I received a letter on November 1st, 2008 stating that I've won $150,000 in conjunction with the Consumer promotions. Enclosed was a check of $4,921.54 and it requested an amount of $2,998.00 to be paid either by Western Union or Moneygram to the tax agent.
This letter looks fraud and will report to the appropriate authority.

I received a letter and a check telling me that I had won $150,000.00. The check was for $4998.79 and I am supposed to western union $2998.00 for government taxes. I am not going to call this #1-647-219-7190 or speak with Joy Wilson (claim agent). The letter stated I was a winner of the national lotto co-operation sweepstakes in conjunction with Samsung promotions. The letter was not official looking at all with St. Jude Insurance, Inc. as a business letterhead that was obviously taken from word art in word perfect and a plain white envelope with no company address. I am going to contact the USPS fraud department to report this.
