calls continuously,, called job over 25 times in over two hours...very rude man with heavy accent..basically repeats he is officer ron collin investigating loan fraud..he as assess to some personal info but he is "fishing" for more info  he knows last four of social but not all. ne mumbles and wants you to say yes .  he even told me my boss was going to fire me if I didn't get the situation taken care of.   local police blew me off and said to pay my bills. I don't owe on any loans I am totally debt free

called me from this and several different numbers claiming I owe $1200 to a payday loan.Indian accent. Refused to give any information about them or the previous debtor. Threatened to take me to court, get me fired from my job and called my husband a Bastard. Several different men called all with Indian accent and all with Caucasian names with the title of officer.
I was forced to change my phone number and bank account number because of these crooks.

I got a call from this number from someone named "Officer Sam Nelson" he said I had commited fraud and if I do not pay my payday loan he would have me arrested.  Be careful because he had my social security number.  If they want money DO NOT GIVE THEM ANY PERSONAL INFO!! THIS IS A SCAM!!

These people have repeatedly been calling my work. Very thick accent, almost impossible to understand.  Latest person says her name is Amy Nelson If That's her real name I'm married to Angelina Jolie. She has called 4 times even though I have told her I can't take personal calls at work.  I persits in saying I can't take the calls and she keeps rattling off bits and pieces of personal info and tries to get my home phone number until I repeat I can't take personal calls and hang up on her.  I called back on my cell phone and asked to speak to her and a man with an extremely thick Indian or Middle  Eastern accent said she was not available.  I asked what kind of company this was and he said "debit consolidation"  Not DEBT consolidation DEBIT consolidation.  I told him to let amy know I called and to not call my work again.  I think they use the ruse debt consolidation rather than an actual collection agency because they know that if they are told to not call a work number anymore to collect a debt and they do They are violating Provisions of the Fair Credit & collections act. If they call again I am going to take the time to find out more and get my employer involved since they are calling in on a toll free number. and tying up my time and that of other reps who transfer the calls to me.

If he represents himself as law enforcement ask him what law enforcement agency he represents and get a badge number. Tell him you will call his agency and verify his identity before you will give him ANY information.

Officer something called to say I had committed a crime, etc., etc.  He sounded like he was of Indian descent.  He called me at work and knew my home address, partial SS#, and some additional information.  I told him it sounding like a scam.  He gave me the 646-289-8297 phone number to call back for more information.

Someone with an Indian accent (David Jackson- ha) calls my cell phone constantly and says there is to be a case downloaded by 11:00am.  I argued with him the first time and informed him it was a scam and threatened to tuen them over to the state police. I asked him where the case was- no response. I asked to be transferred to his supervisor because I thought threatening him with the state police would stop it. Now, they are calling my work numbers!! Help me!! How can I make them stop?

I GET A CALL FROM MICHAEL SOMETHING(I CAN BARELY UNDERSTAND HIM) FROM NATIONAL (SOMETHING) DPT SAYING I DID ILLEGAL ACTIVITY THROUGH A COMPANY AND THERE IS A COMPLAINT AND HE WILL TAKE HARSH LEGAL ACTIONS. HE CALLS MY WORK EVERY DAY. THE FIRST TIME IT WAS A DIFFERENT PHONE NUMBER, BUT NOW IM GETTING 914-373-9095. THIS IS ALL IN A VOICEMAIL TOO THAT HE IT WILL BE HARSH AND HE NEEDS MY SOCIAL SECURITY NUMBER AND MY ADDRESS. HOW DO YOU GET THESE PEOPLE TO STOP CALLING WORK???

These guys were featured on 60 Minutes.  They got their information by hacking into Internet sites, and they threaten lawsuits against the last 4 digits of your Social Security Number.  They speak with an Indian accent, and they claim you will face "harsh legal action" unless you send them between $500 and $1,000.  They are total idiots because their name does not even make sense:  United Investigation Bureau Department.

They use names like Roger Smith and Jack Jones, but their real names are probably something like Mahamanda Yogananda.  They can barely speak English.

They use various call back numbers including 347-844-6701 and 718-766-7916.

The best idea so far was what Paybackisabeatch suggested.  Turn the tables on them.  Call them back, ask for Habib, waste their time so that they cannot make money with scam calls to extort money from honest people who may get frightened or confused.

I got the same call like all the rest of you. This time he has called me consistanly at my work number where my boss is threating me and harrasing me and tring to fire me. The people at work are now refering to this idiot as my "friend " when he calls. He threated to arrest me if i did not give him $1400 and my new banking information and credit card. If this idiot any any sense at all he would have known I have nothing and for me to come up with that kind of money is a joke. This person also had names and phone numbers of 2 people i  put down as refferences on a online loan i got last year. He gave me a badge # a case # starting with ne for nebraska where I live. This person is slick but he also is not very smart. I called my local news station in town and they did a story on him. I also contacted all 3 credit buerus for he has used my social # on alot of stuff. I am also filing a police report in my area and I also filed a report with the federal trade comisionon. anyone who gets a call from this number needs to do that as well.

everything is the same as the others have reported except; they have my old bank account routing number, email address and home address from 2 years ago none of which is current. The only thing that was the same was my work location and number. They have also given the numbers 646-289-8292,646-289-8345 (these are in N.Y) also they gave the number 786-866-9156 (this one is in Miami, FL.)

Same crap only they called my work number first. my wife works in hr so she called me with the number, then I called them they tryed to get pushey with me then I told them to stick it. I told them not to ever call me or my work again they then hung up.

"Graham Smith" called with my bank name, social security number, address, place where I worked and my phone number. Said I committed a crime and he was going to arrest me. Don't give them any information. Called from 952-992-6315 told me to call back at number 646-289-8297 and was an indian descent voice.

yeah, i've been getting one from a guy who i believe to be indian or such.   He keeps asking for "Melissa Nash" -- whoever that is.  He wants me, "Melissa Nash", to call him back so that he can take legal action against me, "Melissa Nash", concerning some case with "social security number 4434".  He said his name is "Graham Smith".  Telling him he's got the wrong number hasn't stopped him from calling.  At least he remembers to always ask for "Melissa Nash".

I knew it was a phishing scam, who knows where they got the number.

I had "Officer George White", nice name for someone of Indian descent. LOL!

When I called back, they kept passing me around and finally I told this this was a phishing scam it was going to be reported to FBI.

They quickly said I could do whatever I wanted and not to call back and then they hung up on me.

Whatever.

If they spent as much time working as they do scammming, they'd have a decent life.
