They  are frauds. Contact ftc.com. These people are scammers claiming to be from California. They are NOT AMERICANS. This is just a scam. Seek a laywer and you'll just be wasting money as I have, due to they can not prosecute people that are not here.

Received call, picked up phone, no answer.

Call from 512-538-2030 saying I owe for a payday loan, but I never got one. He he was Attorney Kevin Parker or Barker, can't tell because his accent is so heavy.

The calls said there is a fraud case against me. I need to contact them or my lawyer. They even called my cell phone. They have my social but I did not credit the information. I reported them to the Federal Trade Commission. The lady at the FTC was sort of rude. They also called from these numbers: 561-692-4011, 512-538-2030 and 516-318-0446.

They constantly call me, I have spoken with the FBI and they cannot really do anything they said to file complaints with the FCC and then with the local police department who will investigate them. I have spoken with my local Sheriff's Office and this is a nationwide scam. If someone you know took a payday loan out and did not pay it back and used your name as a reference they are trying to get you to pay the debt. There is no debtors Jail, they cannot produce any documents that you supposidly signed saying you would pay it and they ask for $12,000 but will take $480-$800 if you sent by western union. (First Clue) no collection company will ask for that much money and then settle for less. also they say they are calling from the Bronx Policy Department, when asked for a badge # of the Police Officer and the Burough of where they work, they will not give that to you. Just laugh at them when they call, tell them to contact you at **** (give them the local police department and the local FBI's phone #'s) they will stop calling for a few days and then start again. I started answering my phone from their #'s as You have contact the (whateever) Sheriff's Department please enter the extenstion you wish to be connected to and they press a # and I respond I am sorry we cannot locate that # please hold while we connect to the Crime Devision. They hang up. They will use anything they can to get someone to pay, once you do they will keep hounding you for more.

From what I've read on these threads, they seem to always use that phrase. Guess those dummies are all reading from a script.

More threats about legal action "as the situation unfolds on me."

These guys keep calling me and I block their number each time. Now the funny thing is they shouldn't be able to call to me when blocked. This morning these people had the nerve to call to at 7am and wake me up!! I told them to send the papers to  me and hung on them! This has got to stop these people should be in jail and not allow ever to use the phone again, I swear these people don't give-up!  I live in Oregon and I am a student in college, so I am getting pretty upset this hasn't been stopped yet. I beg anyone with the know do something please these people are driving me nuts with all these calls! When I say hello they tell me I am being sued and need to give the case number so I will have it.

I have been receiving the same call. DO NOT TELL THEM ANYTHING! Make them give you the information that they have. They are good because they can tell you your name and soc and even the bank name. When I asked him (said his name was Kevin Mark, really??? Kevin Mark???) to verify the info that he had he couldn't all he said was his client had the info. When I asked for a number to speak to the client he said he didn't have one. Then he got loud and nasty so I told him I was contacting the authorities and hung up.

Yes law firm of California is what they told me too. I. Filed a report with the FBI today others numbers are 7608741718. Sometimes they call and nothing but
0000000 come up on my caller id. Bs

Here they go agsain this time they say they are calling on behalf of a lawfirm of california. that is alot of bs. they did not want to leave a message. i informed them i was going to call the FBI AND other people to take of them.

Scam debt collectors... These are the same fake payday loan collection scammers that go by the name of Steven Foster, James Foster and so many more.  They are calling from a foreign number which is connecting to unsuspecting callers through leased telephone numbers.  645-789-4521 is one such number.  Do not speak to these scammers.  Do not validate any information with them.
