This number is from a classic scammer using fake emails , there is a YouTube video on this scammer

This same number contacted me about a necklace I was selling on kijiji was almost secessful until Canada post informed me about this scam this clown said he was from saint john n.b but when I checked the area code its from Manhattan new York is like to find these clowns then they would know the repercussions of their actions

The minute I reposted my add for a camera and lenses this same a***ole tried to have me open a paypal account so I could send the camera to his "son" in Lethbridge. Some time ago I was led down the garden path by another fraud and when I followed the PayPal link on his email it led to an anonymous email provider. Paypal does not require anaymous email providers to set up accounts.  beware of anyone who offers you extra money to ship items! beware of anyone from areas along way from your location .... shipping costs are often huge and not practical. I have been approached several times buy fraudulant buyers now. They seem to
often be the firest response to a newly posted add.  I have sold numerous items on Kijiji and it is a great resourse but if you have any ill feelings towards a response to your add pay attention to you gut feeling and stay clear of the fraudsters

Just put up an add in kijiji and literally 5 minutes later i received a text (3235929329) asking if the item was still for sale. Got me all worked up for nothing. Someone needs to put this guy in jail. His info was name: cole lil smith address: No1 mogaji street postal code 23401 city: surulere state/province: ijeshatedo nigeria. Their use of God references is annoying. Eg: God bless you etc. He also got me to send his so called wife some pics of the product of which I did but this whole thing worries me. What did he get if anything. Hoping I dodged a bullit on that little scam. What a loser.

I did the same thing and the same number contacted me, asking me to go on paypal and I said the same thing, but I went onto paypal and he sent me a fake email with a total that was higher that my asking price. I contacted paypal and sent them a copy of the email and number and they told me it was fraud. I then contacted ic3.gov to report the crime and am now waiting for them to email me back. this guy must be stopped.

Its a scam! They texted me from 3 different numbers after I would not reply to there others texts!
They must think im dumb they all wanted the same thing my emaol

Sellers beware of this guy!!! Tries to get you to send goods to his son in California. Total scam with a fake PayPal account. I caught on early enough to not lose the bag I was selling on Craigslist and was also to get the USPS and police involved.

I knew this was a scam when it was not a local number. Then he wanted to know my pay pal info. No thanks!

I posted my 17-55 lens for sale and i got the same text same request.. I immediately told him no only cash and meet in person and he just texted again insisting for me to get a paypal first text already sent me a red flag. 1-646-770-2564 where can we report this?

Jesse h posted ~2 weeks ago and is unlikely to see your reply. The dead giveaway is the overpayment amount. You ask for £135, he sends £480, and somewhere along the scam, you will be asked to refund £(480-135-postage). The refund you send him is YOUR OWN REAL money but the £480 payment will come up FAKE. You will lose £(480-135-postage) and perhaps your item if you did send it. This overpayment scam can be used for anything -- car, pet, tickets, whatever.

I then got an email from Paypal pretty much the same you would normally see from them but from an email address (postage_representative@im.com) and for £400 + £80 postage!!!!!!  It said I would receive payment once I sent them the tracking number which I pretended to do and then received another email asking for the tracking receipt.  In the meantime I've had other emails from this Lynne asking what's going on?

How did you gather it was a fake transaction?

I received a text for an add on kijij looking to buy my camera. Wanted me to ship it to Nigeria while they try to pay me using PayPal and email money transfer. Everything is fake I know they just want to rip me off.
