they always leave a messages save it and probably this will help bringing it the police dept. i contacted one of the payday loan that i have, they advice me not to do anything, because they said it's a scam, just ignore and dont answer the call. and even the one that i spoke to she said, she had that call also.

make sure that they will not get my bank account, same thing i also reported them to credit b. and put fraud alert on it. and listed them on fbi fraud. just be cautious everyone, i did apply for payday loan and stop doing that. specially if they redirect you to a third party anyone can get your info.

i just received a call today, and this is the same person that called me 2 mos ago and recognized the voice, i already report them to the fbi and even to credit bureau, but sad thing the have my last 4 digit of sss, so that's the i am concern, i will change my cell number and make sure they will get my bank account.

Ok I called the FTC Number you suggested.. and it throws you in and endless automated system. It repeats the same messages over and over again. Really? This is after chosing 1 for English and 2 for complaints.. I have tried it several times and it just repeats the same thing over and over again.

I get a call from them on a daily basis.  I didn't do a payday loan.  I'm tired of thm calling and telling me their filing a judgement against me when they don't have proof I did it.  I told them I have all of my bank statements and I can prove I never got money from a payday loan put into my account and twice they just hang up.  I took them several months to call me back but they are calling again now and I just don't answer the phone.

You should report them to your local police. Additionally you should pull a free credit report and make sure that you dont, in fact, have a line of credit fraudulently created. If you do you need to go to the police immediately for identity theft- or you WILL be dealing with people like this for a long time.
I have called and spoke with someone, When i informed them that i am  calling in regards to a phone call my client received yesterday and that i am their attorney they were nice as day. And when i told them that i was calling to give them the police report number for their records they got even nicer.
AND when i told them I needed a loan number, case number, contact information including physical address and proof that this was not a fraudlent call on their end (or else the police report would remain open and turn into a DOCKET number)....they said theyd call back in less then an hour.

I just got that call from this number about 40 mins ago saying I owe money for a payday loan from Meta-Bank and if I do not pay in 48hours I will be taking to court. I cursed him out and demanded the information when I got hostile he backed off and hung up. I called him back 7 times a few times he let the voice mail get it then the last couple of times he picked up and hung up. I am 6 months pregnant and I do not have time for this BS. I called the authorities and I am waiting for them now, somebody needs to get this bastard!

I received a call from a calvin from the law office of shawn wood regarding a loan from paydayusa. I told the guy i had no loan and that i would contact them directly since i supppedly got the loan 03/06/11. I looked up paydayusa called them and they told me they were a payroll company not a loan company. Also to beware it could be a scam and to notify my bank.

I received a phone call today from a Sharon Kluwoski of Law offices of Shawn Wood, stating that I owe money. I told them before I begin to give out any information they would need to send me by fax validation from the company I owe. The lady told me that she could only give me verbal confirmation. I told her since she could not provide any wrtitten documentation then I could be no assistance to her. She hung up on me. Five minutes later she calls my job stating I was going to be served summons papers and then arrested. I told her that I have a lawyer and this conversation is over any communications needed to be directed to my lawyer.

I received several phone calls on my answering machine at home from this number and could not understand the person on the other end.  I heard something about a law office and something about owing money.  I do not respond to callers who do not speak English in an understandable manner.  Then yesterday I received a call on my phone at work.  This caller was more articulate, though not much, and I was able to understand that it was the law offices of Shawn Wood and that I needed to contact them immediately about a personal matter and that I owed money and if I wanted to stay out of court I would call them, and on and on and on.

I just received a call on my cell phone from these people and also they called me at work. They have been told NOT to call me at work and if they were a legit law firm then they would know they are not allowed to call you at work

maybe if you learned how to spell and speak English that would help but if I didn't know better I would have to say you are part of this scam and any American person with a brain knows not to give there personal information to a bunch of idiots who change there phone numbers and names more then I change my underwear and by the way a friend of mine is an attorney in Ohio and has a book with every attorneys name in the USA and there is no Shawn Woods listed so watch they are coming for you the FBI, CIA AND HOMELAND SECURITY!!!!

They're calling saying that I owe on a loan and that if I don't pay I am going to go to jail. The thing is I don't owe on any loan.

THIS NUMBER CALLS ME SEVERAL TIMES AND THEY HANG UP WHEN I ANSWER. I CALLED THE NUMBER BACK AND IT SOUNDS LIKE NIGERIA. THEY SAY I OWE MONEY FOR AN INTERNET LOAN WHICH I HAVE NEVER RECEIVED. PROBABLY A SCAM AND THEY NEED TO LEARN PEOPLE ARE NOT GIVING OUT PERSONAL INFO ON THE PHONE TO ANYONE.

Thank you Cin68 I knew this is a Scam this # keep calling me I didn't answer, I was @ work and look at the # and google it don't exist, by the way this girl with a Accent, still call me I answer  today and told her send me a letter about this payday loan I don't own them, well she send it by E-mail I don't how, That letter got some error in typing got the  wrong address  i have to laugh she think Im a fool.

I received a phone call at work this morning from Jack Douglas from "The Law Office of Shawn Woods".  He said that a case has been filed against my name and social security number.  I informed him that I know about these internet scams being that I get hundreds a week.  I informed him that if he did not stop and persues to harrass me either at work or my cell, I will have them prosecuted.  Also, if you call your local law enforcement, ask them if they have a Harrassment Hotline number you can give out to deter these calls.  It also works for me.

I GET THE SAME AS THE REST OF THESE GUYS THEY LEAVE A MESSAGE AND SAY THERE NAME BUT CANT UNDER STAND THE GUYS NAME. I DONT CALL THEM BACK CAUSE ALL THEY WANT IS MY MONEY. tHEY ARE NOT GETTING A CENT OUT OF ME. I ASK A SHARFF ABOUT IT AND HE TOLD ME CALL THE LOCAL PD AND WRITE TO THE BETTER BUSSENSS BUEAL. You should take care for all these things.. Never disclose any personal or financial details. If they tell you can ask them to meet you or you can ask their address.

These people calls from INDIA - Ahemdabad / PAKISTAN. You can just tell that you are from FBI and see their reactions

They sent me a fake letter saying they would settle a payday loan. They will never see a dime.

Wanted me to pay them money for 300 for some loan they would not even send me proof of any loan.

Fyi this is a fake law office.  I called the New York Bar Office... Here is a link to check if a law office is official or if they are a ruse.  http://iapps.courts.state.ny.us/attorney/AttorneySearch#search_result  This Shawn Woods or Sean Woods is not listed.  There is no Woods in New York thus far.  Also, I called back using an Indian like them and extracted the address 101 New York Avenue Brooklyn Ny 11207 and there is nothing in that area as to being a law offices.  Ask for a license number or look them up!  They can purchase a phone line and link it to any state.  If you go to a third party website to apply for a payday loan your information is then forwarded to almost anybody and that is how some people are getting this info.  I have placed a fraud alert on my credit and keep an eye on my checking account since these a***oles have it all.  It is amazing during this booming information age we have such an increase in theft by deception or fraud.  Best of luck, my suggestion would be block these calls and forget about it.  Nobody can arrest you for non payment of bills and if legit, they can report your credit, garnish your wages (Keeping in mind you must have been contacted and given tangible information before they can take action and it takes time.)  I placed these jerks on Call Blocker Extreme and when they call they get a HIGH PITCH SCREAM!!!  From that program!! This is my recourse and life goes on!!

Keep in mind that no bill collector can threaten you and they must send a bill and make attempts to collect a debt before they can seek legal action.  Additionally, the most they can do is collect your amount due -- by wage garnishment or file on your credit report.  You cannot get arrested.  I had this take place before and what I do is call block these idiots!!!  You know when some person with a heave accent is calling and they cannot pronounce the name of the company then you know its a fake.  Block them and don't feed into it and pass on the word to help others!!!

I also got a call today from that guy and then on the message he tells me not to discuss this information with anyone else.  He said he was Shawn Woods Law Offices. I am just going to block this number.
