Yup I just got a text that this person was "on set" and wanted my wedding dress that I posted on CL. Scam!

Same thing here! The "set designer" texted and wanted my wedding dress. Said it was "just ok for the audition." If you're going to scam someone, at least use better grammar!

I'm getting the same types of texts for the wedding dress I posted on craigslist. The most recent one was from this number. They're always out of town but so interested that they'll pay without seeing it and send someone to pick it up. Red flag: why would they be searching craigslist postings in other states? Completely annoying and a waste of time.  I'm ignoring these types of inquiries.

"Jennifer" wanted to buy my wedding dress off of craigslist.  Would send money order for extra amount & asked that I give the extra money to her 'carrier' when he picked it up.  
Not sure what this scam is but it doesn't make sense!

This number is also texting me about a stroller I have posted on cl in Denver. Stating they will mail me money orders, then send movers for the stroller. Which makes no sense bc It would be cheaper to just order it from the store & have the store ship it to them..

I recieved a text today she was on set and wanted to send money orders when i cashed then she would send a driver to retrive the dress, smelled scam all over thanks for the heads up people.

Just got a text.wanted my wedding dress.told me they send me a money order,and extra money to give his/her carrier.All they trying to do is get you to cash money orders.Its same thing as they ask you to cash stolen acount cheks,and if anything happens its on you.You do all the work and they get clean money.stay away!!!!!

This number keeps texting for a item i have on cl what is google doing about this people anoying us.

wanted my wedding dress on CL and said they would send money order and extra money for there sender and said she was a set designer...ok whatever!!!  ridiculous!

Just got the same thing.  Jennifer the 'set designer'.  I had a less polite response for whoever was on the other end.

Same happened with me. Jennifer, a set designer wants to send extra in money order for her movers for a stroller. Glad I searched the number

Got the same message for a lawnmower on Craigslist.  Money Order for more than the asking price and remainder to his movers.  I don't think so.  Good luck with that.

Selling something on craigslist Boston and have been receiving several text that they will buy my item and send me the money need my information and will also pay for shipping ect. bla bla bla.  Called number to see who it was and Google Voice mail picked up and forward call to caller voice mail to leave message.  
Do these reports of complaints that everyone is spending time reporting ever reach the FBI database for more investigation?

Gary wants my drum too and I think I might personally invite him over to pick them up for free.....well it might cost him an a** whipping!

Just received the same thing. we have 2 drum sets for sale on CL. they r wanting to send me a money order for more then the asking price and give the extra money to their movers. Very funny.

Yup, I had a drum set too. Same issue.

I've gotten two from the same number and I just sent my last response.

The usual scam...texted that he is "Gary" and saw my drum set on CL and what is my final price... I didn't even waste my time responding or "playing" with the scammer - too busy this week. The bottom line to anyone reading this is that if you post anything for sale on CL then don't take seriously ANY inquiry for your item unless it is a phone call from a real person who then meets with you in person and pays you in real cash. Any other scenario is most likely a scammer who will rip you off.
