Total Scam Artist ? Google his name and company, now into BBQ sauce. He and his wife have been ripping people off for years with $199.95, OUTDATED, software you can get on Amazon for $10. His company says your ?student expressed interest?. Playing on parents that want to do right by their kids, and then he won?t refund your money. If your credit card company wont help you, then report his business practices to the California Attorney General. Stay away from his BBQ sauce too, he had ripped people off for years to get the money to get it going.
Testprepservices.org owned by Ira Pupko also owns Hog http://hogheavenbbqco.com/ phone number 619-453-5330 855.4.HOGHEAVEN 44789 Mumm St. Temecula, CA 92592 Hog Heaven BBQ Sauce https://www.facebook.com/HogHeavenSauces

I received the typical sales call from a woman that asked for my wife...didn't know her first name. She then told me that I would do and that she was calling regarding my son in high school (my daughter has a name used by boys and girls.) When I asked who she was with or what the call was about, she hung up on me.
As many of you know, this is a ACT test prep company in California run by Ira and Lilia Pupko of 44789 Mumm Street, Temecula, CA. And, they have a long history of complaints and scams. They never answer their phones...But, since Ira is more interested in selling his Hog Heaven BBQ Sauce, you can reach him there at 855-446-4432. You might consider calling them at about 3AM to asked to be removed from their list.

This number calls my house multiple times a week, saying its a program for the PSATS and my child was signed up at a "college fair" (this never happened.) Once I looked it up i realized it was a total scam. Shows up as "Ira Pupko." Total scam.

This number calls repeatedly - sometimes 3 to 4 times a day even though I am on the Federal Gov't Do Not Call list. Filed a formal complaint.

Thank you for the post. I was able to call 888-572-8228 and leave a message. My call was returned within an hour (the 866-493-7224 showed on our caller ID). I have been assured by Patrick that my number will not be called by them in the future. Cross your fingers!

I've getting calls from this number and tired of it; when picking up the phone the other end would hang up. From what I've been reading it all started when my daughter took the ACT test last year and somehow our home number got "sold" to spammers.

Attention sellers and telemarketers: Go to https://telemarketing.donotcall.gov to subscribe to the National Do Not Call Registry.

If you were a legitimate company, then you would take the time to look up phone numbers to find out if they have their number registered on the do not call list. I am sick of scammers and telemarketers calling my numbers when I am registered with the DO NOT CALL list. I file a complaint everytime one of you idiots call. Hopefully, these business' will either starting getting fined or shut down.

This number has been auto-dialing me every 60-90 minutes for two weeks straight.
Even when you pick up there is nobody there since thier autodioaler is not working properly.
I am on the DNC list and these people should be fined.

I just got a call from these folks. When I explained that I wasn't interested in their product the woman called me an idiot and hung up on me. I have two college degrees and she is a telemarketer... who do you think the idiot really is (rhetorical question... sorry) I did a *69 and got their phone number and tried to call back but the number does not take incoming calls. I read an earlier post about filing a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) and I did just that and you can too. Here is the FTC's web address. To file a complaint click the link on the right https://www.ftccomplaintassistant.gov/

I have also been getting their calls. Ironically, I "interviewed" with Kristi Whit. It was a group phone interview but it appeared that everyone that could breath to an email was invited to a second interview. Some people at the first interview were dumber than a bag of rocks. They send a bunch of forms that had to be signed and returned before the second interview. They get your child's name because your child checked a box when they took the SAT/PSAT. This probably gets them around any do not call lists. We were told to answer questions honestly if the right questions were asked but to imply that we were affiliated with the College Board. They really want you to sign up for the scholarship service since that is a recurring charge. If you take the "job" they give you dialing software that you use from your computer. it automatically selects the next number in a queue so that calls are made from 9 to 9 in your local time zone. All information here was as of 2009 so it could have changed.

These people call me at least 4 times a day, every day! I never answer thanks to caller ID and they never leave a message. It is frustrating for me because I am on the national do not call list and work 3rd shift. They are constantly disturbing my sleep. Enough already, can't someone stop this madness?
DH 2011-06-06 21:02:12 Unknown
These people called and asked about our son and the ACT or SAT and after some give and take they hung up. Why did they call and what did they want....
Elena 2011-06-06 21:02:12 Unknown
866-493-7224 shown as "Toll Free". They call to sell SAT/ACT CD Rom for $230 and originally state their name to be "SAT Prep Center".
Actual company is: Test Prep Services phone # 888-572-8228 located at 1756 Dobell Street, Perris, CA 92571. Website: Testprepservices.org.
I have submitted a claim with the National Do Not Call registry and the FTC Federal Trade Commission at 877-382-4357. The more complaints they receive the sooner it will stop them.
I also called the company at 888-572-8228 and left a long voicemail message with my complaint and reiterated my request to remove me from all marketing list. I received a call back the same day from Edward with an apology with the assurance that they will not be calling me again.
Smokey 2011-06-06 21:02:12 Unknown
This is a scam where the criminals try to sell ACT "prep materials". Our neighbors unfortunately got taken in by this.
Nicky 2011-06-06 21:02:12 Unknown
It's just sad that you can attempt to justify your way of making a living by out right lying to parents and misrepresenting yourself as an "educational counselor" when your really just a telemarketer. Just be honest with yourself or that's too hard... take a look TestPrep Services.org rating with the Better Business Bureau. They consistently have a a 'F RATING' and that is obtained from consumers complaints that are investigated by the non-biased, consumer protection agency. Enough of Ira and his lies.....are you under the spell of Ira?
dewdad 2011-06-06 21:02:12 Unknown
