Every time you get a text message for an item you posted on a site like craig list, kijiji in Canada, it is always some funny guy trying to have you send to him the item without paying you. I often play with them and finish with a few "nice" words. If more and more people ignore them or waste a bit of their time, maybe they will stop trying to scam us?. The number is a gmail number i think. I tried to call the guy but no answer.

Exact same issue

I received a text with the same issue.  He said that he needed the iPhone that I was selling for his son and that he needed to be sent right away.  He asked that I send it to get to him by Saturday.  He must have of sent over 30 text messages over a two day stretch.  Monday morning when I was going to send it he kept textig right up to the point when I was at the post office.  He also asked for a Laptop which yes I did have and told him willing to sell that too.  He asked that I send both items together.  
The Post Office Clerk 'saved' me in this whole ordeal.  The clerk told me it was a scam and when I send it I would have no way to get it back.  
The guy sent a boggies email from Paypal that the funds were on hold and that I would need to send a confirmation number to an unknown email to get my money.
I didn't send my merchandise.  I was saved by the Post Office Clerk.  Anyone else out there please be careful with this Scam and make others aware of it too.

I just got a text message from this number (1-646-801-4424) about my Iphone I am selling stating he is from Toronto, ON but is out of the country on a trip with his boss and wants the phone for his son and is willing to add another $150 for shipping, I kindly notified that the message will be forwarded to local law enforcment and he never replied, Maybe I should have played along and shipped him a box full of dog s***!

This number is a scam! Tried to get me to send a phone and give him tracking info and was very set on sending item with his fake payment transfer and called me a scammer and said he would report me to the fbi , idots like this gives americans a bad name because of crap like this! Btw he lives in New York!

This preson is a scanner. cheater I was trixed in to sending a phone to africa. They told me my money was posted to Paypal and sent me a web broser that said pay pal but was not it was fake. It said will be pending onceI sent traking#. It was a lie.
