Company offering me lower credit card interest rates.  Yeah right.  Any company that calls me out of the blue is a scam as far as I'm concerned especially when the caller ID says name unavailable.  What are they hiding?

I tried calling this number back to see who was calling, and got the message, "Your call could not be completed as dialed".   So that lets me know that it is not someone I would want to do any kind of business with.  Makes one wonder why they want to call and annoy people.  I never talk to unknown  callers, but do wish that was a way one could keep them from calling every day, and sometimes more than once a day.  I get several calls a day from different numbers from different org. that I do not know.  I wish they would take me off their list.  I have reported these numbers several times on the "Do not call list", but it does no good, so wonder why they have a "Do not call list".

Received a call. Left no message. If you use CL, there's a possibility you'll get spam calls like this. Unreal.
Caller ID shows this # but in the name field it says "Name Not Found"...

Called 3:46p.m.  on 3/21/2013

It's pretty easy guys.  If you get a call from a number you do not know, then don't answer. If it is someone really trying to reach you, they'll leave a message.  Then you decide if you want to call back.   Otherwise its just a missed call.  Your destiny is in your own hands.

This is a scam. They claim they want to lower your interest rates on your Visa or MC. Surprisingly, they did not want to know about American Express. In all my brilliance, I gave my credit card info, and they tried to use my card to make a Western Union transfer of cash. My bank caught on and I canceled the card.

Address info BS of course.  642 is a Texas area code;  35221 is an Alabama ZIP code.  These farkers call me constantly, can't seem to find a way to stop these calls.  Tried talking to their rep a couple of times but they always call back a few months later.  Suspect it's the Nigerian Email of telemarketing.

They probably use online phone directories. Most people have Visa or MasterCard, making it a safe bet for the scammers.

Fake number, hung up.

"Stacy from Card Services" is not a legitimate operation.  They are not from your credit card company, but rather are just trying to get information from you to steal from you.

Hang up!

Received call today, 18 Dec 2012, from this number.  Luckily, I was in the bathroom.  My caller ID announced something that I did not catch.  Checked the number on this site and other peoples' postings confirmed my suspicion that this is a scam.  It pays to have caller ID and the good sense, as suggested above, not to give cold callers your personal info, etc.

Answered the call from this number.  They want to lower my interest rate on my visa or master card.
The one thing that bothered me was, they had my name!  Who are these people?  Are visa and mc selling our names and info?  Makes you wonder..........
I can find no way to stop these calls, Thank goodness for caller ID.  Just don't answer unless you want to have fun with them and just keep asking stupid questions to keep them on the line so they can't call anyone else.

Just got a call from 642-000-1579.  My wife answered but I thinked she picked up too late.  When I went to check area code, I discovered it is not connected with any area code so it appears to be a bogus fake number.  Not sure how they get to establish these fake numbers.   Anyway, it obviously is some kind of scam.
Its all a scam folks.

These types of illegal calls will persist because there are gullible people out there. Never ever give out personal information over the phone. Ever.

Don't bother blocking and don't press any number or call the number back.

Know the signs. Always a call with a weird caller and always a fake caller ID. If you get a call you will get plenty more. Criminals don't care about the law but please continue to report to the DNC list and to other appropriate authorities.

Let the elderly and the vunerable know that telemarketing scams are on the rise and to never ever ever give out personal information over the phone. Ever.

Report and warn.

2012-10-22 18:19 Received prerecorded call from "Card Services".  Pressed 9 as instructed.  Connected with James Lino who represented himself as with Card Services.  I asked for a phone number to call him back and he said that he didn't have one.  I asked for his physical address and he gave the following address: Card Services, 3185 95 North Rd, Atlanta GA 35221.  He hung up after I asked for the corporate office telephone number.

This number just called our house phone in middle Georgia.  We don't answer unknown callers.  The answer machine is turned-off, since I'm going to be home all day.  All they heard was ringing, so they hung-up after about five rings.

If this is a call about 'lowering your credit card rate,' then it is a 'phishing' scam intended to convince you to give them your credit card and banking information in order to steal money from you.

You can tell from the number - with the '000' as the prefix - that it's a bogus phone number.  Don't talk with these folks unless you just enjoy messing with them and wasting their time!

The 'Do Not Call' registry cannot, and is not intended to, protect you from callers like this.  These callers are criminals who do not give a dang what list you're on or what the law says about calling people on the phone!

The only protection against criminal callers is 'CallerID,' call screening, answering systems, and a phone that can block certain callers.
