This board is simply a sounding board for people to vent and inform others of scam telemarketing calls they receive.  There is no authority associated with the 800notes site to stop these callers.  In order for people to collectively stop these type calls they must act together - and TAKE ACTION!  It doesn?t do any good to complain about a caller on this board unless you then take the next step and do something about it!  The caller ID number is usually a ?Spoof Number? ? A Fake!  Never, never, ever engage the caller or call back the number.  The false robocallers will then capture your number as a ?live one? and use it over and over and sell it to other scammers.  The same goes if it prompts you to ?press a key? to ?opt out?  of their calling lists, or be transferred to someone, as this will only ?log? your number as a working one and make it ripe for future calls and to be sold to other scam companies as well.
The best option is simply to hang up, keep your own list of calling numbers with dates and times and report them to the FCC below.  There is space on their complaint form to list several calling dates and times of a repeat caller.
The DO NOT CALL list is worthless, they do not act on anything, just build a database of numbers.
In order to do something to help stop these type calls, everyone - EVERYONE needs to file an online complaint directly with the FCC.  If they receive enough complaints about a particular number - they will act on it.  Do it today and pass along the info:

I keep getting calls from this number  When I pick up no one talks and it disconnects. If I don't answer, they don't leave messages
When I call back I got a fast busy signal or a recording that says the number is not in service

 First time we have seen this number. Number is now blocked on our phone.

Another call from these scam artists claiming to lower my electric bills,  You cannot call them back.  I immediately asked them to confirm they will put me on the Do Not Call list and they say "oh we can try you later" and hang up.

Caller ID said, "NY Utilities." When I answered the phone, a man said, "Good afternoon, I would like to speak to the person who handles the utilities." I said, "I handle the utilities." And he hung up.

This is the second call I've gotten this afternoon from these sleazebags. Next time, I'm writing to my state's attorney general.

This number keeps calling.  Sometime every couple hours and sometime every few minutes!  Tried calling the number back and states it has been disconnected!  

Really wish there was a way to block this number and report it.  Starting to cause a problem when we need to receive REAL calls!

Got 10 calls from these scum in the past two days. This is ridiculous, intrusive, and wrong. I don't live in NY and don't need their bull. STOP CALLING!!

I get about six calls a day.  ID shows NY Utilities. sounds like a robo-call.  By the time I answer, on second ring, the connection dies.  The caller doesn't leave a message.

They have been calling every couple of hours for the last few days. They demand to know about my electric bill and are very aggressive. They refuse when I ask them to put me on their do not call list.

So tired of phone calls from this number.  They've called at least 6 times just today!

These bottom feeders called me four times in the last couple of hours. It is a NY utility company that is a scam. I am sick of these calls and these creeps.
