This number did the same thing, he texted me saying he wanted to by my car and to take my car off CL and would give me an extra $100.00 and wanted my paypal address.  Said he would have his shipping people come pick up the car.  I thought it sounded really fishy so I ignored it and he kept texting me.

I had this happen to me before, but with an email account.  He is definitely a scammer.  Same as everyone elses response he gave me the same story.  I hate this, posting on cragslist can be such a good tool.

This person also wanted to scam me. Pay-Pal offer.  Long message in 1/3 .  NY phone...

Smae here, we have a car on craigslist and he is wanting to send funds thru pay pal. he is a persistant piece of sh*t.  I hope no one will fall this kind of scammer.  You would think he could get into trouble by saying he is a MARINE.  I hope he/she gets caught quickly. I am so sick of these scammers, if they aren't doing it by a text they are doing it by email.  REALLY!!!!!!!

I was selling a car on CL. Tried to scam me to pay for my car with PayPal....  Real Scammer!!!!!

I tried to sell my car on cl, he offered to give me an additional $ 200. More for the amount thst I wad selling my car. Kept insisting for me to transfer $750. Through western union and he/she had the amount in full thogh pp. Be aware he is a fraudulant person states he is a marine officer. Luckily I did my resarch and call the Cleveland Ohio police station. Be aware of these people its fraud

Its a scammer he try to buy my truck from craiglist using his paypal, so beware dont make deals without cash

Trying to sell rim son CL - just got a text from this dude.  Not gonna reply.  They "======" between asking and the subject gave it away.

Just received the same speech ,he wanted to give me 200$  more and have someone else pick them up after i received a payment through PayPal.. It sounded wired so I googled the number..thank goodness for sites like these, so many people are taken advantage of and it is sad !  People like this should be beat down ! I can't stand a thief and to say he is part of our Military is a disgrace to our country! Someone catch this crook !

Guy tried the same s****y scam with me on craigslist.  My wife works for the Feds here in California!!!!!!  Senior Fraud Investigator in the Central Valley.

-She is going to do her best to cause some major issues for him/her.   She said she can at least get his taxes audited this year no problem. Hope he has all of his tax s*** in order, my wife is a tiger when it comes to this stuff. I have heard some great stories!!!  

He gave the marine excuse as well.  If i can get my wife to give me his address, I will post it up here later today!

Tried the same deal with me. I was trying to sell my boat.
He actually sent me a fake PayPal email saying funds were transferred.
Said he put in extra money so I could pay his transport agent.
Definitely a scammer.

likewise, i tried to sell a cell phone on Craigslist. He tried to "buy" it via paypal. Such a scam. BEWARE!

this no ask me if i still have my cell for sale and want me to ship.
because he cant pick it up hes in the marine training total B.S and scammer.

Tried to rip me off on Craiglist via Paypal with a deal involving auto parts

Told me some wild story about being a photographer who wanted said items for his son and wanted them ASAP but would only attempt to deal via PP

Owner of this number was trying to perform a real estate purchase via text message.  Wanted my Paypal information to send his funds.  I texted back to him no real purchase can be completed without a signed Purchase Contract and escrow company.  User kept insisting the purchase be performed through Paypal.  He represented himself as a Active Duty Marine on deployment.  Told him to contact his Commanding Office or the Judge Advocates Office to enlighten him.  Kept insisting on using PayPal.  I will just ignore future contacts from this number.  Probably a scammer.
