On January 16, 2014 at 656 a.m. (CST) I received a call from Mike Thompson aka Praveen that said he is from India whom is working in New York and is now working for National Auto Loans at telephone # 394-738-4720 [no such #] that was offering me an auto loan up to $40,000 with interest rate from 5%-7%.  My info had been gathered from my email id account and he was able to give me my mailing address and a lot of other personal pertinent info.  Upon asking for his company's address he hung up.  My telephone # is on the Do Not Call Registry and is not given out often.  I believe info is being gathered from inputting personal info on the internet. Crooks use clever schemes to defraud millions of people every year. Is this another guaranteed loan scam?

Thick Indian accent....asks for me by name and says my car loan has been approved...I think.  The accent is very difficult to get past.

Got a call from 646-807-2871; music was played for me, nobody talked.

I keep getting calls from several numbers. If I answer they hang up.

Just got a call from them about 9am est. They called back 40 minutes later while blocking their number in hopes of getting me to answer.

Just for everyone's information, the do not call list does not prohibit everyone who calls your phone from harassing you, companies actually have to request the DNC list from the government and chances are they aren't calling from New York. They're more likely call forwarding or spoofing their number.

Missed call at 9:31am, no message.  Also may be linked to a few other bogus numbers - some from Irvine, CA, and some that show a No Caller ID info tag.

Received missed call with no message. Called back and received recorded solicitation for Magic Jack. My number is registered on the Federal Do Not Call List, which appears to be useless.

Received another call today from this number. I did not answer and they do not leave a message. I, too, am on the do not call list!

I just reported them to the FCC online.  They called over 10 times in 4 hours and I told them the first few times they have the wrong person, stop calling and remove my number.  Then they hang up!

Let's have a little fun with them. When they call and ask you if you want a loan, ask them, "you want me to give you a lone?" Then when they deny your statement, and make their sales pitch, you say, "you want me to lend you $40,000? What are you going to use the money for and when will you pay me back?"  Keep up the play back and forth until they hang up or give you more information..  See it will be a lot of fun!  

Just like "Mel's" post from jan. 9, they call, no one speaks but u can hear lots of jumbled voices in the background,  then they disconnect.  5 calls just this afternoon.  Very annoying! Don't people have anything better to do than be dishonest?

I got these fools calling me now. Gotta love that "decline" button. I think I'll answer next time. Just to see what it's about.

This number keeps calling me also, but I don't answer them ... Just so harrasing to keep this phone ringing!!! Find these crooks and put them away please!!!

I don't think it's part of Target breach at all.  I rarely go to Target and I don't give out my cell phone to anyone.  Didn't answer it because it said New York.  Mystery is how they got my number.  Could be random calling.

Same as many others . Call at 6:40am. Hard to understand and sounds like crowded room. Sounded like he said "gas lawn company." Wondering if this is part of the target breach?

Just got a call and googled the number to see what's up..it just click answer on the phone wait till I hear something them click off...they'll get the message. I never answer a call I don't recognize the number...yup...I screen then.

I got 3 calls from this number this morning while I was at work.  They didn't leave a message so I just came on here to see who it was.  Thanks for the info.  I'm not answering the phone if they call again.  I also am on the do not call list.

I just had the same thing.  Called twice and no message.  Must be a telemarketer.  They called my cell phone too!

Is calling all night long and driving me crazy. How do we get them to stop?

Called me 3 times during the day, never left a message.  I returned the call and got a message from what I think was National Cash Advance.  Hard to tell with the thick Indian dialect.
