The fact that he asked for your paypal info doesn't mean it's a scam.
I've successfully done plenty of business through paypal.
However this man doesn't use paypal. Instead he sends you a fake email saying you need to ship whatever it is he's "buying" and paypal requires the tracking number for you to get your money.
Yes, he is a scammer, but don't associate paypal with internet fraud. Always make sure you get the money in your account BEFORE shipping anything.

He is a craigslist scammer. He will try to get you to join PayPal and make you ship off an item without actually paying. He tries to fool people by sending a fake payment confirmation email that ends up in your spam folder. He leads you to believe that once you give him the tracking number of the shipment he will let you access the funds. PayPal does not work like so. You simply receive money or send or donate, etc. Forward his emails to spoof@paypal.com for termination of his accounts. He has several and almost scammed me out of a $650 phone and accessories. Please send me any info on this phone at WhiteXD5@gmail.com. I have tracked his location to Nigeria but there is no confirmation of his actual address. He uses random addresses in Nigeria to collect his free merchandise from craigslist
