I too have been receiving phone calls for two weeks from a phone number 415-484-6151 telling me that I owe over $487.00 to a cash advance USA and they knew my SSI number and told me that the police had been contacted and were coming to my place of employment to arrest me if I didnt clear the bill. The really funny thing is that I havent worked at the place of employment for 12 years and I called my local sheriffs dept and had them on the phone at the same time these people that barely spoke english called. They started over with their lawsuit mess again and I told them that the sheriffs dept was listenting to the phone call and they hung up instantly. I am now wondering since I am disabled and they have my SSI number can they get into my bank acct. Oh yes I forgot these people even asked for my Attorneys name and I told them they were full of S---. The guy said his name was John Smith, how original. I am going to contact my bank and the credit burea becasue somehow they know all about my.

I received a long rambling message on my answering machine saying that i had 2 days to contact this guy named Steven Johnson or they would file a lawsuit against me on Monday. I did call the number, and the guy finally came on the phone, after a women had a long discussion with him. I told him I wanted to know who I was speaking with, he never answered, then i asked what company he was with. He responded by saying "The United States Legal Division"...he told me I needed to call back in the morning and hung up on me.

Lies. Don't give them any money. First if you did owe a loan it is a civil matter not criminal. They are trying to scare you by saying that you will be arrested for Fraud and they are sending the police to your job to arrest you. It's all Lies. Tell them to send them and ask for documentation to your debt. I guarantee they will start getting angry, curse and throw on more threats. They may hang up on you after stating"So you are not going to pay this money?". They will call back several times after you say this. I said "Why are you calling back..shouldn't you be at the courthouse filing papers" This sent him off on a cursing fit. He even had his "Supervisor" call me cursing. They are scammers.

They are not a legit company. They are scammers trying to get you to send them money. They think by constanstly calling and threatening you that you will give in. They have called my workplace numerous times (at least 8 times a day) for the last week. Made threats against me to my boss when she got on the phone and informed them to stop calling it was harrassment, cursed at both of us and started screaming and hollering. There is no validity to there claims of you owing them money.Keep track of your bank accounts because they do have a lot of personal information about a lot of the people they are calling. Thankfully the account information that they quoted to me has been closed for some years now, but they had a social security number. I'm 100% sure you will not be getting any papers served on you. These people tried this same scam on me a few years ago,and have started it again. I told them to file the papers. A true collection agency and law firm will not have a problem 1) sending you documentation that the debt is yours and 2)give you their address to send payment 3)speak in a professional manner at all times.

I posted my complaint about these people a few days ago.  What I did was I put the phone numbers into a reverse lookup and found out all the 646 numbers they call from are all Verizon Wireless cell phone numbers located somewhere in New York.  They've stopped since calling me after I told them if I had taken out a payday loan with "1800 Cash" then email me the loan agreement or fax me the documentation that I signed.  I also told them if they actually sent me anything I'd have proof of that along with my bank statements to file a complaint against with the Chicago police department (which is where I live).  If these f*ckers actually send you all anything, then take that to a police station.  I also suggest protecting your social security number with a credit bureau because that seems to be the way these jerks are getting ahold of our information.

i got a phone call on 646-558-2000...same thing. Every day every week it is a diferent number. He said he was calling from fraudgelent security division or something like that. First one guy was on the phone when I answered and then it sounded like  he switched with someone. I asked why he was calling.Something about a cash net payday loan..I asked him what he had to fax me. He said this was a serious legal matter and he could only fax my attorney. So I said if it involves me you will fax me. He was like oh I have your ss # and named the place I work..He was like what is the name of your attorney. I said fax me first..he gave some excuse. I hung up. I am so sick of these people calling and making these threats.

Just received a phone call from this place and he was very hard to understand but he did say that if I didn't settle this I was going to court and to jail and that it would cost me $5000 in court costs.  I'm going to wait for the paperwork to come from the courts and not pay him.  Has anyone received any legal papers from this place?

I received a call from a man at 8am on the dot this morning.  I didn't quite catch his name because he spoke broken english.  He was trying to tell me that I took out a payday loan with 1-800 Cash.  I've never in my life taken out a payday loan.  He said the funds were deposited into my Bank of America account, and account that I closed back in August of 2008, and that I hadn't paid the company back.  He says they are suing me for stealing money and the the "legal matter" was being taken to court in the state of Illinois, which is where I live.  So I said how come I haven't been served with subpoena papers because isn't that what you receive when people are suing you?  So then he gets all loud about it talking about I don't want to hear anything else you have to say! Are you going to pay this or not?  I said no let me speak to someone else.  So he transfers me to some woman who apparently has a "file number" about this payday loan company.  So I told her to give me the number of the payday loan company and I will contact them myself.  She said she couldn't do that because they are pissed that their customers are stealing their money.  Then she goes on to say when am I going to settle this out of court?  So I give her a few choice words and hang up.  The original number they called me from is 800-374-1000, which I called back.  It was a number to a laundry service and the woman I spoke to said somehow these people have been using their number to scam people.  So about an hour later I get a restricted phone call.  I didn't answer but it was them again.  This time a man named David Cooper leaves me a voicemail with the number 646-918-5119.  I called him back and he told me not to take this matter lightly blah blah blah and that a freeze will be placed on my social security number.  I said you all have got to think I am the dumbest person alive.  So I started going off again and he hung up on me.  So I called the number back.  It was the same guy, this time he tells his name is JIM MORRISON....of The Doors.....who died some thirty odd years ago.  I said your name is Jim Morrison. He says yes and he is from the Legal Document Processing Unit Company.  So I told them if they called me again I would take legal action against this "company."  I've registered with a credit bureau so they can monitor anything suspicious going on with my social security number and I advise everyone to do the same.  It's about 20 bucks a month but it's worth it.

My mother received an unintelligible message today on her answering machine, which led her to to believe I was either being taken to jail or being sued for tens of thousands of dollars.  The number was blocked as "private" on her caller id and the return number given was 646-918-5119.  This stemmed from a pay day loan I had taken out over 2 years ago and had paid back promptly.  When I returned the call, a man of obvious Indian dialect started reading off a script, 70% of which I couldn't understand.  The jist of it though was that I was being accused of defaulting on the title loan.  They had all my vital information correct, including my bank account number.   When I would try to interject a question, he would completely ignore it and run on with his script.  At the end of his tirade he said, "We are doing this to you to hold you up as an example for other people who don't pay their debts".  I was told my "information was being downloaded" and that I could expect a case to be filed in court first thing on Monday morning (it's Friday).  Solution?  Knowing I did NOT default on this loan and paid it in full, I am going tomorrow to change my bank account numbers.  I'm also filing a complaint with my Attorney Generals office.  I would urge others to do the same.  david.j.link at gmail.com

I keep getting a call from 646-918-5119 for a friend of mine. They tell me she used me as a reference on a loan and they are going to sue me and put me in jail if I do not pay her loan. I called my friend and told her about the call and gave her the phone number so she could call them back. They have hung up on her twice. I have told them not to call my number again, but so far they have ignored me. I have told them to go to h@#l but they havent yet.

A man by the name of "Frank" called repeatedly asking for a specific person in my household. This man said he was representing the "legal department" to inform the person of a lawsuit. When asked, he failed to state whose so called legal department, what company, or anything...When asked to leave information he simply said his name was "Frank", something a real professional rep wouldn't do. On the caller id the numbver comes up unavailable, but he leaves the 646 number. He has an Indian accent.

I have been getting calls From a Frank Jackson for now close to a month this is about the 3rd number he has called from saying he is with National Processing Division. Has a thick Indian accent and threatens me with arrest if I do not call him back. I think it's funny that he thinks i'm gonna call him back. To be safe I put an alert on my credit and filed a report with the FTC and local police department.

It's a scam, please don't give them any money. I got a call from some Indian dude name Brian. He said I owed Crowning Lending and US National Bank. I'm actually a vicitim of ID theft and did not take out a loan. Anyhoo, I told him to give me the number to both companies, he gave me one number 360-350-1994, which is not Crown Lending or US National Bank. They're all working together with different numbers, but it's the same company.

I knew this was a scam because I received a call from another company last month. The person said her name was Kathleen Shorestein and it was her law office. Her deal was the same as this Indian dude, they're going to have me arrested, blah, blah, blah... This was a different company, totally different scam.... But, there are people out there using the same scam tactics, just be aware.

Since I knew this was a scam, I googled National Processing Division, Crown Lending, and US National Bank, low and behold, many blogs/postings on Ripoff Report.com, 1800notes.com, and a few other sites, where people have actually sent money to these people and got scammed. I also called all of these places, they had no knowledge of who I was and what it is I owed.

One thing to remember with any copmany you may owe money to, they can not just come to your home and arrest you. The legal procedures for a company to obtain money from you is, 1. contact you by phone (no harrasment), 2. send a letter to your home, stating the debt and allow you 30 days to make payment arrangments, dispute the information in writting or with proven documentation. 3. If you do not repsond within a certain time frame, they can either post the information on your credit report, or the company can file a suit against you for non-payment.

The suit will not be to get you locked up/thrown in jail, the suit is to ensure the compaany get there money. If the company files a suit against you, they have to file in your local/county court, the court will have to send you a summons in the mail, not send the police or an investigator. After you receive the summons and you still don't appear in court, then 9 times out of 10, the judge will grant the company full payment, plus any additional fee's incurred and they can also grant a writ to garnish wages.

If you continue to receive calls like this, tell them to stop calling, come pick you up, or plain and simple to kiss your a**....

I too have had this phone call saying that I owe crown lending and when I asked what the crown lendings phone number was I was given 360-350-1994 and I said I would call him back after a while and I called crown lending myself not the number he gave me and I spoke with crown lending they have no record of me owing them this money. So I called this gentle man back told him I just spoke to the bank he said I owed money to and they said I did not they had no record of me owing anything! He said you did not speak to the bank I said I most certainly did. I did not call the number you gave me but looked up crown lendings phone number and called them. He then seemed to be a little upset and I said could you please show me anything that I signed for them and he said "FINE JUST WAIT FOR THE LAWSUIT". I then in turn called my bank and low and behold I have had some over seas atm charges posting to my account! I have now started a fraud claim. Good luck and don't fall victim to these people!!!
