Someone from this number has called at least 10 times in the past 3 hours on both my home phone and cellular. I can barely understand what he is saying - very thick indian accent. First call on my cellular I told him he had the wrong number and hung up, He called right back and I told him not to call my number again, after a couple of minutes of arguing with him about not calling me and having the wrong number, during which he wanted me to tell him who I was, I finally hung up. He called right back again and left a voice mail, of which I can understand very little.

OMG i'm so glad this is a scam because it was scaring me for a little bit like someone stole my identity yeah a Mark adams supposidly who is the attorney general for new york said i took out an online payday loan and i commited internet fraud and theres  several cases against my social security number he told me i had to pay him right then three hundred dollars and he has called me several times and also my job and started saying sexual things to my boss!! he has a very thick accent and starts yelling when i tell him i didnt' not get a payday loan well atleast now i'know it's a scam and i can really cus him out next time he calls he called this morning twice freakin peice of s***

ask for there state bar code.

ASK FOR THERE STATE BAR CODE . EACH LEGAL LAWYER WILL HAVE A BAR CODE THAT YOU CAN LOOK UP FOR VERIFICATION.

any time some one calls and says that there a law firm or a attorney you ask for there STATE BAR CODE IF THEY GIVE YOU THE RUN AROUND THEY ARE NOT WHO THEY SAY THEY ARE.

I just received my like 60th call from the number 646.873.6734, he claimed he was Mark Adams with New York Superior Court. My bf answered for me as I knew right away who it was (they have called from several other numbers which I will also list) and he told them that this is now his phone. The man then said "if you are lying, we will find out by checking your call records", at this point, my bf flipped and the man ended up hanging up. He did have a very thick accent, he has also gone by Justin Gabriel and a couple other names. It may be different people, but I don't know, they all have accents like they are from India and are VERY hard to understand. They have told me in vmails that they will come to my work, that if I get fired it is not their problem. They also have said "God Bless & Good Luck". Weirdd. Anyways, after reading this site I don't know if I should let it get to me too much anymore. I am in my early 20s, so I don't quite understand how scams & things like that work as I haven't experienced it too much yet but these calls are definitely scaring me. They have also said I will go to jail, I will be sued, I will be fined, and they have contacted my bf on his actual cell & my room mate which is even more creepier. I guess I will wait it out and read more on this site, as well as hoping that the calls will stop.

Says his name is Rick Thompson... But his english is the worst I have heard in my life he draws out the words kind of like he has a major speach defect like cotton stuffed in his mouth but it is just his heavy Indian Accent. This jerk, whom will not get me directly stated he has called numerous times and I have not taken his calls.. Thank god for the cell phone rejection list. Today he called at 6 am research shows this is a Cingular wireless # in New York area of the world.. HMMM could we please stop being an idiot and leave the hard working american people alone?
He says there are serious alligations against my social security # and if I do not take care of the issue soon he will be forced to start legal proceedings in my local area. My Social security # will be black balled..
Whatever, SCAMMER.. do not give money.. it is illegal for them to threaten you even if they are legit. and once you tell them no and I will see u in court you should not hear from them. File complaints with the local FCC and WTC and the local Attorney general office. Im tempted to contact Rick Thompson attorney in new york and tell him he is being used in an unlawful way.. all I have is my voice mail on my phone..

i have received another couple of calls from this guy/number giving me the same ran round.  You owe this amount of money and if you dont pay you will have to pay additional court fees, attny fees and everything in between.  Be careful.  They are stating that they are from the New York Attny General's Office.  Which I have called and stated that these people do not work for them.

I have recieved SERVERAL phone calls from this number stating they are an attorney or a officer of the law and I better call back or they are going to arrest me... yada yada yada. I have asked them to stop calling me several times but it never stops. TOTAL SCAM. They tried to say I took a payday loan out in June of 2009 and they just want to be paid back. Then they give me the IP address I used, then I just laughed because it is the IP address from my new job that I started in Feb 2010. I have asked for a fax number so I can send a statement (of course with important info blacked out) to prove that I never received funds. They wouldn't give me one. The guy even asked me if I would pay the money or fight him and I told him I would fight him and he said you would spend thousands on an attorney then pay him the money that I owed, I said HELL YES as this is not my debt, it better not be on my credit file and that he better stop harrasing me. He then hung up.

I have been receiving calls from this number as well. I had contacted the NYC Surpreme Court and they stated that this person doesnt work for them.

I got a call from 2 separate numbers implying that there was a case against me and I'd better take care of it "so help me God!" They stated my social security number and home address and said they would come here if i did not return their call that day. Knowing that I wouldn't be invovled in any matters as such i googled it as i do EVERYTHING and sure enough its a scam.  Although i'm not sure if it is a legal scam if their is such a thing.  Impersonating an officer...not cool.

I keep getting the same phone calls, but there many be two or more people saying that they are with a law firm.
I tell them to stop calling they are not going to get any money from me. Mail me some infor. that I have a bill.
All I get is more of the same think give them my bank acct. or they will put me in jail.
If you are getting the same calls and they are saying the same thinks just hang-up and call the Attorney General
