You are aware of the illegality of calling personal mobile devices once they are registered on the National Do Not Call List, aren't you? Are your employees informed not to hang up on your said "potential investors" once they are asked to be placed on your company's 'Do not call' list? Your level of scam intelligence far outweighs your common sense.
Everyone with half a brain can tell you're con artists.
My advice to all - HANG UP

They call constantly spelling our CEO's name wrong in the dial directory and getting me instead. They have age old info on our company referring to a segment of out business that was sold off years ago. I understand its cold calling but when you get blown off more than once it's time to let go.

Jerry is very impatient. He claims that he really needs to speak to the owner, that he is returning a call (which he is not), that it's very important, etc. Then, when all else fails, he says, "Oh my god..." and hangs up on me. Very professional.

Despite what is stated above, they will keep calling.  They don't get the message that you're not willing to invest.  They're like sharks smelling blood. He has been hounding me for many months making all attempts to get money to invest and "prove that he'll make you money."  He recommend Groupon which promptly started its decline.  When I confronted him about the Groupon recommendation, he responded "that wasn't me, that must have been another guy here." <What a dufus.>  No matter what you say, he ignores you and continues on a relentess path of getting money until you hang up.  The calls come in either as unknown or on my office phone, it shows my number on caller ID.  I asked him to send a package with the forms for me to review; he stated several times that FEDEX was in mail -- I'm still waiting on that package.  He also took my email address and other info.  It must be too much work also to get information and forms sent out via email.

For the past few months, I've been avoiding the calls and he doesn't leave a message.  Finally I took a call and hung up.  This started the amusement.  He called back and despite his unstoppable talking I stated that since he is unable to listen to me now, why would I trust him to listen to me later. He continued over talking upon which I hung up.  Then, he bombarded my phone with numerous call backs.  I was even getting calls on 2 phones at once, including one on the Do Not Call list.

Don't invest.  They won't listen now.  What makes you think they'll listen later.

Jack*** calling here asking for the CEO butchering his name in the process.  Told him  he was unavailable, asked if I could take a message.  The jack*** asked when the CEO would be available, I said it is hit and miss, can I take a message?  "Can I have his cell number?"  I just about went off on the a** hole, but simply repeated that the CEO was unavailable, can I take a message.  "No, I'll just try back," with a flippant attitude.  With that type of attitude, no one at that company will never get past this gate keeper or his assistant. Ever.

lmao you tried looking my name up? very nice.
the only one here that is pissed off is you. so what you get calls about stock tips? I don't know about you ,but your very rude,so you can't have a convo with out being rude to anyone & me.
if you don't want to invest with anyone all you have to say to the broker or brokers  is I don't want to invest. they won't call anymore. I read all them commments & I'm like wow! it's just a phone call. relax.
if you think you can invest & do well with out a broker, fine go ahead ,there are places where you can buy stocks & trade such as Etrade..
of couse I'm using a fictitious name it's a play on words of my real name only an idiot would use his her real name. I've been in sales my whole life investments, insurance etc etc etc,but this isnt about me .

false dude , face book is dead in the water it's never going to be a great investment.only a dummy would of bought face book on that day went long & lost. the pros shorted it & made money.
I've made tons of money over the years for myself & for my clients I don't need brokers.

you need to work on your attitude ,cause you sound like an angry man who lost all his money in the market & now has nothing better to do then sit on line posting comments about companies that call you.
get it together dude ,no body has a gun to your head saying you better invest with us. them brokers who call make no money they straight commission in most cases are 1099 ,so they don't qualify for unemployment benefits when they get laid off . they work next to nothing as trainees. investment firms are greedy,so they will use the trainees to cold call for them ,& suck them dry only to burn them out. you would get burned out fast if you had to make 300.400 calls per day & only make a few connects.only a small percentage of trainees become brokers most leave the bussiness after 4 years if they make it at all.
all them anti broker anti telemarketer comments posting here have no idea what it's like to do sales for a living,so they sit here typing this anti jive from the comfort desk of their job. I am sure most commenting here are sectaries making a salary for doing next to nothing.
try sales work for a few days before posting anti telemarketer comments.

my original comment was about giving the brokers a chance ,& have a convo, & see what you get out of it. if it doesnt make sense ,fine then dont invest. the anti callers who post on here make things harder for themselves. a seasoned broker who does call will only call an investor 1 or 2 times for the first time,  that's it. seasoned investor wont be commenting on here, cause they have better things to do. Investors tend to have emotional intelligence & have a professional mind set. the ones on here commenting don't.
you sound like the ladder end of this. even your handle is combative.
Get it together dude.

Tell us where you work so we can avoid that company. You need some education. And, maybe you can't spell your own name since there is no sal margiotta registered with FINRA. Maybe you are using a fictitious name; look up what that means. Or maybe you never had a license.

True, FB was a bad investment at $38, but was a great investment at $28. It will be in the 100s in the next few years.

folks why are you so upset?take it easy.listen I used to work at EJ sterlings most of the brokers that work there are pretty good guys with lots of exp & qualifications I know Robert costomirris for example,& many others; they arent shady they can make you money in this market.I know everyone there, but there are some brokers with more exp then others;they just starting out for god sake everyone gotta start somewhere right.? As I said I used to work there, but I gave up, cause it's hard to make money as a trainee.cold caller ,cause you guys bust my chops lol,so I didnt think I could do it,cause it's hard work tying to make a career out of this this ,so I left, cause I chickened out Bottom line do you folks have any idea how hard it is to do this kind of work 12 /15 hours per day cold calling everyday? you guys have no clue.we call you with an idea ,& you tell us get lost.,so try doing our job ,but you couldnt handle 8 hours for 1 /2 days.
only reason I commented on here is cause I couldnt find the company on FINRA's list ,so thought they went out of bussiness.guess they didnt.

Bottom line folks
EJ sterling isn't a bad investment firm. I see folks posting bad comments. maybe it's cause you are pissed off at the cold callers;they annoy you,but if given a chance, the real top brokers at the firm who will handle your money can make make you money..this isnt a piker company .I know from the inside there are no pikers at this company..they can make you money as I said.listen, give them a shot ,start out with 3k. what do you have to lose?

face it the econ isn't in that great of a shape ;your money is sitting in the bank at zero interest,so your not making any money,so why not give the company a shot? you can still make money even if the market goes down few 100 points or goes up a few 100 points,so it's still win win for you.they have strategies for you which can make you more money then what your currently making off your money sitting in the bank at zero interest which is no money at all.I think most of you leaving comments are receptionists.my question to you is have you ever thought G maybe your boss might be interested in what we have to say? Give it a shot ,see what you get out of it after al it's just a phone call.

btw facebook is a dumb investment ,so I'm sure no body at the firm would promote face book stock.

Caller said he was calling from EJ Sterling.  He claimed to be returning a call from our CEO.  I offered to take down his name and callback number to pass along to said CEO, and the caller demanded that I give him the CEO's cell phone number.  When I again offered to take the caller's information and deliver a message, he got quite angry, insulted me, and then exclaimed, "This is no way to live!"

I have about 60 numbers in my phoine marked as ignore & that's exactly what I do. They eventually go away only to come back a year later and/or be replaced byt he next a**.
BTW, what idiot would invest any money with some moron cold calling you??? Really? I explained that to one very polite oil & gas company here in Dallas and he agreed with my viewpoint.

646-532-2400 is EJ Sterling Inc., which seems to be a "Boiler Room" stock-selling operation. If you get a call from this number, it's almost certainly someone trying to get you to buy shares of stock.

Caller asked to speak to the CEO, claimed to be a Financial Analyst with EJ Sterling.  When I asked for his number, he gave me his home office number, not the number he was calling from.  I believe that anyone with a serious business intent will have done his/her homework and would know the name of the CEO of a company when cold-calling.
