i did not have my loan paid before 1pm this afternoon I was going to receive a warrent for stolen property. Im still alittle pinsive about and called my lawyer....

I had Investgator Anderson call also. And the number comes up unknown on caller ID. So I did a websearch on this phone number and it came up a number in Harvester, Missouri. It might be a Title Max. I call the number back using *67 to block my number and I got Investigator Johnson. I proceded to tell her that I was going to file a complaint about them saying they are from St. Louis County Police Department and that they would send out a sheriff if I didn't give them the information they wanted, she  then hung up on me. This call wasn't even for me. The number is 636-928-8785.....

My wife had this happen today Anderson was her name calling about her ex husband of nearly ten year I instructed her to call St. Louis county and give them all the info that they provied to her. I would suggest you all do the same so that they know this is a serious problem

I HAD A  STEVE A. GO TO ONE OF MY RELATIVES HOUSE TODAY LOOKING FOR ME SAYING THAT HER HOME WAS MY LAST KNOW ADDRESS. Also, The number came up unknown. I asked her for the number she gave me 636-928-8785. Total joke you guys. Believe me, its only a scare tactic!
