Call from 646-805-7900, asking to verify company name. Wouldn't give any info. Verified company name and address, then they disconnected when being transfered to a Manager for refusing to provide a reason for the call.

Just received a call from (646) 805-7900. Does anybody know what that is about. They identified themselves as IBM.

Could you please send me an e-mail address where you can be reached ?

Same thing - calling from IBM.  I work for the company, and we don't do such a thing.  Definitely fraud.

I, too, just rec'd a suspicious call from the same number asking to verify my address and name.  I see you rec'd a similar call almost exactly a month ago.  Do you have any further info or any trouble you think may have been a result of this call?  Thanks for any follow up might have.

Got a similar call from a strongly-accented person. Said he needed to confirm my mailing address to send something from IBM.

He read off my name and address, but didn't ask for any additional info.

Person with a south asian accent called.  Claimed to be from IBM and needed to confirm some information.

Callerid  shows 646-805-7900 (Novatel).  This appears to be a calling card service and not the actual number of the caller.

Rec'd a ph call from a woman who could barely speak the language - English that is - at 11:42 AM, C.S.T. I checked the number on Google and it came up with "who owns this number?"

The woman sounded very suspicious - so I told the dummy at the other end to drop me off her junk phone call list. Stupid people everywhere you go.
