I got same email wrote him back telling him what a F****** idiot he was. no states attorney would ever email you and tell you you have a arrest warrant then offer to settle for cash, if you have a warrant you will be arrested, then once you goto court the court would determine the fine and payback to the entity for the offense, what a idiot :) I feel so sorry for anyone that falls for this, ad I am sure he is not even in the USA or else they would of found him by now, because i have heard people have fallen for this scam and sent him money then reported him to authorities trying to get there money back, if he was in the US they would opf tracked the money transfer path by now, and will catch him one day. He emails you or calls you have a good laugh or feel free to play with him for a bit make him think hes getting some money find out how and where to send it then hand that info over to your local authority. Offer to bring him cash in person :) then use your imagination.

I received an email from Mike Anderson saying I was being served with an arrest warrant on check fraud. He told me to contact him asap because he could help me out before the case goes to court. How ludacris that sounded to me. If anyone receives any email or phone call from this idiot please report it to your local authorities.

Email is not the legally accepted way to send a court summons, let alone an arrest warrant!  Debt is civil, not criminal, so there wouldn't be an arrest warrant anyway.  Glad you didn't fall for the scam!

I got an email today 03/13/14. Pretty much like the one listed above. The spelling is incorrect, not in legal terms, and letters that should of be capitalized are NOT. Therefore it will not receive a response from me. Here's my problem. If I am supposed to be served ANY kinds of papers from a court. I will be served, and they will NOT call me to verify if my address is correct or if my phone number is accurate. I will simply be served. It's just that simple. Now it had the attached notice of arrest. Last time I checked, I can not be arrested for a debt! I truly believe these people bank on someone being gullible enough to fall for this. They just like the other scammers going around will not get a response from me. If your going to be served, you will be served. There's no verification process before hand. Also note...You are sent a letter in advance letting you know if you have an account that is headed towards garnishment procedures. Be wise and not scared people!

I got an email from this Mark Anderson, with New York Attorney General Office, stating I had an arrest warrant for check fraud. I had this happen before, with another guy, claiming the same thing, and he called my job over 400 times in 1 day. I almost lost my job, that's what he means when he says this can affect your job. No one will send an arrest warrant through email. I was kinda scared when I first read this email, but I'm very glad this website it here, and others have noted this call. I too have called ths local Sheriff's Office, and reported this.

he emailed me today. FIRST OF ALL I HAVE REPORTED HIM TO IC3.GOV AND TO THE LOCAL SHERIFFS OFFICE FOR STARTERS. and this is not the first time he has been turned in either, sent to state attorney generals no fbi, ftc via letter.
He is a scam artist that up until today, has used the phone to scam, he goes by mike anderson, micheal anderson, all attorneys and now is impersonating a federal officer as mike j anderson. i also believe that he has called by other names as well and other phone numbers spoofed and voip numbers.
i realized he was attempting to scam for the following reasons
1.  too heavy an accent
2. telephone area code did not sync with ny area codes
3.  letter says court case has not been heard yet, but sent color arrest warrant before case and sent email.
4.  i do not nor have i had any payday loans as they are illegal in this state without pa banking commission license/registration
5. courts use couriers, servers, constables and sheriffs to hand deliver summons etc including warrants.
6. called and got him on phone at 846 am, most attorneys open and take calls from 9 am on- just like doctors
7.  email account is aol, if it was legitamate, it would have come from a .gov address.
