This guy said he was with Visa credit services, and could give me a new interest rate, I told him to ttake my number out of his list and not call again, he argued with me, he sounded East Indian, it sounded like he was outside from the background noise.  

Heavy accented man calling regarding my Visa Credit card....funny I don't have one :P .....Hang up and tell everyone you know about these scammers.  

Receieved two messages from this number saying that it was an urgent matter. When I returned the call the first time he answered to phone as Cox Corporation but our connection must not have been good because he couldn't hear me. I called back and he answered as Pay Day Corporation. I gave him my name and then he says that this is a Law Firm and that there is an affidavit filed and the case will be held on Monday and that if I don't pay then they will come to my work and arrest me on Monday. Woudn't tell me what the case was about though. I hung up and called the local police dept. and they said it was a scam. DON'T pay them anything.

This is a scam....these idiots call from various numbers claiming you owe money on a pay day loan.  DO NOT provide personal information....Let them know that you are completely aware of who they are and that you filed a claim with the FTC.  Best thing to do is ignore them or change your phone number!

A person called say if I didn't contact them back may God bless me.  His name was bob harris and they needed my attorneys information. I have contacted the police. Mind u I'm all the way in the south not new York.

This is the DanburynPolice Department.  I received complainants from people who had been called by this number demanding money.  I contacted them and they refused to identify themselves or give me an address.  It is a scam

I got a threatening call from this number & when I called it back I got a standard voice mail greeting prompting me to leave a message.  I did & then decided to look this up on the internet!  I found out many people recieve these calls & it's bogus!  Don't fall for it!

Same as all the other people, except the man has my SSN!!! I'm very scared! I never took out a loan at all, and I'm just sacred he is going to steal my identity.

I have dealt with "Roger" and "Jason Fox" at this number. Roger says it's Cox Inc (a conveniently ambiguous name...as are the American names these scammers use). When I received a threatening voice mail message, I could hear others in the background leaving the exact same message to others! Bottom line...NEVER give (or confirm) information over the phone. File an Identity Theft complaint with the FTC and your state's Attorney General's office. The phone numbers are fake and purchased by bulk from major phone companies. The numbers can't be tracked because the phone companies won't demand verifiable information and most of the numbers are actually attached to phones located in the West Indies...most likely the Bahamas where there is little financial regulation. If they have your bank info, talk to the bank manager about the ID theft and close your account. Tell your phone company the same thing and they may wave the phone number changing fee. Once you get a file number with the FTC complaint, make sure your local police department has it too.

If enough people put pressure on their State Representatives, we can gets laws to force phone companies to verify the phone numbers sales and put a stop to the scamming. It's sad to think how many people pay these criminals because they are scared and don't know any better.

said name was stephen johnson sure and my name is george bush accent from middle east wants money urgent matter of internet fraud this guy is nuts i called and couldn't find any credible info on hin so forget it

This number is suppose to be from Pay Day USA P.O. Box 39755, San Fancisco, CA. this number was  given to me by a Brian Johnson fro;m number 646-736-0577 Cox Inc Manhattan, New :York. who else!

I received a call from Brian Johnson 646-736-0577 and was told that a lawyer named  Jeff Miller of cox inc. wanted to talk with me. Once , he got on the phone, he said he was not a lawyer. he said that I had taken out a loan and on Tuesday the courts would have someone come pick me up. He said the loan was from PayDay USA, P.O. Box 39755 Boredin, San Francisco, CA  with the number 415-691-4346. This is not the first time I have received these kind of calls. What can we do?

Hey I've been having the same thing happen to me. It was a couple of months ago and they said it was for a pay day loan - I've never had a pay day loan in my life. Now they won't say what it's about but if they call me at work I will be making a trip to wherever this person is located!!!! I'm so sick of these people calling me 5 and 6 times a day.

I keep getting calls from this number! The voice sounds EXACTLY like someone who called me a months ago about a PayDay loan that I have never had....They are calling me at work now too...I can't underestand the individual and have asked them to spell the name of the "attorney" and they won't. I ask for a mailing address or some type of identity from them...and the are not allowed to provide this.....Anyone else???
